I felt the sun shining through my window, warming my face. As my brain came back from La La Land I realized something.

"OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG YAY!!!!! SpiritClaw here I come!!!!" I started screaming like a half crazed fan girl. I jumped out of bed, and ran to my closet. SpiritClaw didn't have a uniform, so we were free to wear whatever we wanted as long as it met dress code requirements. Shorts had to be below the butt cheeks by at least two inches. No spaghetti straps, but tank tops are fine. No flashing belly buttons, necklines must not go below the armpit. It was a reasonable code, and still left room for kids to be creative and express themselves. I pulled my tank top over my head, laced up my combat boots and went to brush my hair.

I packed my phone, laptop, and chargers in my backpack. Then finished packing my books, clothes, shoes, accessories, and anything else I would need in my suitcases. I tucked my wand in my boot, checked everything again, then hauled it all down stairs. My wand is walnut wood, has a phoenix feather core and it's 12 1/2 inches long.

"Mom! Are you ready to go? I don't want to miss the flight!"

"Alix, Calm down. We don't need to be there until nine. It takes an hour and a half to get there. Which means we need to leave by seven. Seven thirty at the latest. It is ten till six. I swear, you won't be late!"

"Please hurry, I want to get there early!" I'm so exited to go to a magical school.

"Go eat some cereal, We will leave at six thirty. I will not leave before then." I went to the kitchen and poured myself some captain crunch. I had three bowls, then stared at the clock. Tick. Tick. Tick.

"Mom, It's six thirty! Can we go now?"

"Fine. Let's go."

"YES! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I had already loaded in all my stuff, so I screamed "SHOTGUN!" and jumped into the car. My mom just laughed and told me to settle down and buckle up. I put on my headphones an played my music until we got to the airport. It was an hour long flight until we got to SpiritClaw. My mom hugged me and we said goodbye. I got on and found my seat. I sat down and waited. A blond girl came and sat next to me.

"Hi, My name's Alix." I held out my hand to the girl and she shook it eagerly.

"Hi Alix, I'm Jade, It's nice to meet you. I'm guessing your going to SpiritClaw too. Well duh sorry everyone on this plane is. How stupid of me. I'm sorry. I love your outfit, It's so cute. And that necklace is just beautiful, but I just adore that ring." I stopped her before she could go on.

"Jade, not to be rude, but your rambling."

"Sorry, I tend to do that when I'm nervous. I didn't grow up around magic so I'm new to this whole deal. And my parents home schooled me so I've never gone to a school with more than three people before."

"I totally get it. I don't come from a magic family either, and I never was popular at school."

"Really, but your so pretty, and you just ooze confidence. How did kids miss that?" I just laughed.

"The cool kids didn't like me, I have to strong a personality, I just don't fit with a bunch of shallow rich kids. I never wanted to be popular anyway, It would just be annoying to have people buzzing around like flies all day. Yeah, the popular life just isn't for me. I challenge the ranks way to much, and way to often for that." We talked for the rest of the flight.

When we finally got there they had us exit by alphabetical order, so Jade and I got to stand next to each other. Ashley Paddock, Jade Rider, Alixandrea Ritner, Deus Stone, Jacob Tell.

They marched us all towards these beautiful swan boats and had us five to a boat before sending us across the lake to the castle. The doors swung open and we were greeted by a young woman around twenty by the looks of it, with her hair changing colors constantly.

"Hello guys and girls, I'm Natasha Quinn and I'm the principal. You will be sorted into groups before dinner and you will sit with your assigned groups for tonight." They lined us up and one by one we went up onto this stage thing and set our hands on a crystal ball. The ball changed colors to put us in groups based on our personalities. For Jade and I the ball turned red. Some kids got purple others got black or bright yellow. They told us about the groups, and they called them sectors. The Red Sector is called StrongHeart. It is for people who are bold, ambitious, and are always themselves. The yellow sector was for kids who were cheery, exited, and had a lot of energy and was called Sunhold. The purple called Ravenhide was for the wise, book smart people who used their brains to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Black was for the kids who would stop at nothing to reach their goals, they always zeroed in on one goal, achieved it and set another. They were called Darkhunt. We said hello to our fellow stronghearts, ate dinner and then the Sector Leader led us to our dorms. Jade and I were rooming with Ashley and Brittney. Whoever they were. Jade and I got to the dorm first so we picked the two beds closest to the window and the hall. We unpacked our stuff as two girls walked in.

"I want that bed so you need to move." one of the girls said to me.

"I'm going to ignore that comment for a moment if you don't mind. I'm Alix, and this is Jade. What are your names?"

"I'm Ashley, call me Ash, This is Brittney, call her Britt. Now, Alix sweetie. You need to move I want that bed."

"Well Ash, Darling." I replied my voice dripping with sweetness. Then, my cocky attitude returned. "We got here first and I'm not moving so deal with it. You can have one of the beds over there."

"Do you not know who I am?" I went back to unpacking ignoring her.

"No, am I supposed to care?"

"I am Ashley Paddock, you know the sole heir one of the last pure blood family lines."

"That's great, If were going to start throwing around titles. I'm Alixandrea Ritner, Queen of the Amazons, Daughter of Hades, Heir to the throne of Hell."

"Oh, were sorry to disturb you your majesty." Britt finally spoke up. "We didn't know, we apologize."

"Brittney right, don't worry it's no problem at all. Stupid here," I pointed to Ashley, " I won't hold her actions against you."

"Did you just call me stupid."

"Yeah, got a problem with it, cause I would be happy to call my dad. He asked me to call as soon as I got settled and that if anyone gave me any trouble that he'd take care of it." Ashley looked terrified and started backing away.

"N N No, I didn't mean any trouble, this bed over her looks great your right." she tripped over her suitcase and flopped on to the bed." Jade laughed and then looked at me torn.

"Your seriously Queen of the Amazons, Daughter of Hades, Heir to the throne of Hell and all that Jazz?" she looked scared.

"Yeah, it's no biggie though. I'm not a stuck up snob like some people would think or anything, and I absolutely hate to bring it up, because when I do people treat me differently. Even you're looking at me differently." She looked shocked for a moment.

"That makes sense. It must be cool being Queen of the Amazons."

"Yeah, I hate the Percy Jackson books because they look at us in a bad light. We fight for Women's rights, and yes, we run the amazon company, and yes male workers wear jumpsuits and collars, but it's their job. We pay them to work and they wear the uniform. Although they got the challenging the throne thing right. My mom was the queen but she died in battle, so I became temporary Queen. I went through a few years when people would challenge me every day, but I won all the time and I kept the throne. Now my warriors trust and respect me, as a Queen that's all I ask of my people."

"That's awesome, but I'm sorry about your mom."

"Don't be she died a noble death to protect her people, we were at war, she fought and save a ton of lives because of it. My Mother died a hero, and she wouldn't have it any other way."

"How old were you when you took the throne?"

"Ten."

"You became a Queen at ten years old? That must have been so much pressure, how did you not go insane?" I turned to look at her and smirked.

"Who said I didn't?"
