Eyes widened as he saw three giant black glowing orbs swirling, hovered over her sleeping body. At first Jefferson didn't know what to do about it or if he should do anything. 

A split second later, he was in her room shooing the orbs away from her. Whatever these things were, it couldn't be good, he thought. 

The black orbs swirled up and floated out of the room and away. Then Joline sat up out of a dead sleep and stared at him. 

Jefferson gave her a deer caught in the headlights look before quickly dashing out of the room. He stayed outside watching to see if those things would come back. Hopeful that he'd scared them off for the night or even longer, he still watched intently. His thoughts raced as to what those things were, what they meant and what they wanted.  As the next hour of the night slipped away the most he saw was her moving around in her sleep. 

           He paced back and forth in front of her window jittery with nerves and thoughts rambling. What if its worse than we thought? What if she needs me and I fail to protect her again? Jefferson thought.

As the sun rose far off in the distance, he thought it'd be best to stick around and watch over her for a few nights just to see if anything else develops. Jameson could handle Newton and the others for a few days. He was needed here.
