Backstory: she wasn't sent to the school as a baby but at about 8 she was found outside the school speaking mandarin and searching for someone, it's often theorized by the older members that when her family discovered her mutation they didn't know what sign to take it as, she was taught English but still kept speaking mandarin so she doesn't lose that part of herself and was trained on how to handle her mutation
