"Look Wade! Over here! Its a orphanage for mutants!" I said happily

"Ugh.. Can we not keep looking in orphanages? I want a kid too but, this is too much for one day" He replied with a groan

"I just wanna look Wade. Please?"

"Ugh.. fine. Your lucky I love you"

We walked in to be created by Professor X. He showed us around and introduced us to some of the mutant kids that were looking for loving homes. There were a few that were kind and sweet but, a really little girl stood out. She had brownish-red hair that was in two messy pigtails and pale skin with freckles. Her eyes were a bright blue. She was in the corner by a window, A blue butterfly in her hands as she whispered to it. I walked over.

"Hi there" I said softly

She turned to me, the butterfly flying out of her hands and around her

"I'm Peter, whats your name?" I asked

She stayed quiet and whispered "Emily.."

"I'm sorry I didn't hear you"

"Emily" She said a bit louder. Her eyes looked at me, her glance was soft and afraid

I smiled "That's a very pretty name." I said

We stayed there for a while, playing with the kids, but me and Emily bonded. A week later she was dropped off at me and wades new apartment to finally be ours. We legally adopted her a week later and we were a family...
