The One Where He's Bi.
This isn't a Spidey one shot (although Peter is in it!), it's is a Steve centric story with a side of Stucky so feel free to skip if you don't like it!

It wasn't as if Steve knew he was in love with Bucky when they were younger, back before the war and before Captain America.
He had always assumed that everyone thought of Bucky like that.
That everyone looked at Bucky and thought he was prettiest person in the room, way prettier then the dames that Buck was flirting with.
He'd never even considered for a moment that the way he felt about Bucky wasn't normal.
Then Bucky fell off of the train and it was like a part of Steve's soul had been crushed and thrown away.
For the first time Steve thought that maybe he did like Bucky a little more then he was supposed to. A little more then was acceptable.
He liked Bucky the same way he liked Peggy.
But then again Steve's pretty sure everyone likes Peggy that way, just like he was pretty sure everyone thought of Bucky that way.
He had been wrong. Most guys didn't think about what Bucky would look like naked and most girls didn't think about how soft Peggy's lips were and Steve was almost positive no one thought about both of those things simultaneously.
So Steve did everything in his power to push these things down. Ignore them both as best he could and eventually crash a plane into the ocean to avoid ever having to deal with them.
That was fine, problem solved until he woke up seventy years later and now not only was he stuck thinking about Bucky naked and Peggy's lips, he had to try and ignore Tony's ass and Natasha's arms and the fact that Thor could probably crush him with those muscles of his and he was more then willing to let that happen.
So yea, if Steve has know he was in love with Bucky back before all of this, he probably would have flung himself off of the nearest cliff.
~*~
When Bucky turned up in the twenty-first century decked out with a new arm, long hair and terrible makeup Steve really didn't know what to think.
He had finally grown used to the fact that everyone he knew was dead and then the person that matters most to him turns up, trying to stab him with no recollection of who he was.
It was a lot, too much for Steve to even try to sort out in his brain but then Tony offers to help find him and Steve's sobbing in his lab while Tony tries to comfort him as best he can but Steve is 240 pounds of pure muscle and Tony's 5 foot 8 so it's a mess.
They make it work and once Steve has finally stopped crying (they both promise to never talk about it, Nat probably already knows even if she never mentions it) they start working on finding Bucky.
And they do find him. Eventually.
With the help of Sam who Steve met on his run. He flirted badly, he doesn't think Sam even knew he was flirting.
He added Sams back and shoulders muscles to the list of things he was trying desperately to ignore.
But Sams funny and he's good at what he does so he joins the Avengers, keeps an eye on Bucky while he in the Cryostasis Chamber and Steve has to go on missions with the others.
Tony gets a personal intern, he helps Tony in the lab. Steve's pretty sure he's heard Tony call him Spider-Man on multiple occasions, it's not his business so he ignores it.
Plus Peter, Steve thinks that's the name Tony told him (Tony always calls him a variety of different nicknames which makes it hard to be certain), is helping to make Bucky a new arm for when he's better so if Peter really is Spider-Man he'll take that to the grave.
Peter seems nice, from the little interaction they've had, he keeps Tony on his toes also makes him eat more and actually get the recommended amount of sleep.
Unless of course they 'accidentally' pull an all nighter when they are working on a project.
Tony loves him like a son, anyone can see that so Steve ignores the weird looks that Peter gives whenever he hangs out in the lab, near where Bucky is in the Cryo Chamber, drawing or reading or anything really as long as he's near Bucky.
He thinks, off handily one afternoon when he's sketching Buckys abs from memory and Peter is giving him that weird look again, that maybe Peter knows what's he thinking and what he's drawing even if no one has ever looked in his sketchbook.
"You love him don't you?" Peter asks when it's just the two of them in the lab, Tony off getting his tenth cup of coffee in the last hour.
Steve looks up from his sketchbook and tries to stutter out some half assed excuse, tries to tell him that he doesn't but Peter already knows the answer.
"You loved Peggy too." It isn't a question this time yet Steve nods anyway.
"I'm not broken." Steve defends, he's unsure of why he's defending himself. He shouldn't care what some teenager thinks of him.
And he's pretty sure being gay isn't a crime anymore, he hasn't had too much free time to be able to read up on these things and he's still not one hundred percent sure how the internet works, but he's seen guys kiss other guys in public and most people didn't bat an eyelid.
Some people yelled slurs at the couple, so Steve knew homophobia wasn't completely gone. He's just glad they weren't beaten to death in some back alley.
He wasn't sure about people who like men and women though, because he did. He liked both.
A lot, he'd realised after he needed to take a cold shower after a particularly drunken night (not that he was drunk, he couldn't get drunk but the rest were) with the howling commandos, watching them flirt with every girl that walked in and Steve didn't know who he was more jealous off.
The girls or Bucky.
"Why would you be broken?" Peter asks, head tilted to the side like a puppy. He seems genuinely curious and Steve wonders how he's still so innocent after everything he's been through.
"Because I like Men and Women and that's not normal?" Steve asks. He can feel his heart trying to escape his rib cage and he wants to run, avoid this conversation but he forces himself to stay in his seat.
"Not normal?" Peter repeats, like it never even occurred to him that someone could think that. "Being Bisexual is perfectly normal thank you very much."
"Bisexual?" Steve asks, because growing up he never had a term for it. Never met anyone else like it. He assumed it was just him.
But now he's learning that there's not only a word for it but other people feel like that too.
"Yea? Bisexual. It's when you like men and women..." Peter explains and it took him way to long to realise that Steve didn't know a lot about the LGBTQ+ community being an icicle for seventy years probably didn't help."I'm Bi too. There's load of different sexuality's and gender identities I could help you research them if you like?"
Steve nods mutely and moves to sit next to Peter as he pulls out his laptop.
When Tony comes back, he helps too and it's all a little overwhelming but he take it in, makes notes on a blank page of his sketchbook and put stars next to things he want to read more about.
And when Bucky gets out of the cyro chamber, Steve comes out to him. He explains what being Bi means and Bucky confesses that he's been going to gay bars since he was fifteen with a fake idea so he knows what that is already.
Steve kisses him, he doesn't have time to pull away in panic before Bucky is kissing him back.
Steve knows that he's been in love with Bucky for a very long time and, as he later confesses when they are in bed a few months after their first kiss, Bucky has always been in love with him too.
