Stark Tower

Avengers Floor

10:01 A.M.

"Okay, so, plan A?" Tony asked, clapping his hands together. Everyone looked at each other, shifting their gazes uncomfortably.

"Well, he'd a strong one, and he's quick too," Sam started, scratching his head. Tony rolled his eyes.

"Well, duh! I asked what's plan A, not what's obvious." Tony snorted. Sam shrugged. After about ten minutes, Tony snapped his fingers.

"I got it!" he exclaimed. Natasha rolled her eyes.

"No, Tony you see; we need a real plan." she smiled as she got a few snickers and chuckles. Tony gasped, looking offended. "I'll let you know, Romanoff, that I have a very brilliant mind!" Tony exclaimed. Clint whispered to Pietro,

"Of a two-year-old," he finished. Pietro and him giggled in the corner. Steve rolled his eyes.

"Okay, so what's your idea, Tony?" Tony looked pleased with himself. "I think..," he gave a pause for effect, "that Wanda over here and show him his worst fear, maybe we can find a name for him, and then approach him in our civilian clothes." Everyone looked pleased with his plan, but Wanda shifted uncomfortably.

"It can break people, you know," she whispered. Everyone stopped talking and looked at her. She shifted in her seat.

**Wanda's P.O.V**

I shifted uncomfortably under my team's blazing glances. Tony shrugged, straightening the papers in front on him.

"If you don't want to, we will just find another way..," Tony said, walking away slowly. I felt the guilt gnaw at my stomach instantly. I stood up.

"No wait!" Everyone glanced at me, "I will do it, if that's what we all agree on." Everyone exchanged satisfied looks.

"Then it's settled then." Steve finalized. Everyone nodded in agreement, whilst I stayed silent. I blurred out everyone's words focusing on my mind. Please, child. Don't let this affect you... I'm sorry for what comes next...

Midtown High

Peter Parker's Locker

10:34 A.M.

**Third Person P.O.V**

Peter closed his locker shut with one swing of his hand. Today hasn't been that bad, considering he was only late to one class, and he wasn't counted tardy because his teacher was late. He thanked god for that one. Maybe today wasn't going to suck! There was a small ringing in the back of his skull, and before he could turn around fully, there was a huge crash, and a bunch of people screaming and shouting came from the corner. The impact of the explosion knocked Peter off his feet; he had to practically limp his way over to a dark corner were the screaming children wouldn't see him. Making sure his coast was clear, Peter quickly changed into his Spiderman costume. Man, I need to wash this thing-, his thoughts were cut short by the loud screech of someone; no, it was something. Something not human. Walking slowly, he heard the police sirens in the short distance. He glanced at the bathroom, and saw what he had feared. There was a lab-coat next to a gaping hole in the earth, where a toilet should've been. Taking a deep breath, he dove into the tunnel.

Walking in the sewers was supposed to be not-at-all normal, for most people. You see, the key word there was supposed. Peter very well remembered most of the tunnel routes, and some of the intersections where one tunnel met the other. Remembering when to take a left and when to duck, Peter walked slowly through the sewers. Slowly and surely, he found his way to the small laboratory that Dr. Curt Connors had made himself. He saw the laptop in the middle of the laboratory, and soon realized that it was recorded today. With a heavy heart and with a swing of his head to look around, Peter pressed play. It showed Dr. Curt Connors, his eyes wide and agonizing. He was holding something very close to him, and Peter couldn't see clearly of what it was.

"Peter," Curt started, taking a deep breath. He smiled sheepishly at the camera. Peter's eyes widened even more. "I'd knew you'd come here. I thought I'd told you to stay out of my stuff?" Curt had a smile on his face, and Peter had the guts to smile back sadly.

"Peter, there's not much time. The antidote hasn't worked fully. I'm turning as we speak, I pray to god that you'll find this, I know you know what to do. The antidote Gwen had made was only half complete, it needed more components. Search up the file of 013. She tried to deleted the file, but I saved it backup before I left for prison. Please, Peter you have to help me." The screen blanked, and Peter was left with the dreaded silence. With a deep breath, he turned and jumped off the wall. The Lizard hissed at his prey.

"Hey, Gecko. Miss me?" he snickered. The Lizard snorted, or at least, it seemed it did.

"I don't know why your against me, Peter. Combined, we could make them bow!" The Lizard said, his voice was deep. Peter shivered at the thought of joining a team with the Lizard. A horrible nightmare come true. In response, Peter lifted his web-shooters and fired. It landed lightly onto one of the Lizard's arm, and with a sharp click, a jolt of electricity came rushing through the Lizard's body. The Lizard let out a blood-curdling shriek of havoc, and soon crumpled to the ground.

"Oh you work so well!" Peter said, taking a look at his new, smaller, and more efficient web-shooters. "I'm awfully sorry that the first thing that I had to fry was lizard, though." Peter tried to act disappointed as he took a slow step towards the grounded monster.

"You know, Doc," Peter said, watching intently as the Lizard twitched on the ground, smoke rising from his arm and shoulder blade.

"This may come to a shock to you, but I want to focus on saving the city, not destroying it," Peter finished. He was just about to poke the doctor to see if he was dead when his tail slashed and whipped at Peter's side. Peter let out a small yelp of surprise, but quickly recovered. Without delay, the Lizard snarled and leaped onto Peter, locking him down to the ground. Peter yelled and tried to get loose, clawing at the Lizard's moist skin. Smirking, the Lizard slid his dagger-sharp claws down Peter's side.

"Poor Peter Parker..." The Lizard restated from that dreadful night, "all alone: no parents, no uncle, no friends, no anyone," Peter knew that he was right, he killed anyone that merely talked to him. Heck, that guy he smiled to at Target was probably dead already. Peter jerked his leg free of the Lizard's grasp, and kicked him square in the chin. Out of surprise, the Lizard let go of Peter. Peter dropped to the ground with a hard thud. The Lizard gave one last snarl at the kid before he ran off to topside.

"Yeah, you better run..." Peter murmured to himself. Peter pulled himself straight up and jogged out. He decided that before he could do anything else, he had to get the antidote first. Going up to Oscorp, he decided that maybe he should go to the backside. Peter had already known that the Lizard was heading towards Oscorp; that was were all his research was. Finding the file with the number 013, Peter read over what Gwen had done. Gwen. Her name shot a bullet through Peter's heart, but he pushed that aside. He quickly found the problem; Gwen had been going to fast in her work, and she put 'y' instead of 'x'. Thankfully the only change was that 'y' meant that the antidote was only temporary. (Sorry if this is wrong, I'm just basing this off of notes, sorry! A\N) Peter impatiently waited for the antidote to burn. When the little 'ding', he was basically already out of the window. He stalked up to the top of the tower. The Lizard's snarl gave Peter shivers down his spine. Aliening his web-shooters with Curt's arm, he fired. He had attached the antidote to a needle, said needle was in the Lizard's arm, draining the fluid into his blood-stream. The needle was lodged into his web-shooter. And Peter was thankful it worked, or else he would have to wait about another 15 minutes before he could try again. The Lizard let out a shriek, and fell to the ground, Peter, being prepared, covered him in a large blanket. Peter called the ambulance. It arrived shortly, and Connors thanked him, before stepping into the police car.

Peter sighed, watching the city below him. He was at the top of Oscorp's tower, watching the night lights below him.

"Peter," Peter froze. A hand touched his shoulder, and he jerked away. Peering around, Peter saw Captain Stacy, blood drooling down his chin, and three deep, and gushing wounds at his chest. Gasping, Peter stumbled on some debris, falling with a oof

"Your gonna make enemies, people will get hurt... Sometimes people closest to you. So I want you to promise me something okay? Leave. Gwen. Outta. It. Promise me that, huh? You promise me?" Captain Stacy's eyes moved away from Peter's brown haze. He let out his final breath. Peter's breath hitched. He closed his eyes and slowly tried to calm himself, which didn't work for a while.
