Peter's POV (Important A/N at the bottom)

I felt my heart stop. "W-what?" I managed to get out. "What's wrong?"

"Two very bad things have happened," Ned replied, "so, do you want to hear the bad news, or.....the worse news?"

"T-the bad news?"

Ned sighed. "Someone tried to hack our comms and trace the signal. I was able to fight them off, which, by the way, is why I wasn't helping you escape from the Avengers. Also holy you have the Avengers after you. Anyway, I kicked them out but they got some info," Ned said in one huge breath. Inhaling again, he continued, "And that's the worse news. They know you have a team of four, and they know our codenames."

My heart started to beat faster and my vision started to blur. "Peter!" I could faintly hear Ned talking over the thumping of my heart but I couldn't focus on his words. All I could focus on was I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I CAN'T BREATHE. A dozen different scenarios ran through my mind, of what would happen if people knew my identity. May, MJ, Ned, Flash...I couldn't let that happen.

I grabbed a jacket to throw over my suit and bolted out the door, ignoring Ned's calls. I sprinted down a flight of stairs, and then another, and then I lost count as I just kept running, until I skidded to a stop in front of a door marked "EXIT." I darted out into the street, only one thought on my mind. They can't get hurt.

So...hey. This is a short (read: angsty) chapter that was meant to be longer but since people wanted me to update. I decided to split it in half and update it. Now, I have a very important question for you all. I will likely be ending this book soon, and I am thinking of making a sequel. Here's the catch: I want it to be Parkner/Parley. If you don't know what that is, it is the ship of Peter Parker X Harley Kneener, and it is my OTP. My only question is...would you guys read it? This is not a very popular ship, but hear me out. I love both Spideychelle and Spideypool, but I prefer not to write them. IDK why, but I just don't. And I could write a sequel without any ship but it would be pretty boring. So here's the question: Would you read a sequel, and would you still read it if it was Parkner/Parley? Comment your answer! Bye Bookworms!
