Thanks, but no thanks.
Peter/Spiderman POV
I was about to head home. It was a normal patrol, 14 muggings, only a couple had guns. Then my super-hearing picked up a faint sound of a earpiece crackling. I spotted Iron-Man flying behind me. Now that he was closer, I could make out faint words, “No sign of Spiderman. Why are we hunting him down again?”
“Stark, we’ve been over this. We need to find out his identity, he could be a threat. And if we do find it out, Fury can blackmail him into joining the Avengers.” A voice I assumed was Black Widow said impatiently.
“Why would he need blackmail?” A new voice joined the conversation, sounding like Hawkeye. “Wouldn’t he want to join?”
Black Widow was back. “I asked Fury about that. Apparently they sent agents to talk to him about it, but he declined. When they pushed, he webbed them up and left them.”
I remembered that. Those agents were annoying. Suddenly the other things they had said registered in my head. They were going to capture me and force me to give them my identity. I can’t let that happen!!
I ducked behind a billboard and stayed hidden while they searched the area.
“I don't get it?” Iron Man said, frustrated, “there were multiple sighting of him here most days.”
“Well, he’s not here anymore.” Black Widow said. “Let’s go.”
Iron Man took off, but my spidey-senses told me that Hawkeye's and Black Widow’s plane hadn’t left, they probably thought if I was hiding I would come out when I thought they were all gone.
Ha! I thought. You can’t trick me that easily.
Eventually they gave up and flew back to the avengers tower.
I know this was really short and really boring(to me it was, and I was the one that wrote it) but I promise the next chapter will be very long, and be exciting
