" oh, how I've missed you. "

"It's kind of saddening, to be honest," You admitted. Currently, you were in the last few rounds of interviews for your new movie, The Greatest Showman. Usually, you'd be perfectly fine, but your mind was somewhere far away from where it was supposed to be because the love of your life was out filming, doing press interviews, and conventions for Infinity War. "I was fine with it before, but now that we're engaged, I have this piece of me missing. I'm so thankful that there are only a few days left until the premiere."
The interview continued on, questions involving your engagement to Tom coming up quite frequently. With each mention, your heart sank a little. You tried to keep your head up and not get too distracted and away from the focus on your movie, but until you had him in your arms, your head would be hazy.

Your flight was quick and simple, considering your last few interviews were fairly close to Amsterdam. The fact that you had spent so much time thinking about seeing your favourite person again made you nervous and jubilant all wrapped into one.
The countdown that you had started twenty-three hours ago was almost up. Your knee was bouncing up and down as you impatiently sat in front of the mirror, waiting for your stylists to get the finishing touches done. You not only were nervous about seeing Tom again, but the fact that everything was surrounding you movie had potentially slipped your mind. You had only been on a red carpet a few times before, but it was for smaller movies.
Now, you were one of the main characters in an amazing movie. The actors were great and well-known, the plot was flawless, and the vibrancy of the sets was unbelievable. It was fun doing one-on-one interviews, but you had to start preparing yourself for taking photos and doing rushed questionnaires, too.
Your thoughts had dragged you all the way to six o'clock, meaning that you would have to go out any minute. Preparing yourself both physically and mentally, you heard a soft knock on the dressing room door. Signaling that it was okay to come inside, your eyes had met with a familiar and loving set of brown eyes that you hadn't seen in forever.
"Tom!" You shouted, practically jumping into his arms. Six months away from him was something that you never wanted to go through again. Maybe you could deal with two or three months, but never six. Facetime calls and emails didn't cut it. As soon as your lips touched his, you could practically feel your nerves fade away.
"Oh, how I've missed you, y/n," Tom whispered against your forehead, placing a kiss there immediately after. His hands moved from your waist to the sides of your face, staring into your eyes. "I tried as hard as I could to remember that I was coming back to you, and now we're here! You look amazing and I am so excited to see my baby be amazing in the movie!"
Your heart melted at his words, missing his voice. Both of your little moments were cut short when you noticed four other figures standing in the doorway. Making sure you weren't seeing things, you recognized the faces of Harry, Paddy, Sam, and Nikki. Your smile instantly grew, missing them all too. They were some of the biggest supporters in your life, besides your family. Though they technically were your family. The five all enclosed you into one big hug, finally having Tom to complete the big hug.
"Should we go out now, my love?" Tom asked, looking out of the door to see the flashing cameras and fan's excited squeals. You nodded, smiling as he put his hand into yours.

You finally had gotten your hands on one of Tom's sweatshirts, missing his signature cologne and the comfiness of the material. His arms were wrapped around you, holding you as close as he could. The movie was a success, enjoying every minute of the finished product with your favourite people in the world; you somehow even managed to get some movie theatre type food into the movie. After it was all over, you had all gone back to your hotels, Tom following you back to yours, which happened to only be a few minutes from his family's.
"y/n? I was going to tell you this later but," Tom paused, looking into your eyes again. You had absolutely missed simply being in his arms. "I don't have anything major booked for a few months. Meaning, I get to make up for lost time with you."
You smiled up at him, elated by the fact that he was going to be with you instead of thousands of miles away. He loved you, and you loved him, how much better could it get?
