Field Trip: Sequel
(Recap: Flash gives Peter a black eye, Avengers find out, they get mad, now Peter and the rest of the school is going on a 'mystery' field trip to Stark tower. This is gonna be so much fun...for them, not Peter. And defiantly not Flash. *maniacal laughter*)
"This is going to be so awesome!" Ned fangirled next to me on the bus. "I mean, I know you've been there and have probably seen way cooler things, because you're an awesome super hero, I mean mostly in Queens except for when you went to Germany and stole Captain America's shield, but still I mean..."
Peter tuned out Ned's ramblings. Instead he was freaking out. Lots of people at Stark tower knew him and could recognize him. When he wasn't at the compound, he was at the tower. And he was only at the compound half the time. He had premium access that only Avengers and Ms. Potts had. At least I know that Mr. Stark and the rest of the Avengers will be at the compound, he reasoned to himself, calming down a bit. He only had Pepper to worry about, seeing as she mothered him and ruffled his hair whenever he saw her. He didn't mind it, Ms. Potts was really nice.
The bus came to a stop and Peter looked up, surprised they had gotten there already. He had been spacing off too much. The teacher herded all righty students off the bus and the rest of the sophomore class (a/n I know that Peter is now older in the movies but I want him to stay my baby so he's 15) got off of the other two buses. They were split into groups of five. Thankfully the teachers had been paying attention to who they interacted with the most in our classes, so Ned was in Peter's group. Unfortunately, he was the only person Peter was friends with. So when Flash and three of his friends ended up in his group, he was severely disappointed in himself for not socializing more.
They all entered the tower together only to be stopped by a kind looking woman that I recognized as Happy's second in command for security, Agent Bery. Tony had insisted every call her that, obviously. She started with a few strict rule that I already had memorized, though most didn't apply to me any more.
"And you'll all get badges for the doors to scan to see if you are allowed in certain places. You will be getting the lowest numbers, Omega 10's," she said and gestured to a four metal detectors where attendants were waiting to scan students and hand out badges. "And don't even try sneaking back in with them. They expire in ten hours."
A kid raised their hand, which Bery reluctantly pointed to. "What's the highest access?" They shouted.
Bery looked at them, bored. "Alpha 1's. But they are reserved for very important people like the Avengers and Pepper Potts. Anything else?"
There were a few more questions, but Peter mostly ignored them, instead freaking out internally. He had an Alpha 1 badge in his pocket. As soon as he scanned it, everyone would know. Or worse, FRIDAY would welcome him back as she normally did.
Ned nudged him in awe. "Do you have one of those?"
"Yes," the web slinger admitted quietly. "Don't tell anyone!"
Ned just kept whispering, "Awesome, so awesome."
They all surged forward, eager to get their passes. Peter stayed near the back, not excited to have his high admittance revealed. That didn't last long. He was soon pushed to the front and the helper asked for his name. After a hesitant second he told her. The woman blinked and looked at him with a new light.
"Oh my God," she mumbled, then cleared her throat nervously and spoke up. "I assume you still have your badge?"
I nodded. She gestured towards the metal detector and I was about to go through until I remembered the web shooters on my wrists. Can't take them off now, everyone will see! He was panicking internally before a disembodied voice rang out above them.
"That won't be necessary. Mr. Stark has told me to inform you that Peter may have entrance without the security check."
"To-Tony Stark said that?" she stumbled. Everyone had gone quiet and looked at him in alarm.
"Yes. Welcome back, Peter."
Peter groaned quietly and sighed in relief at the same time. People gave him sideways glances and started to whisper. Flash on the other hand was fuming, he was sure it was a trick.
"How did you do that, Parker?" He asked angrily.
Before anyone could answer, they were being ushered away and into a bunch of different rooms and labs. No one noticed the archer in the vents, crawling around and watching everything, bow at the ready. Clint had already been tempted multiple times. Flash just wouldn't stop being a pain, though Peter ignored him and talked to Ned most of the time.
When they converged all the groups so that the students could eat lunch. It was being provided for free by the staff kitchen. They had cleared out a large room on the second floor so the students could eat. The food tasted infinitely better then the food in the school cafeteria, so Peter was glad that he hadn't brought home lunch. Of course he had eaten there before, but he was normally having pizza on the Avengers floor at this time.
While they were gathered eating, the principal, Mr. Damalski, clapped his hands to get our attention. After a minute the excited chatter dialed down enough for him to make an announcement.
"I have some very exciting news for you all. After lunch has ended at one thirty, esteemed scientist and engineer Tony Stark will be making an appearance along with a few other special guests to personally give a speech. I hope you all realize what an amazing opportunity this is for all of you and I advise for everyone to pay close attention to what he has to say."
Peter dropped his fork to the ground and looked at the man, mouth half open in shock. No, no, they couldn't be here. Why were they here? Ned looked at him in concern trying to hide his excitement while Flash looked on with a smirk, knowing that he finally had a chance to prove that Tony Stark had never heard of a Peter Parker in his life.

Hey people, are you seriously still reading this? Well I applaud you for getting to the end. The next part is going to be fun. *more maniacal laughter*
Anyway, I've read a few one shots like the one you currently are now, but they were so sort and I wanted to draw out Flash's suffering and Peter's embarrassment, so, yeah...
Oh well.
Have fun next chapter, web-heads.
