THE SUN VANISHED !
IMAGINE !
o. IDK WHAT THIS IS SO YEE . . .
━━ 🕸️ ━━
Shivers traveled up your spine, no sense of comfort occupying the air.
You were silently sat on the living room couch, too afraid and horrified to look past the curtains shielding the outdoor's view at you. Surely the satin curtains couldn't have been this good and were able to completely block out the sun. A heavy feeling fell on you as soon as you heard another loud rumble of noise shake the foundation of your home.
Your stomach churned when you realized Tom was supposed to be home an hour and a half ago. No matter how much you tried, the messages you attempted to send weren't going through.
Tom's little brother, Paddy, was peacefully catching sleep in your lap. Neither one of you wanted to know what was going on. It was well past five and the entire day was stripped of sunlight. However, you saw slightly-frequent bursts of light shining through the curtains. But you didn't dare peek through and see what was going on outside.
Thankfully, Harrison was with you when everything started to happen. The four of you had all planned to attend a car show later on but, of course, that wasn't happening now.
He carefully walked into the living room and sat down next to you. "I closed all the blinds and covered up any windows that didn't have curtains," he reassured, clamping a hand on your shoulder and comforting you as best as he could. You both were worried, to say the least, and you had no idea how to explain to Paddy what was going on. Moreover, you had no idea what was even going on.
Another burst of light shone through the curtains, this time, staying for a longer time than before. Eventually, it left. A series of frantic knocking on the door practically made you all jump out of your skin. Paddy's eyes shot open, quickly taking your hand and holding onto it tightly. Not even Tessa started to bark, which was highly unusual. You all sat there in interrupted silence, terror surging through your veins.
Even when you heard the voice attached to the sound, you were unsure of what to do. "y/n? Haz? Are you guys there?" Tom was on the other side of the door, fearing for his life. He didn't know what was going on, all he wanted was to be inside with you all. But you and Harrison were very hesitant, considering the tweets you had seen.
Harrison quietly stood up, slowly making his way towards the front door. You held onto his hand until he had gotten too far away from your place on the couch. "What did you get me for my birthday last year?"
A heavy sigh left Tom's lips. "That absolutely stupid set of joke pens."
Harrison quickly opened up the front door and pulled him in, making sure to shut it and make sure it was fully locked. He brought him into where you, Paddy, and Tess were sat.
As soon as he saw your stressed and fearful expression, he immediately ran over to you and engulfed you both in a warm hug. As soon as he released from your grip, you started to whisper. "Where have you been? We were so worried about you, Tom."
"I know, but there was so much traffic, riots everywhere. I had to take the side roads." He explained, noticing that Paddy's hand was squeezing yours. His heart immediately broke seeing the vulnerable side of everyone. He sat down on the floor, petting Tessa as you and Harrison exchanged knowing gazes.
A familiar noise bounced around the room, making the windows and everything inside shake. Paddy scooted closer to you, practically engulfed in your arms.
The buzzing stopped, now replaced with another round of frantic knocking at the window. Tom opened his mouth to say something, and only a mere syllable made it out before Harrison clamped his hand over his mouth.
You quickly stood up, now carrying Paddy. Despite his age and through all the horror movies he had seen, the poor boy had never experienced fear like this whatsoever.
Harrison and Tom followed you up the stairs in the same frantic style, but quickly stopped as the knocking ceased and a voice slipped through the wooden door.
"The sun is back," was the simple sentence that sent shivers down your spines.

author's note
hey babes, I managed to finish this in like an hour or two and I'm thoroughly enjoying these horror-ish chapters.
If you haven't already and enjoy sci-fi stories and stuff like that, I seriously recommend the twitter page @thesunvanished ugh I love it. It's been proven to be fake + part of a story but it's soooo interesting omg.
Also don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the spring fling and you broke her chapters haha
