SPIDER-BOY!

IMAGINE !
o. YOU FINALLY MEET A CERTAIN
SPIDER-BOY . . .

━━ 🕸️ ━━

"I don't get why homework is a thing," you grumbled, twirling around in one of the vacant office chairs. "What're they gonna do if I don't do it? Arrest me?"

The man on the other side of the room tried to suppress his laugh as best as he could, attempting to be a role model for his daughter - but failing miserably. He gave the teenager a disappointed look before returning his attention to the book in front of him.

"Y/n, school is your number one priority here, whether you like it or not," your father explained, still keeping his attention on the abundance of paper. "But I have to agree with you on that one, homework sucks."

A bare syllable could slip out of your lips before two people burst into the room. One you knew, but the other you didn't recognize at all. He was about your age, had a mop of curly brown hair, and looked rather shy. It took you a moment to realize that he was the boy that Tony had been trying to track down for months.

"Bruce!" Tony's voice bounced off of the room's glass walls. His hand strongly clasped onto the shoulder of the teenage boy that stood next to him. "I have to attend a meeting real quick, so can you keep an eye on Peter? You can? Great, thank you, bye!"

When the door shut, you blinked a few times, unsure of what had just played out in the span of five seconds. As you brought your gaze over to Peter, you noticed that his eyes were already on you.

"Hi Peter. Take a seat anywhere, nothing fun going on today." Bruce shrugged, eyes darting back and forth between you and Peter. "Oh, right. Peter this is my daughter y/n, y/n this is Peter - the, uh, spider-guy."

Peter's expression twisted into both a cringe and embarrassed look when he heard your father's nickname.

"S-Spider-Man, actually, sir." He squeaked, twiddling his thumbs as he sat in a nearby chair. Your heartstrings were being tugged on, just about melting as you heard how sweet he was.

You silently sat in your own chair for a second before strolling over to your dad, laying a hand on his shoulder - something you often did when you were going to ask him a question.

Peter admired your features from afar, wondering how he had never heard of you before. Usually, most kids of well known adults were put out into the spotlight just like their parents, but that wasn't you.

Your parents didn't want you to be swarmed by cameras your whole life, so you had been homeschooled for quite sometime - and the attempts at convincing your father to let you go to an actual school was harder than you thought. Being the daughter of the infamous Bruce Banner was a bit overwhelming at times, but being the goddaughter of Tony Stark? Ten times worse. Not that you were complaining, though.

Peter believed that there was something different and special about you. Something intrigued him more than ever.

Upon getting your father's approval, you strolled over to where Peter was sat. "I'm assuming you haven't been given a tour of the tower yet?" You questioned, a bright smile appearing on your face. He slowly shook his head. "Wait, you're serious? No way! C'mon, spider-boy, I'll give you a tour!"

Peter hesitated for a second before following you out of the lab. He gave Bruce a little wave from the glass windows. A comfortable silence fell between the teenagers as they walked through an empty hallway. Peter desperately wanted to talk, but he was unsure of what to speak about.

"So, where do you go to school?" You questioned, turning around to face Peter.

"I, uh, Midtown. High," he tripped over his words, trying to pull himself together.

The two entered the kitchen in search of a small snack during the tour. You scavenged through the cabinets, only to see different flavors of poptarts invading them all. Of course.

Peter curiously looked around the room, noticing the wall filled with photo frames. Every photo showed y/n as a child and one of the superheroes. He was truly stunned, wondering what it would be like to be raised by actual superheroes. He continued to look st the frames, noticing how adorable the girl was.

You stood beside him, gazing over the wall too. "If you don't mind me asking, what's it like growing up with superheroes?"

"Insane," you laughed, pure music to Peter's ears. "We're one big family. Everyone seems so hardcore from the outside but they're really all sweethearts. Something new always happens every week. But I love them, you know?"

"I still remember that day. Tony made everyone stand outside on the windiest day ever for three hours. For pictures... that man is insane." A voice echoed from behind the teenagers.

You spun around, meeting the sight of one of the people you admired the most. "Bucky!" You squealed, running up to him. The super soldier quickly dropped his piece of toast on the counter, preparing for the teenager's hug.

"Hey kid, how's it going?" He questioned. The entirety of the Avengers acted like your older siblings - some more than others, of course.

"The usual. Could be better but still going." You sighed, letting go of Bucky. "I'm just giving a tour to the spider-boy."

Peter furrowed his eyebrows at your response, wondering why things were below better. Until he realized the situation. Y/n was homeschooled and had a very protective family. At that second, he made a vow to get to know her better - no matter how nervous he was around her.

"Shoot. Peter, Tony's waiting for us back at the lab." You noted, placing your phone back in your pocket. "I'll see you later Buck!"

The two of you both ran out of the kitchen, heading back to where the lab was.

"Hey y/n, you're pretty cool!" Peter exclaimed, causing you to stop where you were.

"You said what now?" You inquired, both unsure and giddy about what he had just said. You'd been surrounded by childish adults your entire life, and it was nice to finally have someone your age to talk to.

"I said you're pretty cool." Peter repeated, a grin spreading on his lips. A sense of confidence was creeping up on him. "We should seriously hang out. A lot. O-or like not a lot. I mean-"

"Peter stop," you laughed, beginning to walk to your destination. "We totally should hang out."

The two teenagers were met with a happy looking Bruce and Tony. "Hey y/n! I see you've met Peter already."

You nodded, a smile still growing by the second. "Yep. We took a short tour of the building before you practically summoned us back here."

Tony rolled his eyes, lightly patting Peter's shoulder. "Well, we should get going. See you guys later for dinner?"

"Only it involves a buffet!" Both you and your father exclaimed, laughing at Tony flipping you off.

"See you later, Spider-Boy!"
