LEAP OF FAITH !
IMAGINE !
o. PETER TRIES TO CONVINCE YOU TO TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH . . .

"This is getting a bit sketchy, Pete," you mumbled, securely holding onto your boyfriend's hand. The crinkle of leaves beneath your shoes echoed throughout the unexpected cool, summer air. The trail definitely seemed to be the one less taken. "I feel like this is the opening scene to one of those horror films we watch."
Peter chuckled, looking back at you with amusement-filled eyes. He paused in his place, pivoting so he was standing precisely in front of you.
His expression was painted with a mild shade of disappointment upon hearing the hesitation laced in your voice. " Y/n, I mean if you really doubted me, we can turn back and go home.." He trailed off. The tone in his voice made it clear that he knew what he was doing with his words.
Peter had found an alluring piece of landscape that he stumbled upon during one of his routine city-searches. Peter had been meaning to show you what he found, but school and the combination of both your responsibilities had been getting in the way.
Considering the amounts of attention homework and everything else in between had stolen away from your date nights, he wanted the day to be sentimental. He missed you, and you missed him.
You shook your head. A comfortable silence falling in between the two of you before taking the initiative and lightly pressing a kiss to his rose-colored cheek. "I trust you Spider-Man. As long as we don't stumble upon an eerie cabin in the woods, I think I'll be alright."
Peter playfully rolled his eyes, clasping your hand in his once again. Your little adventure had continued once again. The unkempt, brown tree branches that lined the path had begun to scratch your arm, yet leave nothing but scratches and indents on your skin.
Your mind had tuned out everything but Peter's soft song humming and the sound of water that was nearing closer with every step you took. The green leaves latched to the branches rustled with every gust of wind that exerted from the sky. The small opening at the end of the trail grew larger, the blue sky no longer being obscured by the trees.
Peter had slowed his pace down, eventually bringing the two of you to a stop. The view that was painted in front of you was utterly breathtaking. The two of you were stood on a small cliff, a small body of clear water not too far down.
"This is beautiful, Peter," you sighed, resting your head on his shoulder as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You were too far in a small trance to notice his arm slip out of your hands. "But what are w-"
Your thoughts were interrupted by Peter running past you, literally throwing himself off of the platform and into the water. An exaggerated sigh slipped out of your lips, carefully beginning to kneel down at the edge of the cliff and look down at the water swishing around Your heart stopped until the moment you saw Peter resurface with his head above water. There was no way that you were about to follow in his footsteps.
"Sweetheart, the water isn't that bad... Have a little faith!" He yelled, motioning for you to join him. You shook your head again, not having the guts - or even a swimsuit to change into - and you sure as hell weren't going to jump in with your good clothes on.
"I'll have faith when it doesn't involve jumping off a cliff!" You shouted back, holding onto the edge of the rock as tight as you could.
Peter lowered his eyebrows, giving you a small pout. There was no way you were getting out of this one.
"Your mom may or may not have stuck a swimsuit in your backpack before you left," Peter explained, steadily treading the water. "Plus you have extra clothes at my apartment."
You furrowed your eyebrows before retreating back to the place where your backpack was. Unzipping the small compartment, your eyes fell on the neatly folded swimsuit that was waiting for you.

"I was starting to feel more and more like a raisin in there" You admitted, carefully climbing out of the water. When the evening air came in contact with your body, shivers ran over your soft skin. It had definitely gotten colder while the two of you were goofing off in the water.
"Raisin or not, you're super cute," Peter gushed, wrapping one of the towels around your shoulders. He pulled the ends of it and held you in his arms for a second. "We should come here more often."
You nodded in agreement, looking up at Peter with total admiration in your eyes. "I love you." You mumbled.
"I love you too," Peter grinned. Although he wanted to be with you, he was beginning to get cold: he did give you the only towel that he brought along. "Now we should probably go before-"
Your head snapped at the sound of the branches rustling and breaking. The grip that you had on Peter's arm slightly tightened, extremely nervous about whatever was nearing the two of you.
Peter stifled a laugh, watching as you began to go through a long thought process.
"I'm sorry. There was a chance and I had to take it." He pulled a single branch from behind his back, leaves still on the ends and broken in half.
You punched his arm, not enjoying the little joke he had put on. "So not funny." You mumbled, slipping on the old clothes that you had on from before. The lingering of fear was still there, but a smile was plastered on your face.
