"Keep your eyes on the road or so help me, Peter!" you exclaim, gripping onto the seatbelt as if it was your last hope - and in a way, it was. Your boyfriend wasn't the best driver in the world, but not the absolute worst.

Peter rolls his eyes at your overreaction. His car was barely moving above five miles an hour and yet you still acted as if he was exceeding the speed limit. Traffic in Queens during rush hour was unbearable, and you both usually had to plan ahead. This time, easy sailing wasn't necessarily an option.

"(y/n), babe, we're barely moving," he delicately places his hand on top of yours. A small smile creeps on your face, realizing that every car was completely still. "On another note, that reminds me of Monsters Inc! You know, put that thing back where it came from or so help me?"

    A laugh slips past your lips as you nod. "You really know how to make a conversation interesting, don't you?" You tease, leaning over the console to press a kiss to his cheek.

    "Hey, you've tolerated my jokes for two years!" He throws his hands up in defense, but his expression quickly softens when a sense of realization hits him. "Next week is three years..."

    Your smile fades for a split second before a grin appears. "Wow, three years with the cutest boy around. That's crazy." You think out loud, gaze still fixated on the sea of red taillights in front of you.

    Peter moved his eyes to you, admiring the way the red lights reflected in the whites of your eyes. His heart completely belonged to you, and yours to him.

    During one of your family's summer hangouts, Peter had suffered a complete adrenaline rush. Without that little spark from a can of soda, he probably wouldn't have admitted his feelings for you.

    Your relationship was so sentimental. He'd send you good morning texts, you'd video call each other until the two of you fell asleep, and he'd never dare to forget your birthday.

It was a relationship that most people longed for, and it was completely special to you. It meant the world to you, moreover, Peter meant the world to you.

"I've got a few tricks up my sleeve," Peter grins, bringing his attention back to the road as the traffic was beginning to clear. One hand was still on-top of yours, the other comfortably placed on the steering wheel.

You furrow your eyebrows, remeniscing of Peter's surprise last year. Sure, it was sentimental, but not that - exciting, per-say. "Mhm, gonna take me to the library and force me to read your favorite books again?"

    Peter rolls his eyes once again. "It wasn't my fault that it was raining!" You laugh, playing with the rings on his hands. Ever since you had expressed your extreme adoration for people wearing plain rings, Peter had been wearing them ever since.

    "Besides, that date that I planned last year is being put into play as we speak!" He grins as the stoplights flick to green.

    You advert your gaze from the people littering the sidewalks to your boyfriend, who just gives you a cheeky smile. "What's that supposed to mean?!"

    "Happy anniversary (y/n)!" Peter exclaims as soon as you open your apartment door. Your parents watch from behind the hallway wall, adoring the sight of everyone's favorite couple.

    You thank him with a small peck on the lips, taking the bouquet of (y/f/c) roses from his hands and carefully placing them into a nearby vase of water. You always had one setup on special occasions, considering that Peter always bought you flowers.

    Peter wraps his arms around your waist, bringing you in for a warm and long awaited hug. "I love you to the moon and back," You quietly mumble into his shoulder, still managing to make a blush rush to his face.

    "I love you even more," he presses a soft kiss to your forehead before intertwining your fingers together and leading you to the apartment hallway. "We've got places to be and things to see, babe!"
