A Slave
"Why did Fury want us here?" Tony said messing around with his tie. He looked around the shining mansion foyer, ready to call on his suit at any moment.
SHIELD had discovered a criminal meet up or whatever was happening at the mansion. Nick Fury then sent in Tony and Natasha to figure out what the criminals were doing. And by the looks of everything around them, this seemed to be an auction. But the question was, what was the auction for?
"Now, ladies and gentlemen, here is the prized possession you all came here for, but only one of you will get," a woman said on the stage, with swept up black hair and dark midnight eyes, wearing the same colored dress. She pulled the sheet off a box, revealing a glass chamber where a teenager stood. "This is Peter, and he has been groomed to fit any need of his master, and that master can be you.
"Peter has been specially implanted with the abilities that mimic a spiders. He can stick to anything, has heightened senses, super strength, can shoot webs from his wrists, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
"Peter will do anything you want him to, and he knows what will happen if he doesn't. So, why not get yourself a fifteen year old that can do absolutely anything you want him to do," The lady said into a mike.
The teenager, Peter, stood staring at the ground. He had brown curls that looked like they only just got cleaned, with empty for brown eyes. He thin for a human being, and his clothes just hung off his frame. He wasn't smiling or frowning, just standing there, awaiting his fate.
The bidding started, and Natasha forced Tony to get the kid. She explained that with Peter's powers, these criminals could do anything they wanted, and SHIELD would not be happy about that. So, Tony won the auction and got custody of a teenage boy with spider powers.

"After a full analysis of the child, he is staying with Avengers under a sort of house arrest. He is unfit to take care of himself, and his powers could make him a threat to SHIELD," Fury said pointing at the boy in the other room that just stared at Maria Hill as she tried to talk to Peter.
"Do you know what happened to him?" Steve asked quietly, knowing that blank state more than he wanted.
"Honestly? Not exactly. We know he's been subjected to different torture methods, using that to program him into something that's barely alive. He rarely got fed, which is bad because we learned he has an increased metabolism," Fury said with a shrug. "And we know that he's only going to do what Tony commands him to do until we can figure out how to bring him back. And as much as I don't want to say this, you cannot hurt or make Tony angry. We discovered that sets off a set of commands in his head that makes him violent."
"Are you seriously telling me a teenage boy is going to do whatever I say? Are you telling me that I have a slave in this time and age?" Tony said shaking his head as he grasped the weirdness of the situation.
"Did you not understand a word I just said?" Nick said shaking his head as he turned back to the teenager. Maria was sitting in front of him, trying to get him to eat a piece of bread. Peter didn't do anything.
Tony stood up, walking into the room Peter and Maria was in. Maria looked at him as Tony took the piece of bread, and sitting in front of Peter. "Hey, Kid, my name is Tony, I'm the guy that got you from that mean place. But now you're safe with me, I'm not gonna do anything bad to you. But you see this? This is bread, and I'm gonna need you to eat it."
Peter took the piece of bread, nibbling at it's edges. After a few bites, Peter couldn't eat any more of it. Tony smiled at Peter, even though the other Avengers were confused at how parental he was being, "That's good, kid. Now, let's go home."

"So, this is home. You're going to be staying here for awhile, just until we can figure out how to make you think for yourself," Tony smiled helping Peter out of the car.
Peter didn't look at it, instead staring at the ground like he was trained to do. Peter just fell into step behind Tony, hands behind his back awaiting further instructions. When none were given to him, he just followed his master to the elevator.
"The people here, the Avengers, they are super human in one sense or another. And they want to help you, but if they become overbearing, just tell me, okay?" Tony said making hand gestures. Peter nodded slowly, taking this as a command, even though it still confused him. Why would anyone care about how he was feeling?
Tony smiled, walking into the dining room where the Avengers were already at, setting up Peter's first meal with them. The Avengers stopped what they were doing to look at Peter, who still had his head hung low and hands pinned behind his back.
"Come on in, Peter," Tony said softly, stepping to the side to let Peter take a small, shaky step into the room, his form never changing. Tony sighed, gesturing for the Avengers to just continue doing their tasks. After they did that, everyone took their seats, eating and talking. But their was one open seat, with Peter standing way behind it, doing nothing.
"Come seat, Peter, I want you to eat something," Tony smiled at Peter, hitting the seat a little. Peter slowly walked forwards, sitting in the seat slowly as if it was a trap. Tony smiled widely at Peter, before Peter looked down quickly at his hands.
"Do you know how to eat this?" Tony asked pointing towards the plate in front of Peter. They were having breakfast for dinner so it was pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Peter looked up slightly at the food, trying to figure out what it was.
"I'll take that as a no," Tony laughed quietly seeing the confused look in Peter's eyes. Tony grabbed Peter's fork, cutting off a piece of the pancake before grabbing Peter's hand. Tony wrapped Peter's hand around the fork, showing him how to hold it before bringing it too Peter, who took a small bite. Tony laughed when Peter's eyes went huge, tasting a pancake for the first time. "It's called a pancake, do you like it?"
Peter looked at Tony confused, swallowing the little piece before setting the fork down. Peter didn't look at Tony when he talked, "Do you want me to like it?"
"That doesn't matter, Peter. What matters is if you like it. I want you to tell me, and if you don't like it, you can tell me," Tony said with a smile, trying to hold in a sigh as he realized how hard getting Peter to act human again was going to be.
"I... like it," Peter said softly, still wondering why someone cared about what he liked or didn't like. Usually he just had some weird drink for his meals, if he even got them.
But Tony just smiled, letting Peter eat the rest of his food while he ate his. The two basically ignored the Avengers who were gaping at the situation.
To be continued...
