Chapter 4

After Peter went home, I sat in bed and thought about the way his eyes sparkled, the way he made out with me, the way he smiled and the room would light up. He was perfect. I played the kiss over in my head. The way it felt. The way it meant something to me. I wanted to be with him 24/7 but my parents would kill me if they found out about Peter being my boyfriend. He was sweet. I wanted to kiss him forever.

I picked up my phone and looked at his picture. I set it as my screen saver and stared at it for a while. I wanted him to be here with me. I gave it a long hard thought and invited him over for date tomorrow at my house, in my room. Not much of a date but at least we'll be together.

I waited silently in my room for Peter. For what felt like an eternity, Peter came and knocked on my window. I mouthed out its open. He opened it up and jumped in. I walked over to him and put my arms around his neck. He spun me around and we fell on to my chair. He leaned up to kiss me and I shut my eyes. His kiss made me tingle. "Hi spiderboy," I said with my nose touching his and my lips lightly touching his. He laughed slightly and kissed me again.

I pulled away and got off for on top of him. I grabbed my phone and went to my music. "You have to listen to this song," I said quietly. "It's country but it reminds me of you and me," I turned it on. The song was "Like Jesus Does" by Eric Church. I heard the lyrics as the came on and mouthed the words," I'm a long-gone Waylon song on vinyl,

I'm a back row sinner at a tent revival,

But she believes in me like she believes her Bible,

And loves me like Jesus does.

I'm a lead foot leaning on a souped-up Chevy,

I'm a good old boy, drinking whiskey and rye on the levee,

But she carries me when my sins make me heavy,

And loves me like Jesus does.

All the crazy in my dreams,

Both my broken wings,

Every single piece of everything I am,

Yeah, she knows the man I ain't,

She forgives me when I can't,

The devil, man, no, he don't stand a chance,

'Cause she loves me like Jesus does.

I always thought she'd give up on me one day,

Wash her hands of me, leave me staring down some runway,

But I thank God each night, and twice on Sunday,

That she loves me like Jesus does.

All the crazy in my dreams,

And both my broken wings,

Every single piece of who I am,

Yeah, she knows the man I ain't,

She forgives me when I can't,

And the devil, man, no, he don't have a prayer,

'Cause she loves me like Jesus does.

Yes, she knows the man I ain't,

She forgives me when I can't,

That devil, man, he don't stand a chance

She loves me like Jesus does.

I'm a long-gone Waylon song on vinyl."

He paused it at the end and said," I love it." He was so soft spoken sometimes. I laid down beside him and whispered in his ear," I knew you would." He looked at me and said," I really like kissing you." I nodded. "I like kissing you too. It's like electricity when we touch," His eye widened. "You feel that too?" I nodded and hugged his neck. "I love you Peter!" I exclaimed.

Peter kissed my lips lightly. He kept kissing me and I know the reason; he likes kissing me. Was I that good of a kisser? I was running out of breath but we kept kissing until I pulled away. I kissed his cheek and put my phone back. He got up too and I wondered what he was thinking. His hair looked so perfect. He had his glasses on. His jacket was on and his hands were in his pockets.

"Peter?" I asked. He turned towards me. "You hear trouble, don't you?" He nodded and said," I don't want to leave you here but you have to stay here. The city is in danger. Ill be back." He threw off his jacket. The suit was underneath. He grabbed his gloves, shoes, and mask out of his backpack and put them on. He jumped out of my room and yelled," Don't let your parents see my stuff!" I nodded and he left as fast as light.
