[ Liberty Island ]

"—PETER! YOU NEED TO STOP THEM!" Strange was still trying his best to keep the Multiverse at bay. "SHUT THE DEVICE DOWN!"

"I'm on it!" Peter (Tom) turned around, getting in-between Peter (Tobey) and Peter (Andrew), and jumping off the platform. He began swinging to the top, trying his best to get there as quickly as possible.

"Kid! Where are you going?!" Peter (Tobey) questioned, as they continued to watch the villains from below.

"We need to shut that portal down!"

Peter (Tom) ignored any more calls from his allies and made it to the top from behind. Waiting for him at the top was Electro and the Goblin, joyful at his appearance. Octavius and the Sandman were neutral, while the Lizard was assessing the situation.

"Parker! Such a blessing for you to join us today!" Osborn proclaimed, showing off his suit. "Like it?"

"Shut the device down!" Peter (Tom) looked at Octavius. "Please, shut it down!"

"Can't you see, Peter?" Electro began hovering with sparks coming off his body. "Look at all the infinite possibilities."

Electro shot a powerful blast of electricity at Peter (Tom), which he did his best to dodge. The Sandman then got a mean punch on Peter (Tom), that sent him flying off the platform. Getting on his glider, Osborn followed the falling Peter (Tom) and grabbed him by his back mid-air.

"Look! This is what you did, Parker!" Osborn showed the Multiversal fractures in the atmosphere. "Without you—breaking us out of that prison—this wouldn't have been possible. But it is! All thanks to you!"

"..." Peter (Tom) muttered, "I'll stop you... I'll stop all of you."

"Oh, wouldn't you like th—!"

—A web stuck to Osborn's back that pulled him off the glider.

Peter (Tom) held onto the glider, until he realized it had an automatic flight mode. It returned back to its owner, as he leaped back to the safety of the statue. The Lizard, Electro, and Green Goblin regrouped, facing off at the waist of Liberty.

"You need to wait for us," Peter (Tobey) said from above, as he crawled near Peter (Tom). "You're not taking all five of them alone."

Peter (Tom) put on his mask and got full grip of himself. Electro and the Green Goblin hovered in front of them, while the Lizard was coming from above. Peter (Andrew) landed near, fully regrouping the three Spider-Men.

"So—!" Peter (Andrew) called to them, "What's the pla—?!"

—Suddenly, he was swept away by the Green Goblin.

The Lizard got near enough which triggered a brawl with Spider-Man (Tobey). Peter (Tom) jumped to Electro before he could get any electricity off. They dragged one another going down, both trying to beat the hell out of one another as they neared the ground.

Just before they struck the ground, Peter (Tom) swung away while Electro teleported away. They faced one another, ready to continue their fight.

"As much as I love to keep this up, I got something to do." Peter (Tom) shot a web above them, and pulled away before a bolt of electricity connected with him.

"You're not getting away from me!" Electro stated, shooting sparks of electricity at him.

"Any one of you guys got a plan?!" Peter (Tom) desperately fished for a reply, attacking and retreating from Electro's deadly assault.

Peter (Tobey) then got on the earpiece.

"I think it's bes—AH!" A piece of metal had struck him followed by the Lizard's roar. "Best if we regroup, don't you think?!"

"Little Gobby here isn't letting go!" Peter (Andrew) added.

"Meet you in one, then!" Peter (Tom) acknowledged.

Electro was resilient—he wasn't going to let go of this opportunity to kill Peter Parker (Tom) then and there. Teleporting with ease, it was only a matter of time until he caught up. Being as agile as he is, Peter (Tom) kept on going through small spaces while Electro put some distance between them.

Noticing an opening, Peter (Tom) took it. Jumping to the open area, Electro began shooting large bolts that destroyed some scaffolding on the way up. Peter (Tom) knew he had to do something.

—And quick.

"E.D.I.T.H, please tell me you installed the net!" Peter (Tom) told the AI.

"The net was installed for that—"

He didn't need to hear the rest.

Peter (Tom) shot web tripwires on his way up that Electro didn't see coming. He got caught in it one after another, until he came to a full stop. He was about to teleport, until Peter (Tom) had something else up his sleeve.

A entire net unfolded off his back and fell to Electro—a net that looked like it was supposed to be for fishes. When it trapped him, it instantly began taking in electricity which hurt him more than anything. It was constantly absorbing his powers—almost making it feel like he was drowning.

—With that, he kept Electro at bay for now.

Taking a huge jump, Peter (Tom) saw his counterparts going to the same location as all three of them landed near one another.

"Stuck the landing." Peter (Andrew) noted, standing back up.

"What's the play?" Peter (Tobey) asked, lightly hitting Peter (Tom) on the shoulder. "That device's about to unleash a whole lot of problems any second if your magic friend won't be able to keep up."

Peter (Tom), after scanning the area, returned to them.

"Alright, you deal with Octavius and find a way to shut that device down." He then pointed to Peter (Andrew), "You and I will draw them away from the device—at all costs. We need to buy them enough time to get rid of it."

"Why me?" Peter (Tobey) inquired.

"He's from your universe, right? You're our best bet at helping him turn." Peter (Tom) answered. "And once you get to him, I need you to find a way to get rid of those fractures and relay it to us."

"Um, guys—" Peter (Andrew) tried to start.

"Wait," Peter (Tom) went back to Peter (Tobey), "We need those solutions quick. Once we're done with finding a solution, we need to execute it—together."

"Guys!" Peter (Andrew) raised his voice and got their attention.

"What?" They both responded.

"I think they're done with their team huddle." Peter (Andrew) pointed to their front.

"That's..." Peter (Tobey) paused.

"A lot, huh?" Peter (Tom) finished.

"You want to have a crack at it?" Peter (Andrew) unknowingly joked, as the villains were now readying their attack. "Bad time, huh?"

"You ready?" Peter (Tom) asked, even if he already knew the answer.

Peter (Tobey) chuckled, "Long way from bridges."

The Spider-Men ran at full speed, fully prepared to meet their villains halfway. Electro charged himself up. Sandman wounded up for a deadly punch. The Lizard got ready for a warm tackle.

—It was a battle for their lives.

Peter (Tom) bounced off the debris that Sandman created and launched sideways to catch the Lizard. Peter (Andrew) took on Electro, while Peter (Tobey) had the pleasure of dealing with the Sandman while climbing up the statue of Liberty.

Sand was flying everywhere as Peter (Tobey) ascended to where he needed to be. He dodged every punch that the Sandman was throwing at him—too slow to even catch up. After successfully getting away, Peter (Andrew) took the challenge of fighting against Electro and Sandman.

Landing on the side of Liberty's head, Peter (Tobey) got into view of Octavius—still making sure the device was running. He got into view of the scientist, who was now paying attention to him. He threw his mechanical arms at him, trying to throw him off. Peter (Tobey) kept balance, still trying to convince the man.

Even if it wasn't going to work, he still had to try.

He owed him that much.

"Doc! I know you're still in there! What happened to you?! I thought these days were over!" Peter (Tobey) reasoned, keeping the arms away. "You need to stop the device!"

"Quiet, Parker!" Octavius said with such a weak voice, not even being sure of himself. "I'm giving you a chance to survive this—take it!"

"I'm not doing it without you!" Peter (Tobey) pushed him far enough that he got a good view of the device.

It was exactly what they suspected—a canister. There were pipes that extended all around, continuing to pump Peter's (Tom) blood. However, this device was something much more than normal. With Mysterio's input, the device turned into a supernatural one that only something of its caliber could solve.

Peter (Tobey) came to that conclusion as Octavius reeled him away, continuing to check the device's stability. He continued to battle the arms, but with a newfound knowledge that it was near impossible to stop the device. At this point, they might as well have lost.

—But there has to be a way.

"I just got something on the device!" Peter (Tobey) informed on the earpiece.

"Anything good?" Peter (Tom) was the only one to answer.

"It's going to be hard... there's nothing that stops the device! Once it's on, it's on..." Peter (Tobey) explained, manoeuvring around. "It's also Mysterio-fied! I don't know if I have a solution for it!"

"So we need to combine weird with weird?!"

"Any bright ideas?!"

"How are we going to contain that? If the device can't be stopped and has something supernatural about it, then we have to enclose it into something." Peter (Tom) thought, not coming up with anything. "How are we going to find that now? By the time we find one, the entire Multiverse would have opened. There isn't—"

—He stopped talking at the sudden realization.

"You mind telling us what you have in mind?" Peter (Tobey) guessed, grunting as one of the mechanical arms slammed him to the ground.

"Stay there with Octavius and keep him busy! I'll be there in a second!"

"Hurry up then!"

"I wish I could!"

...

"If you have a solution for Electro, then that would be really appreciated right now!" Peter (Tom) irritatingly spoke, swinging widely around.

Peter (Tom) began slowing and dropping down to the level of Strange—who was still holding the spell as best as he could. He hadn't been interrupted by anything, as his cape had done most of the defending. It was obvious that he was struggling and wouldn't be able to hold it any longer.

Getting out of Electro's view, Sandman then furiously swung at the Spider-Man (Tom), almost knocking him down to the ground. Luckily, he dodged masterfully as he neared the master of the Mystic Arts. He passed by Peter (Andrew), who was battling Lizard and now Electro.

Peter (Tom) got to the platform from where they were before, with Strange shaking to keep the spell together. Not trying to be too much of a bother, Peter (Tom) got on front of him and waved his hand.

"U—uh, Mr. Strange?" Peter (Tom) started calmly.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT, PARKER?!" Strange gritted his teeth, feeling the pain in his mind to keep the Multiversal forces from entering.

"Do you remember the thing we were fighting for—"

"CUT TO THE CHASE, GODDAMIT!l

"I need the box, sir! The one you chased after me for!" Peter (Tom) requested, as the sorcerer hurtingly scoffed with how much he was enduring; and was still being asked to help.

"Y—YOU BETTER GET RID OF THAT DAMN DEVICE!"

A portal appeared on top of Peter (Tom) that dropped the box in front of him. It was void of colour, implying that it was not of use at that moment.

"I'm on the way!" Peter (Tom) informed to the earpiece, as he shot a web to a ledge.

Looking up, the mix of sand and lightning made it hard to see through it—but he was going to get through it all. He started to jump from point to point, avoiding the flying rubble and moving ever so closer to the device.

As he moved his way around, he almost got knocked out of the way by lightning that was meant for Peter (Andrew). Sandman wasn't also giving in, focusing his attention on Peter (Tom) and Peter (Andrew), letting Octavius deal with the other one.

Fortunately, Peter (Andrew) saw the situation and granted full passageway for Peter (Tom). Garnering the attention of the two supervillains, he jumped across the tight squeezes where they couldn't get through.

Through his lenses, he could see Octavius and Peter (Tobey) still fighting at the very top. It was so near—they were so near from saving the entire universe. There was only a few moments before everything would have been solved.

—Until a giant tail got in his way.

Peter (Tom) felt the brute force of a large object going across his way, as he dropped off Liberty. The Lizard watched as the Spider-Man (Tom) fell unconscious on the way down. To him, he had stopped the Spider-Men from destroying their plan for now.

...

Peter (Tobey) backflipped away, as Octavius' tentacles kept looming near him. He was finding trouble looking for an opening, as Octavius managed to multi-task him effectively. There was remorse and disgust in his eyes as he manipulated the device—telling of the situation at hand.

Still, the Multiversal fractures were being heavily featured around them, cracking every passing moment. It didn't look like Strange was going to be able to hold it for much longer. It was only a few minutes until the Multiverse explodes into this universe.

He tried harder now, dodging and powering his way through the tentacles. The mechanical figures were surprised, not being able to stand the brute force that he was exerting. They were able to make him bleed in his arms, but it felt like he didn't care.

Peter (Tobey) jumped in-between two tentacles and managed to get behind him—still not looking at where Peter (Tobey) was and leaving it to the tentacles' care. Peter (Tobey) still didn't want to engage, knowing that there was still hope for him.

"Otto! Listen to me!" Peter (Tobey) begged, still fending off the tentacles. "It's not late!"

"Quit it, Parker! You're wasting your time!" Octavius responded, moving buttons around on the machine.

"I—!"

—The inhibitor chip.

Peter (Tobey) saw the light coming from the back of Octavius' neck. The chip was still connected and had still not been removed. This was why Octavius is not the same from when he last saw him—the hero he was. This was the Octavius that still had conflicting feelings towards Spider-Man and was still being controlled.

Now knowing it, Peter (Tobey) jumped to Octavius back which triggered something in him. His entire became aggressive, now focusing less on the device and more so in fending off Spider-Man.

"You little—!" Octavius unleashed his tentacles' aggression on Spider-Man (Tobey), making full use of all four of them. "What do you think you're trying to do, Parker?!"

"I'm trying to save you, Otto! Can't you see it!" Peter (Tobey) stopped two tentacles coming at him by letting them hit one another. It wasn't a matter of outmuscling the tentacles now, it was now to outsmart them. "I can help you!"

"I don't need your help!" Octavius angrily flailed himself in all directions, trying to make his tentacles reach him. "DIE!"

Peter (Tobey) missed a tentacle and had to hold it with both hands, as another came in from below and swept him off his feet. His head collided with the hard surface of the head of Liberty, but he managed to stand sideways.

Octavius sent two tentacles at him, as he jumped sideways and ran along the head of Liberty. Managing to get around Octavius, he gathered momentum and jumped out behind, not noticing the fact that Spider-Man was already behind him. Shooting a web directly at the inhibitor chip, it stuck to it perfectly.

—But not as he expected.

He got swept mid-air by a glider. By instinct, he pulled hard as the inhibitor chip produced sparks while it came off. Octavius struggled to stand, signifying it had gone right.

But the situation he was in right now was much more treacherous than before. Right now, he was hanging off a glider as they got into unbelievable heights. Peter (Tobey) got over his fear of heights ever since he got the powers, but the heights they were reaching were enough to make Spider-Man scared.

"Here we meet again, Spider-Man!" Osborn proclaimed, as he was focusing their destination. "Destined rivals fated to—!"

Peter (Tobey) shot a web on his mouth as he got his gripping onto the glider. For a moment, Osborn slowed down which bought time for Peter (Tobey). He jumped above the glider and began falling, grabbing Osborn with him as they were now diving back to Liberty Island.

Back at the island, Octavius was dazed. He couldn't stand straight nor think. It was as if his mind went blank at an instant. Looking at his surroundings, it was almost baffling to see where he was. All the fighting and destruction, this was confusing for him.

He saw the device in front of him, dispersing the Multiversal fractures around him. This device was the reason it was causing so much chaos. But... how could he dispute it?

—This device was born from his very own hands.

Octavius held the device and instantly knew that if he were to destroy it with his tentacles, it would be the same as dropping an atomic bomb in New York. It was hard to explain, but with elements from the Quantum Realm, a device of that size was truly devastating.

But there was a solution. If he were to remove the Quantum Realm elements, then the explosion won't be as deadly. Large, yes, but not to the extent of destroying an entire city.

"I made this..." Octavius muttered, "Then I'll be the one to destroy it."

—Out of nowhere, voices from the Multiversal fractures echoed throughout the city.

"SPIDER-MAN! WHERE IS HE?!" Multiple voices repeated over and over, "KILL THE SPIDER! KILL HIM! A CANCER! WE WANT SPIDER-MAN!"

Octavius opened his mouth, not believing the capabilities of his device. Realizing that they were truly in dire need of help, Octavius got to work at dismantling the device.

"I will not be remembered as a murderer." Octavius spoke to himself; or more accurately, his tentacles. "I will be remembered as Otto Octavius!"

...

"AH!" Peter (Tom) screamed, getting his senses back and realizing where he was. He grabbed onto anything he could—which was a pole. Getting a grip of himself, he noticed he lost the most important thing—the box. "Whe—where... is it..."

He hadn't fell asleep for too long—as a matter of fact, it didn't seem like he was out for more than five seconds. Peter (Andrew) was still masterfully dealing with the other villains by himself. For Peter (Tobey) and Octavius, their fight looked like it had gone back. Peter (Tobey) was gone and Octavius was standing with the device all by himself.

Even the Multiversal fractures didn't look like it had gotten smaller; it was even bigger than he last recalled. Strange was surely reaching his limit. They had to do something about this if they wanted to keep the universe intact.

—Now, for that box...

Suddenly, he heard the shout of a woman above him. Poking her head out of scaffolding, MJ's face was in view.

"Peter!" MJ called, as Ned stood by her side.

"M—MJ!" Peter (Tom) gained his strength back and climbed back up to where they were. Hanging off the side of the building, they were just as confused as he was, "I thought you two were gone?"

"I—I wanted to help..." MJ bluntly said, the box in her hand.

"Th—that's the box." Peter (Tom) obliviously pointed it out.

"Is this thing important?"

"That's like the most important thing; and if it gets lost we're basically doomed." Peter (Tom) said casually, "So... yeah."

"I tried to tell her, Peter!" Ned imparted. "But she's too stubborn to listen."

"Actually..." Peter (Tom) thought, with the box in MJ's hands. "I have a plan."

"Don't tell me this is going where I think it's going."

"I think it's definitely going where you think it's going." MJ confidently said.

Peter (Tom) began giving out the plan. "We need that box on the top of Liberty. We're going to insert it into whatever device they had and hopefully it contains those weird purple things out there—if we're right?"

"So we as in Ned and I?"

"Uh... not exactly. I don't think it'd be safe for you two to put it in."

"So who's putting it in?"

"We're uh... we're still working on it."

Ned rolled his eyes, "That is the dumbe—"

MJ interrupted, "Sounds like a plan, huh."

"—And she's fine with it..." Ned threw his hands up in the air.

"Great." Peter (Tom) smiled, grabbing a device that came out of his wrist. Seeing the miniature object, MJ and Ned realized he had a spare web shooter in hand. He tossed it to MJ and nodded, "It only has a few charges. Emergencies only, alright?"

"Got it," MJ chuckled, wrapping it around her wrist. Much to her surprise, it was very light. "How are we going to get there without attracting their attention."

"I'll get their attention, don't worry about it." Peter (Tom) saw above him that Peter (Andrew) was now struggling to hold off the villains. "You two better get going—we need that device at the top as soon as possible."

"You stay safe, alright?" MJ made him promise, as she tapped Ned on the shoulder. "Come on, let's get going."

"I can't believe we're doing this," Ned sighed, running along with MJ as they moved their way along the scaffolding. "See you at the top, Peter!"

"Yeah, see you!"

Peter (Tom) watched as two of his most important people in his life were now doing a dangerous task in such a deadly environment. He didn't want it to be this way, but the fact that they were willing to go head-on into danger—he couldn't have asked more from the world.

"Those gu—"

Out of nowhere, a large hand grabbed him. Peter (Tom) screamed, as a huge sand face came into view and looked at him with annoyance.

"Oh, Marko! I almost forgot about you!"

...

Battling Electro and the Lizard, Peter (Andrew) was already worn out. He went through lightning shots and powerful punches; and yet he was still standing. While keeping the Lizard from climbing up to where Octavius was, Peter (Andrew) was trying to dodge Electro. He had also got on the plan with Peter (Tom), trying to keep MJ and Ned out of sight of the villains.

Seeing that they were almost at the top, Peter (Andrew) continued to draw their attention. He pulled Electro down, engaging him in a fist fight simultaneously with dodging the Lizard. He was getting burns and wounds all over, but as long as he—

"AH—!" MJ screamed, as she almost tripped off the ledge.

The two villains and Peter (Andrew) looked up to the noise, all having different ideas from it. There was only thing that was circulating in Peter's (Andrew) mind—he had to protect them.

Peter (Andrew) jumped off of Electro and tried to begin his swing, but the Lizard pulled him down and pinned him to the floor. With unbelievable speed, Electro started to teleport going to the teenagers' position.

"No, you don't—!" Peter (Andrew) tried to sneak past the Lizard, but he was still able to contain the Spider-Man. "Ah—!"

The Lizard threw a strong hard punch at Peter (Andrew) which kept him grounded for a moment. While he was recovering, the Lizard removed Spider-Man's (Andrew) mask and grabbed him with his tail. Lifting the bruised and wounded body of Peter Parker (Andrew), he smirked.

"Poor Peter Parker—!" The Lizard laughed, tightening his neck.

Peter (Andrew) struggled to keep himself together. Slowly, he was fainting out of existence. It seemed like he wasn't going to make it through—he was going to go unconscious.

"Con—nors, I—"

—Crashing into the middle of the scene, Osborn and Peter (Tobey) disrupted the Lizard's grip on Peter (Andrew).

Peter (Andrew) gasped for air as he dropped to the ground, holding his neck softly. The Lizard fell off the platform, but managed to stay on the scaffolding by grabbing onto the wood below. Osborn and Peter (Tobey) stayed on, getting up from their airborne battle.

"Thanks... for that, by the way." Peter (Andrew) shared, standing right back up. Realizing his mask had fell off the scaffolding, he now had to fight without it. "This the Goblin?"

"Yeah..." Peter (Tobey) said, grabbing his head from the collision. "That's Norman Osborn..."

"Osborn?" Peter (Andrew) got his fighting stance ready. "From where I'm from, he died of illness."

"Well, we're all different in some way." Peter (Tobey) stated, standing side by side with his counterpart. "Ready?"

"Go!"

Peter (Andrew) and Peter (Tobey) engaged with the Goblin, who seemed like he didn't see it coming. In reality, he was as prepared as they were. With one swift and heavy hook, Peter (Andrew) was sent to the side as Peter (Tobey) took his place in the fight.

Just like their battle years ago, it was a gruesome fight. It featured their fists, as they released their raw power. Peter (Tobey) was faulting. His engagement with Octavius affected him massively. His control faltered with how much the tentacles damaged him.

"Don't give up now, Spider-Man!" Osborn happily shouted, kicking Peter (Tobey) across the face. His foe fell to the ground, trying to pick himself up. "Are you really the enemy that I had the privilege of fighting? Pathetic!"

"Incoming!" Peter (Andrew) called out, jumping in with a kick on Osborn's chest.

He almost fell to the ground, but kept his footing true. Peter (Tobey) got a clean uppercut on Osborn, with Peter (Andrew) web-pulling Osborn to him to get a straight, powerful jab.

He fell off the platform—but only as he was pulled up by his glider. He hovered back onto the platform, looking at the two battered Spider-Men.

Over them, MJ and Ned were moving quickly to the top of Liberty. The battle had still been going on below, and they had successfully gotten through unnoticed. But they were very limited in time. The Multiversal fractures were almost touching one another, with voices continuing to echo.

Ned stayed right behind MJ as she carefully moved to the top. It was difficult with the flying sand in their face and trying to avoid the steel bars due to the electricity, but they managed to do it. Standing in the scaffolding beside the head, they had finally reached the top.

—Now what?

All that planning to get up there, and yet they didn't know how they would approach this. They didn't even know if Octavius was on their side now. All they knew was that the box was near the device, and Strange's job would soon be relieved. But with how it was going, everyone was going to have to hold on a little bit longer.

Suddenly, Electro appeared in front of them, sparkling bolts in his hands. He had a smile on his face, enjoying the view set upon his eyes.

"Let's have a little fun, shall w—?"

Peter (Tom) grabbed Electro from behind and tried to choke him out, turning him away from MJ and Ned. What he had forgotten was that Electro was surging with electricity, easily sending him back to the platform with a single shock. Peter (Tom) stood in front of MJ and Ned, shielding them from Electro.

"Would you look at that. Little spider protecting the ones he love." Electro boasted, smirking. "All you care for is yourself, huh? Let everyone suffer except for the ones you know. Life's funny."

"Hands off them, Dillon. Pick on someone your size—in this case, me." Peter (Tom) got into his stance, preparing for a battle.

"You haven't had enough of me, then?"

"We're getting started, Dillon. We're—"

The platform gave way, and MJ and Ned were near falling from their death. They couldn't exactly go backwards because the platform had gone sideways, so the only was going upwards. They held on tightly, waiting for the movement of Peter (Tom).

Peter (Tom) grunted, as he was once again in the hands of the Sandman. Seeing that he couldn't get out of his grip, he tried desperately to find any solution through his gears. Switching through web shooters modes, he couldn't get the right one.

Peter (Tobey) landed on the side of Liberty's head, not minding Octavius but MJ and Ned's status. They were threading on a very thin structure, and simple movement could bring the whole thing down. Even keeping it strung together with webs scared them due to the fact it could still collapse if one of the sides gets too overloaded with it.

"How do I get out of thing?!" Peter (Tom), enraged, was now shooting normal webs at the hand of Sandman which did nothing.

"Water!" Peter (Tobey) shouted from across him, "He'll give it up if it's water!"

"Water!" Peter (Tom) repeated, scrolling through his webs. "E.D.I.T.H, break my webs down! Turn the silk to water!"

"Proceeding!" The A.I. alerted.

After a second, his canisters dispersed a can of webs and inserted a can of fresh water into his shooters. Much like normal car wipers, it spread water through a single release. He began spraying it around the Sandman's hand, making minimal progress but progress nonetheless.

"Michelle!" Peter (Tobey) shouted, as the teenager was closer to the edge to him. "Jump! I'll catch you!"

"WHAT?! WHY WOULD I DO THAT?!" MJ reasoned, as one of her feet was dangling off the edge.

"MJ! Just do it!" Peter (Tom) encouraged, still dealing with the hand. "I need you to be safe!"

"I can't let go of the box!" She mentioned, still holding onto the sacred object.

"I'll catch you both then! Hurry up, we don't have enough time!" Peter (Tobey) reached his hand out. "C'mon, Michelle! I can—!"

"MJ!" Ned called out, as a figure appeared in front of them.

Osborn appeared on front of them, battered from his battle with the two Spider-Men, but still able enough to smile like a maniac. Carrying such a deranged expression, he flicked his head toward the direction of MJ and Ned, eyes filled with full intention and dedication that struck fear into Peter (Tom).

His cursed figure was planning something chaotic. It wasn't an observation—it was a fact. Grabbing something out of his bag, an orange object came out in his hand. There was glass on the top of it, reflecting a small light inside. MJ and Ned didn't have a clue what it was, but Peter (Tom) and Peter (Tobey) certainly did.

Peter (Tom) was now miserably, hopelessly, and dreadfully watching Osborn take out his iconic weapon as he struggled to get out of the grasp of the Sandman. The monster was gradually letting go of Peter (Tom) from his hand, but nowhere near as fast as Spider-Man needed it to be.

Peter (Tobey) was too shocked at what he was seeing that he fired the web too late. With one slash of the hand, Osborn got rid of the web from Peter (Tobey) and readied his swing. Directed towards the feeble structure, Osborn pressed a button on the orange figure. In seconds, it activated.

—The bomb was now in play.

In Peter's (Tom) eyes, MJ and Ned's eyes were nothing short of terrified. For them, their fates were flashing in their eyes. The pumpkin bomb was now blinking quickly, and Peter (Tom) was almost out. It was almost out, and Peter (Tom) could come into the rescue.

—Just a little bit more.

Only a bit more time.

If he had time...

He can save—

"—NED!" MJ screamed, as she was pushed off the platform by Ned.

The box went upwards, as MJ started to fall downwards. The pumpkin bomb was now in the air, going towards Ned who was alone on the platform. Closing his eyes, he had accepted the fate that had chosen him.

But Peter (Tom) had broken free, now standing on the solid floor that was Sandman's hand. He saw the bomb landed on the platform, just beside Ned. There was still time—it was still blinking. Jumping towards Ned—who now looked to Peter (Tom) as he heard his cries—began smiling at him. With that, Peter (Tom) knew he still had time.

He just knew—

—Ned.

Changing course, Peter (Tom) nosedived to the falling MJ, as debris were now falling on them with the explosion. Going through the destruction, MJ managed to put her left hand over her right wrist, aiming at Peter (Tom).

Peter (Tom) tried to shoot a web at MJ, but then realized his web shooters were still ejecting water. Putting his hands to the side, he gained speed as he got nearer to MJ.

—But not only was he getting closer to MJ, they were also getting closer to the ground.

Seeing what MJ was trying to do, Peter (Tom) assured her. "SHOOT IT!"

MJ shot a web towards Peter's (Tom) way, as he caught it elegantly and wrapped it just as rapidly. Pulling MJ towards him, he got hold of her and threw the web MJ shot at him towards a pole to the side. Using it as a swinging web, he brought her to the side of the scaffolding, putting her down.

Not minding what had just happened, Peter (Tom) began switching web shooters frantically. MJ leaned over the edge to spot Liberty's shoulder up in flames along with some of the scaffolding. Not noticing it, she already had tears coming down her eyes.

—Ned was gone.

Turning to Peter (Tom), she tried to call to him but it didn't work. He was too busy changing his equipment that she couldn't even get a glance from him. She couldn't read him at all, so she removed his mask to see what was happening him.

In all honesty, she should have expected it.

—Blood shot eyes, bruises on either cheek, and tears leaking out of his eyes with no change of emotion.

He was solemnly looking at her, trying to understand what they had just witnessed. He didn't want to believe it, so he had tried to ignore everything around her. However, his real feelings didn't let it get in the way of expressing what he was really feeling.

"Peter—!" MJ cried out, but he was only interested in changing the topic.

"Stay here..." Peter (Tom) muttered as he got the shooters in and sloped over the edge, "I'll finish it..."

"Peter! Listen to me!"

"Don't move, MJ." Peter (Tom) said, putting the mask back on.

She wasn't going to let him go.

Shoving him to make him look at her, he finally obliged but with the mask. She wasn't going to force him to take it off, but she wasn't going to let him go back without talking to her.

"I'm not, MJ. I'm not going to lose you too." Peter (Tom) promised once again, even after breaking one moments before. "So please... stay here."

"Don't go back, Peter. I don't want to just stand here and wait... and you don't come back. That will kill me more than you know."

"I can't, MJ. I'm no letting them get away with this." Peter (Tom), "It ends here."

"Wh—what are you going to do, Peter?"

"What they deserve." Peter (Tom) turned back to the edge, ready to jump off.

"DO WHAT, PETER?!" MJ pleaded, but by then, he had already gone off.

Peter (Tom) was going back into battle. God only knows what he will do, but there is one thing clear: he'll be going back as Peter Parker, and not as Spider-Man.

...

Peter (Tobey) almost fell off the platform entirely, but managed to stay on with a single hand. When the dust and smoke disappeared, Osborn was nowhere to be found. The scene had cleared, and it felt like he was the only one left. Only his thoughts were left with him.

—Until...

"PETER PARKER! WHERE IS HE! HE'S OURS!" The Multiversal fractures repeated constantly.

Peter (Tobey) then remembered—the box that was going to end this entire battle. Looking down, there was nothing that resembled the box in the rubble. He even saw Strange, who was now on his knees, still holding onto the spell. His cape had been battered, as it had scrimmaged with the villains beforehand. They needed to act now. But where was the—

Peter (Tobey) turned to look above him, and he was just as surprised as he was in his own universe. Standing on top of Liberty was Octavius—two tentacles working on the device while the other one was holding onto the box. This time, instead of continuing the process, he was delicately removing the wires that contained Peter's (Tom) own blood.

"O—Otto?!" Peter (Tobey) cried out, climbing onto the top. Octavius didn't attack him outright, bringing a sense of hope in him. "Is that you?"

"I miscalculated, Peter." Octavius grumbled, removing buttons and throwing them off the ledge. "These are mistakes—I'll take the burden of handling them."

"You're not alone in that." Peter (Tobey) walked beside him, "What can I do?"

"Take this." Without hesitation, Octavius threw the cube in the air and Peter (Tobey) webbed it to himself with ease, something the doctor had well expected. "I'm creating a space in the device for that box. If I'm correct, the supernatural elements will clash. Although I'm not too sure—I'm not a magician myself."

"It's alright, doctor. As long as we have plan, that's all right for us." Peter (Tobey) said, holding the box beside the device. "Do I just—"

"Don't put it in yet!" Octavius requested, placing a tentacle in front of him. "The connection would be sever—"

An electric shock blew in front of them, as lightning formed. They stopped working as they saw Electro hover with such a menacing aura. Even as they stared, the tentacles kept on working as they worked even closer to their goal.

"What do you think you're doing, huh?!" Electro was outraged, raising his hands up. "Why aren't you doing what you're supposed to do?!"

"Look around, Dillon! What we're doing is wrong! We're not getting what we want! All we're doing is just causing chaos—especially to people that haven't wronged us." Octavius reasoned, fully exposing the device but keeping his mouth shut.

"Who haven't wronged us? I could think of a million people, and the one you're standing beside is the most prominent!"

"You don't know what you're talking about!"

"No, I do..." Electro charged his hands even further.

Octavius tensed up, knowing that the Electro wasn't going to hold back anymore. Taking a step back, he gave Peter (Tobey) the floor.

"DO IT!" Octavius shouted, as he took a stance against Electro.

Peter (Tobey) put the box inside the device as another explosion happened. This time, runes expanded that touched the very surface of the Multiversal fractures. It had now stopped growing, and was threatening to shrink back.

Electro muttered, "You're not going to take this away from me."

"—OTTO!"

Peter (Tobey) dropped the device on the side of the head as he dodged the lightning bolt. Octavius wasn't so lucky.

Before Electro could get any further, he was pulled down by Peter (Andrew). Sticking him to the ground, Electro was pinned for a moment.

Peter (Tobey) was now hanging onto the side of the statue, one hand stuck to the head while the other had a web connected to Octavius' body to keep him from falling. The important thing was that the device was safe—laying on top of Liberty's head.

Peter (Andrew) was dealing with Electro. Shooting a dozen webs onto him, there was almost no chance of Electro getting out. Peter (Andrew) had him pinned and it was about to be one less worry to care about.

But—

}{ }{ }{ }{ }{

Peter (Tobey) flicked his head to the back of Peter (Andrew). Unknown to them, the Lizard had returned and was about to strike Peter (Andrew) off the platform. The worst part was that Peter (Andrew) was oblivious to it, still having Electro in his sight. Peter (Tobey) sensed this, knowing he was going to be taken out.

"NOOOOOOOO—!" Peter (Tobey) screamed, letting go of his hand off the head and letting his feet stay glued to it.

He fired a firm web at the Lizard, who was caught unaware of him. Before Connors could react, his fate had already been decided by Peter (Tobey). Tugging hard, Peter (Tobey) was the one who dropped the Lizard off the platform. Falling in front of Liberty, the Lizard fell into the abyss and rubble that laid below. Not being able to see him anymore, Peter (Tobey) whispered.

"Sorry, doctor..." He grunted as he kept balanced with Octavius' heavy frame weighing him down. Trying to move at that moment would spell their downfall.

To their side, Peter (Andrew) was stunned by the Lizard's fate that he didn't notice the Sandman coming in for a swing. Ripping into the platform, he absolutely demolished the scaffolding as Peter (Andrew) got in the way. The punch was perfectly placed that Electro got free of the web and was freely flying. Peter (Andrew) had more problems to deal with.

"Another round?" Electro pondered, staring right at Spider-Man.

"No more games, Dillon! I'm ending it," Peter (Andrew) stated, seeing Sandman flexed back for another strike.

Jumping as high as possible, Electro stayed still as he watched Peter (Andrew) fly over them. With the strongest display of strength he had ever performed, Spider-Man (Andrew) shot two webs at the Sandman's hand and pulled as hard as he could humanely could. The fist came flying into Electro's body and knocked him downwards. With the sudden transfer of energy, he shocked the Sandman's hand with the leftover solid sand that Peter (Tom) inflicted.

The three of them were heading towards the water, which none of them preferred. Seeing that Electro was trying to sneak out, Peter (Andrew) web-pulled himself to him and held him tightly. Even if he was being electrocuted to hell, he wasn't going to let go. As the three of them dived into the water, they all expected it to go how it was going to—a whole mount of pain.

—SPLASH.

...

Peter (Tobey) looked to the side as almost an entire wave of water washed into Liberty Island. The scaffolding shook a little, but not to the point where everything would go crashing in an instant. He was still able to hold onto Octavius and onto the statue.

—But it was hurting like hell.

Every time he glanced below, all he would see is the unconscious figure of Octavius—someone who had caused hell for him, Mary Jane, and Aunt May. However, this was a changed man. He had changed for the good.

That was all he could think of as he tried to hold on a little bit longer.

Slowly, it was getting much more evident that he was letting go. His hands were slipping from the blood that was coming out of his palm. It was getting loose, the web dropping thread by thread.

—But he wasn't going to give up.

Octavius never gave up in the dream he strived for.

Spider-Man (Andrew) has been fighting for a universe that isn't his, but has fought valiantly.

Spider-Man (Tom) has lost so many and more, and yet he has still willed himself to this position.

—And with that, the device was with him.

Peter (Tobey) has carried this symbol for so many years now—it wasn't time to give up. They've managed to reach it this far, there wasn't backing up now.

With a strand of breath, Peter (Tobey) pulled the hardest he had ever pulled.

"—AHHHHH!!!"

That scream alone caught the attention of everyone in the area. It was a cry of pain and struggle, but one that embodied perseverance and determination.

Spider-Man wasn't going to give up easily.

—But he could still be bothered.

The figure of the Green Goblin went up to where Peter (Tobey) was. On his glider, all he could do was laugh like a madman and watched as Spider-Man (Tobey) hopelessly kept Octavius pulled up like a string.

"Otto, you slime!" Osborn spat, going over to Spider-Man (Tobey). Smiling inches away from his destroyed mask and face, Osborn began to speak. "Always the same, Parker; and yet fate always keeps you—"

—In a blink of an eye, Osborn was tackled from behind by Peter (Tom), as they dive-bombed down the structure.

Taking a time to breath, Peter (Tobey) acknowledged what had just happened. It may have been the worst thing to happen. There was now fear in Peter's (Tobey).

"He's..." Peter (Tobey) mustered the strength to say it. "going to kill him..."

...

Peter (Tom) and Osborn landed on the same platform where Strange had fainted onto the ground. With the extraction of the Multiversal fractures, the tide was turning against the villains who had sacrificed so much to that point. But the war hadn't been over—Osborn was still alive and now facing Peter (Tom).

Spider-Man—the kid who had helped him break the others out of that supernatural prison and who was broken when he had first met him—had killing intent at this point. It was understandable—who wouldn't? But that made Osborn enjoy it even more.

Standing a few feet from one another, they were circling each other like animals waiting for the perfect opportunity. Osborn was ready to meet his fate at any time; but he still had to break the very thing that was Peter Parker (Tom).

"Who would've thought, Peter? After all this drama, it is the two of us that would be standing against each other in the end! Quite poetic!" Osborn declared madly, "You saw what we can do together. A shame that our goals didn't exactly... align."

"..." That killer look didn't waver.

"So, so, so naive!" Osborn took a step forward and Peter (Tom) almost jumped at then opportunity, but contained himself. "How shall we settle this, hm?! A fancy, old fist fight, or..."

}{ }{ }{ }{ }{

In a swift move, Peter (Tom) dodged the glider coming from behind and grabbed it mid-air. With one simple snap, he had put the glider into two pieces—dropping the scraps of it onto the ground.

Osborn wasn't near furious—in fact, he was beyond joy that he had destroyed the glider. All that anger inside Peter (Tom), it was what he had been hoping and searching for inside a Spider-Man ever since he laid eyes on his fated rival.

"Dance, shall we?" Osborn invited.

Peter (Tom) rushed at Norman and put a straight one clean on his face. Osborn stumbled a bit, but caught the next two and kneed Peter (Tom) in his stomach, bones cracking whilst doing so. Peter (Tom) was now at a disadvantage, now standing on one knee as Osborn approached him with such mindless laughter.

"You're weak, Parker!" Osborn held Peter's (Tom) head and smashes it with his own. Even with blood coming out of his head, as long as the pain reciprocated back to Peter (Tom), it was fine. "Incredibly weak!"

Osborn grabbed Peter's (Tom) back and threw him across the platform, his injured body facing face down. Footsteps rang in his ears, as his vision was blurry. It was like he was seeing double of everything. The next thing that happened was a foot that stomped on his face, crushing his jaw.

"Pathetic!"

The Goblin stood Peter (Tom) back up, who was rocking back and forth from the attacks, and punched him multiple times in the body. Spider-Man (Tom) tried to stay still, but his legs gave in as he kneeled down in front of Osborn. Raising his hands in the air, Osborn acted like he had one.

"All that work, Peter, for what?! Just so you can see your friend get killed?! I must have overestimated you a little too—" Osborn uppercutted Peter (Tom) which sent him back onto the floor. "—MUCH!"

Peter (Tom) stayed there, turning to the side to gain as much conscious back as possible. Osborn wasn't taking any breaks in-between, especially enjoying the beating he had on Peter (Tom). Trying to get back on his feet, the rain that started pouring made it difficult and dazed him even more.

Making him endure the pain even more, Osborn removed Peter's (Tom) mask and threw it off the roof. Now lying down with rain touching the side of his face, there were trails of blood now flowing endlessly.

Stretching one hand to crawl away, Osborn immediately stomped on it which dislocated some of his fingers.

"AH! AH—!" Peter (Tom) cried out, bringing his hand back to him and placing it under his chest to tolerate the pain. "Ah... God..."

"Peter..." Osborn looked down on him, as he was still trying to get a fighting chance with him. "You're struggling."

Kicking him on the side, Peter (Tom) fell back down and was now facing the sky, the raindrops falling onto his eyes. It was getting in the way, but made the pain hurt even worse. This was what he had to feel whilst getting up.

"All you do is dream! You dream... to have everything you want... while the world tries to make you choose!" Osborn mumbled in cold blood, grabbing the hair on his face and pulling him up. "It makes you predictable."

He slammed Peter's (Tom) face onto the ground, as all he began to feel was numbness throughout. Osborn took a step back, admiring his work before returning to it. Placing his foot on Peter's back, he rubbed it a little to warn the teenager—before unleashing a stomp that echoed throughout the island.

"Ned..." Peter (Tom) gasped, holding his battered chest in.

"What was that, Parker?" Osborn responded, placing one hand on his shoulder and the other starting to bash his face with consecutive punches.

After a while, Osborn stopped as Peter (Tom) spitted blood out of his mouth, coughing while now placing one hand down the floor to support himself as he tried to get up. Impressed, Osborn restrained himself before continuing any further.

"All we are filled is with revenge and hatred, Parker. We're meant for one another." Osborn lifted Peter (Tom) up to his waist, "You and I—we're not so different!"

"I—" Peter (Tom) mustered up a single word before he couldn't.

"Remember, Parker... no good deed goes unpunished." Osborn smiled, as Peter (Tom) pulled on his armour. "I hope you didn't forg—"

—A jab that almost bashed in Osborn's eyesight out.

Peter (Tom) had regained himself and was now on the offensive. Wobbling from the surprise attack, Osborn threw a punch at Spider-Man (Tom) but missed badly; as Peter (Tom) threw furious hooks at him. With one powerful punch left, Peter (Tom) shot a web at him and made Osborn eat in across the mouth—dropping his foe to the ground this time.

Peter (Tom) moved to the side to heal his hand and back, trying to be as fully-healed as possible. Possessing the same strength as Peter (Tom), Osborn got on his feet and laughed, watching as Peter (Tom) was still burdened with violent intent.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA—!" Grabbing another pumpkin bomb from his waist, he activated it directly at him.

With one flip, Peter (Tom) redirected the bomb to the other side, blowing up one of the main supporting pieces of the entire structure. A creaking sound followed with wreckage now falling down with it. Peter (Tom) didn't care, as long as he still had Osborn with him.

"Impressive!" Osborn yelled, running to Peter (Tom).

Peter (Tom) backflipped and landed behind Osborn, shooting a web at Osborn's foot and pulling it to drop him back onto the floor. With an opening, Peter (Tom) got onto Osborn and held him down, making sure he didn't move.

Mercilessly, Peter (Tom) unloaded a flurry of punches into Osborn's face. Punch after punch, it became brutal by the second. Blood splashed all over their faces as Peter (Tom) knew what he wanted to do—to kill the Green Goblin.

He noticed that he was trying to faintly stop his punches, so he placed his two thumbs onto his neck and watched as he tried to helplessly push them away. But it was too late.

—Peter had gotten off the deep end.

Pressing his thumbs hardly, he began to choke the living hell out of Osborn. In a matter of seconds, he was gasping for air; something he wasn't doing moments earlier. Seeing the struggle in his face reminded him of all the pain that he suffered these past few weeks. From the world berating him to calling him a non-hero, it was all too painful for him.

—But those eyes. The pain in Osborn's eyes.

It made him think before Osborn was losing breath—was this the hero he wanted to be? Was this the kid from Queens who accidentally ended up with super powers and wanted to do good with it? Was this Spider-Man—a person who wanted to show off justice to everyone alike?

—Was he trying to give that up?

Just before Osborn could pass out, Peter (Tom) let go of his hands and stood back up, fists bloodied and reddened due to their conflict. Sliding back, Osborn took a look at Peter's (Tom) status before saying:

"No matter what you do, Peter... no matter if you kill me or not... they'll hate you. Whatever you do for them... they'll still come to hate you."

Hearing enough from him, Peter (Tom) shot a web on his head and knocked him unconscious by banging it onto the floor.

—Osborn was now unconscious.

The deed had been done. Whatever revenge that was still in Peter (Tom), it was gone. He had gone far enough and he realized that. Everything that he had done just now...

—It was all for Ned.

But what broke him more was the fact that he wouldn't have wanted it. Ned wouldn't have wanted Peter (Tom) to go over the edge. At this point, he had jumped the extra mile.

—Spider-Man...

The entire statue was beginning to shake. Everything was starting to collapse on itself. There wasn't nearly enough time for everyone to get out in a comfortable manner. They were going to have to wing it so that everyone could get out of there.

Not noticing his surroundings, MJ had found a way down and was watching Peter (Tom) as he had let go of Osborn. This was a different side of him, and it was one that she feared the most—a unleashed Spider-Man.

Peter (Tom) glanced to MJ, who was seeing him hurt. He didn't have time to think of himself, it was time to think of everyone around him.

"Pete—" MJ couldn't finish her sentence as he shot a web at her body.

He pulled her to him, wrapping her around his arm. Looking for a safe spot below them, he needed to hurry up. Debris were now falling on top of them. Seeing as there was no safe way going down, Peter (Tom) trusted his instincts.

Above them, Peter (Andrew) had returned back to the top as he saw that the Electro and Sandman were still reeling from their respective hits. The plan now was to get out of there. Seeing who needed to get extracted, Strange and Osborn were still laying on the floor—fully unconscious for two different reasons.

Free-falling down, he landed on the platform to where they were and carried Strange in his arms. A bit heavy, but nothing he couldn't manage.

"God, you're heavy." Peter (Andrew) remarked, shooting a web at the Goblin before peeking down.

Dropping to the bottom, Osborn's body was dragged down along with their fall. Peter (Andrew) bounced off the falling pipes and wooden surfaces to avoid the debris from dropping directly on them. Jumping majestically, it was as if he was a professional dancer with his moves.

After a matter of time, he had landed with Strange's body intact while Osborn's body was bruised during their descent. Satisfied with the result, Peter (Andrew) ran over to the still diving Peter (Tom).

...

Peter (Tobey) was still keeping the device intact. The Multiversal fractures were slowly going away, as the box was containing the releases of the device. He was making sure that everything was going to be kept away, while simultaneously holding onto the web that held Octavius up.

The box was beginning to shake uncontrollably, unknown light shining from the holes in it. It was too much to contain, but it was the only hope they had of keeping the universe safe.

"—AHHHHH!!!" Peter (Tobey) groaned, trying to hold on longer. "C'mon Otto! Wake up!"

The web was now tearing apart, with Octavius lowering ever closer to falling to his death. If he let go from the device, it could fail from carrying through and unleash the Multiverse completely. But if he let go of Octavius, then he wasn't being true to himself.

—He would have let go everything that he represented as Spider-Man.

So he kept on holding. Even if it hurts like hell, he was going to keep on staying on it. If he can still carry on, he'll do it. That's what he does. It's what he's been doing for more than a decade. It's—

"—Peter!" Octavius called, who had gained consciousness.

"Oh, thank god." Peter (Tobey) muttered, seeing the sight of an awake Octavius.

"I'm finally conscious!"

"Yeah..." Peter (Tobey) obviously noticed, "A few minutes wouldn't have been so bad too!"

"..." Octavius took in the sight of the collapsing scaffolding. It was a dangerous situation, and one where they wouldn't get out unscathed.

"Can you stick to Liberty?! I need to handle the device!"

"I—I can't!" Octavius gestured lightly, "My arms... they're not responding!"

"Crap..." Peter (Tobey) murmured. "They'll respond!"

"I just said... it's not—!"

"They will! Talk to them! They're not just hunks of metal! They've been controlling you, Otto! But now you're in control..." Peter (Tobey) encouraged, closing his eyes as the pain was now kicking into its next gear. "You're in control now, Otto!"

"Control..." Octavius realized, glancing at the device he made himself. "He's right."

—The arms were not moving.

"..."

"Listen to me." Octavius started, "Listen to me!"

"..."

"You've controlled me long enough, but now I know... we need each other to survive this. If you want to survive, I need you to help me survive." Octavius explained clearly to the arms. "I know you're there!"

The arms flashed a yellow light, then weakly lifting into the air. They faced Octavius, who was grinning at them.

"Help me... for this one time. Help me wrong our mistakes..." Octavius turned Peter (Tobey), "A favor from an old friend."

The arms glanced at Octavius and one another, before actually moving by themselves. They stuck to the statue, enabling Peter (Tobey) to let go and have Octavius he safe himself. He stayed there, as Peter (Tobey) now dealt with the device.

"What am I looking at, Otto?!" Peter (Tobey) asked, "What will I do with this thing?! It's shaking!"

"I'll be damned if I knew! Whatever Beck put in that thing, we're doomed!" Octavius remarked.

"I need to destroy it!" Peter (Tobey) saw that the Multiversal fractures were nearly gone. "We're almost there!"

"Peter!" Octavius called, seeing the leaking blood coming out of the device. "It's going to—!"

Without hesitation, Peter (Tobey) threw the box in the air and jumped off—pulling Octavius to him with a web and carried him all the way down. In the middle of it, the box exploded into a million pieces: as big as tens of bombs. Peter (Tobey)'s back took the brunt of the damage, as Octavius and him spiralled going down.

It was like an absolute firework in the night, with the entire New York skyline being lit up. But it wasn't the thing they had to worry about the most.

...

Peter (Tom) and Peter (Andrew) watched above them as the device majestically exploded on top of Liberty Island. Millions of pieces fell to the ground—harmless to the people there. It was a sight to see—especially after all the fighting they had done.

—It was over.

Peter (Tom) realized it as everything started to come apart. All those weeks of hell... they were finally gone. But...

Ned...

He failed.

"Hey," Peter (Andrew) said suddenly, pointing to the sky, "Is that..?"

There were two figures who were holding each other as they fell to a dangerous faith. They were falling quickly and carelessly, surely due to the circumstances.

Taking an even closer look, Peter (Tom) had distinguished the situation all too well.

Peter (Tom) ran over to some of the scaffolding that was still standing. It was enough to garner the attention of both Peter (Andrew) and MJ.

"He—hey! Peter!" Peter (Andrew) called his counterpart, as awkwardly as it may seem.

Peter (Tom) wallrunned to the highest part he could, and bounced off it to catch the falling pair out of the air. As he caught them, he extended his Waldoes and began crashing into the ground. He landed roughly, rolling on the ground with such force that left scars all over his arms and legs even if it were from inside the suit.

The three of them—Peter (Tom), Peter (Tobey), and Octavius laid on the floor. They were all out of breath and nearing fainting after the events that had just occurred. Peter (Tom), bruised from both the fight and the fall, was still the first one to sit down, as Peter (Andrew) and MJ ran to them.

"Peter!" MJ ratted out Peter (Tom), who was still taking in his surroundings. "What were you thinking?!"

"I—I..." Peter (Tom) coughed, "Are they okay?"

"Yes!" MJ cried, hugging him, "Thanks to you..."

"I'm..." Peter (Tom) groaned, "I didn't save Ned. I couldn't... I couldn't save him."

"Peter..."

"I... I didn't save Ned..."

Peter (Tom) put those words out of his mouth. He was dead because of him. He was the reason why Ned was there, and he knew the dangers that were going to happen.

...And he still came.

He was gone.

Everything stopped around him. He couldn't stop the death of his own friend. With all the gifts he had, he couldn't even stop the death of a loved one. A pathetic hero... he thought.

With one web shooter left, he removed it entirely, throwing it to the side. He didn't need it. For now, he was done. For now, he didn't need it. For now, this meant nothing to him.

For now, there was no more Spider-Man.

"Peter..." Peter (Andrew) called, with tears in his eyes. He was holding someone in his hands, as he was being careful with his movements.

Peter (Tom) crouched, as MJ let go of his hand. Octavius was still laying on the floor—unconscious from the fighting and falling. That only meant one thing—it was him.

Peter's (Tobey) body was laying in Peter's (Andrew) arm. His mask was off, with blood pouring from his head. The back of his suit was completely charred, due to the explosion from the device. The Spider-Man symbol was torn apart, with it being slashed from their fight.

But he laid there like an angel. Someone who had fought all his life for what he believed in. Someone who believed in justice and heroism, and one that didn't give up. No matter what people threw at him, he still didn't give in. No matter what people thought of him, he still showed off who he was.

—In the end, and to the end, he was still Spider-Man.

"Pe—Peter..." Peter (Tom) said his name, not even minding the confusion. "I—I'm..."

"It's him, isn't it..." Peter (Tobey) faintly told Peter (Andrew), who nodded in response as he kept him in his arms. "Hey... we all did it, huh?"

"Peter..." Peter (Tom) held on his other hand, trying to feel his ever-fading heartbeat.

MJ watched behind them, respecting the bond of the three Spider-Men. Even if he wasn't his Peter Parker, he was just the same as the one he loved—embodying what a true hero was in the face of everyone. There was no one else who could have been Spider-Man but him.

"You guys won't forget me, right?" Peter (Tobey) chuckled, a single tear falling off his cheek. "It's... been some time..."

...

"I've always thought of hanging it up... and I always thought that I would do it wearing the suit." Peter (Tobey) coughed, trying to hold on, "I didn't think it would be this dramatic... haha..."

"Don't..." Peter (Tom) whispered, gripping his hand tighter.

"Don't forget about what I told you two, alright? You two are both Spider-Man and..." Peter (Tobey) stopped for a moment as blood trailed out of his mouth before continuing. "I don't want you two to stop doing it... because this doesn't define who you two are..."

...

"It doesn't matter who wears the suit. It could be anyone for all we care. But it isn't about the suit..." Peter (Tobey) glanced at both of them. "It's about who is in it. Stop trying to be the best Spider-Man you two could be..."

...

"Be the best Peter Parker."

Peter (Tom) gripped his hand a little too hard, as Peter (Tobey) stared to him. He was crying, and he couldn't hold it back.

This Peter Parker was broken. Everything he has been doing—it has all been going downhill. Everything that he's been trying to fix came with a cost, and he could tell that it's hurting him. But losing him as Spider-Man... that would hurt the world as much as it would hurt him.

So, from a Spider-Man that has seen everything in his career, this was the best thing he could do for him.

"Peter," Peter (Tobey) tapped him on his shoulder. With that, he obliged to look even with the tears streaming down his face. "This is your fight. You and I know what's best for you... you realize your gifts and opportunities now... so..."

...

"With great power..." Peter (Tobey) let go of his hand, closing his eyes one last time with a smile.

And with that, Peter (Tom) finished it with the face of determination. "comes great responsibility..."

Slowly, Peter's (Tobey) hand let go.
