Bethel's Pov

We were now heading back to hotel where we were staying with a hot blonde back in our car claiming to be immortal 300 year old chick.

Few minutes later

At a casual bar in west Paris with Ariadna sitting on a chair facing all four of us .

"Could someone tell me again that how did we end up here?" Simon asked puzzled.

"Oh right! We skipped that part , didn't we?" I nervously chuckled to which both Spice and Ariadna glared.

"Fine" I sighed.

Few minutes earlier

"Hey! It is still quite a day left. Wouldn't it be too early to get in hotel right now?" Luwis suggested. I pondered over it . He wasn't really wrong. At least not about this. But if we don't go back to hotel now , where else would we go? We three couldn't just solve this puzzle with Spice by ourselves. We needed someone else and I knew exactly who to call as I told them to stop the car at specific restaurant. I quickly texted Ariadna to come "Hey! Emergency. Frozen blonde accompanied."

Present time

"Hey! Are you calling me a frozen blonde ?" Spice scowled.

"Well yeah! But you obviously don't know what it means so I just can't figure out..." I started until I was meeting her shining eyes.

"Or..you could still sense that it is not exactly best way to describe you." I trailed off.

"So let me get this straight. Of all people you could have called, you called me to tell that just after we slept together, you three met her and you woke her up by kissing her on lips and she is an immortal 300 year old  agent recuirted by Robert Clive knocked out wherever by a mysterious Portuguese Queen." She started nailing the table.

"I know it sounds crazy but you didn't have to mention "kiss" or "sleeping together" part you know." I nervously chuckled as she raised her eyes.

"He is not lying about kiss. It was pretty pathetic sight. Just being held in air after that awful kiss he must have given her..."Simon began as I hit him in the head.

"Ow! Relax. Just kidding." He laughed.

"Did none of you guys wonder how she ended up in a wrecked car's bumper in first place if she is really telling truth which I don't believe.", Ariadna added looking fiercely at her.

"I know it is hard to believe if I put myself in your position too but I truly have no idea about it . It was fortunate incident that Bethel woke me up and the world can finally know the truth of what happened to Clive." Spice leaned at her. Ariadna kept looking at her in questioning manner until she started to get itchy in eyes.

"Alright! I would give you benefit of doubt." She agreed as we all beamed.

"If. If you stay away from him." She continued looking at me. I was surprised by this turn of events. What? Why would she want her to be away from me . It seems so illogical.

"What are you talking about?" I began but Spice interrupted me.

"Deal." She smiled.

"You are agreeing to this stupid condition." I was shocked. Simon and Luwis were surprisingly wearing sunglasses all of sudden with a smirk on their faces at who knows what.

"You are so dense, Bethel." Spice chuckled.

"No idea what you are talking about! But fine. If it is ok with you , then it is ok with me."I sat back on my chair as Ariadna looked fiercely at Spice. What is the deal with her?

"Now Spice! I gotta tell you we can't exactly go on spreading news that Clive had secret army and alll that stuff you were talking about." Ariadna  told her calmly. There was an uncanny silence in bar all of sudden as she said those words. It was like all people were in sync thinking to stop talking and that is moment when you feel Goosebumps of just simple words.

"Why not? Doesn't the world deserve to know the truth?" She groaned.

"Some truths are too critical and delicate to tell to all. They can cause chaos and bring more devastating consequences. Now I don't believe in coincidences. Attack on you three by robot all of sudden and sudden acitivity of strange events in some place bringing you three to find Spice is not just two seperate random events. They have a very strong connection and I am sure that the people who launched attack on you are not gonna rest easy. They must have been informed that you have gone with Spice, Bethel and that is why you must not have yourself spotted by causing such historic turmoil. It is time to lay low." She finished. We all were totally famished. Each word she said was absolutely right. We didn't even think about that. We were so caught by Clive that we didn't spread our vision.

"But doesn't that mean Spice will be targeted by them now?" Luwis asked.

"Exactly and that is why you mustn't be near her, Bethel. You will be in danger for nothing but internal latent fact of history." Ariadna confirmed.

"I can't just sit doing nothing and waiting for her to be captured or killed by them. We gotta stop them." I looked at her.

"And how do you propose we do that?" She came close to me all of sudden startling me.

"Hmm! No big talk now. Is there? This is not the time to think yourself as like a hero charged with saving any damsel in distress. I am sure she knows pretty slick moves being in secret army of a great general like Robert Clive.  Besides we have no clue to who they are , how they get their resources and where they are now? Better to stay out of a danger that is not ours and not at all preventable." She stared at me intensely.

"I know you are right." I sighed as her face washed with relief.

"But I refuse to let someone get harmed if I can stop it." I finished giving her a peck on cheek and quickly dragged out Spice leaving Ariadna shocked.

"Hey! " Spice tapped me as I continued jostling through crowd.

"Bethel! Are you sure about this?" She came in front of me.

"Yes! I gotta help you. Plus! It is too interesting event to miss." I smiled.

"Alright then." She beamed.

"I knew one day you were gonna do something like this." A familiar voice came from somewhere.

"Simon ! Luwis!" I exclaimed turning back.

"Now! Two are team, four is rush. We know but I can't let you go empty handed, now can I ?" Luwis chuckled as he gave me a pen.

"Sure! It will come in handy to write.." I bit my lips seeing a green pen as Simon laughed.

"You will know how to use it when time comes. It is more than just a pen." He shook my hand.

"Take care! And don't mess it up , new kid." Simon imitated Mr lepton as both me and Spice chuckled.

"Without you around to crack me up , I doubt I will." I smiled. Me and Spice both baded our goodbye to Simon and Luwis as we set out walking on streets of Paris . And I was more determined than ever to find out that chick responsible for all this mess. But one thing was sure. It was gonna be one hell of a ride with Spice. Well so much for East India Company Scandal. Huh! Sounds like a good title now! Doesn't it.
