Jimin was just a tad bit suspicious.
It had been around a week since his peculiar meeting with the brunette that went by the name of Jungkook, and not once since then had Jimin seen him around the neighbourhood. He had never seen him enter or leave any of the recently sold houses, and hadn't heard anything about anybody moving into the neighbourhood alone.
It was strange, definitely, but Jimin always tried his best not to make assumptions unless he knew the entire story.
"Taehyung, have you met the new neighbour yet?" He asked, watching curiously as his long term boyfriend took ice cubes out of their fridge to put into a glass of water. The ice clinked against the glass once he dropped them into the cup, releasing crackling sounds as they came into contact with the water
Taehyung hummed softly, bringing the glass up to his lips and taking a gulp of the drink. He furrowed his eyebrows and shook a few dusty grey pieces of hair out of his eyes, before tilting his head to the side in confusion.
"We have a new neighbour?" He asked, his dangling earrings swaying softly as he took another sip of his ice cold drink. He was already dressed and ready for work, and Jimin found himself being amazed by his beauty even after all of these years. His chocolate eyes glinted underneath his round lense glasses. When they had met four years ago, Taehyung's eyes had been Jimin's favourite physical feature of him.
All of those years later, and they still were.
"Yeah." Jimin nodded, walking up behind Taehyung and resting his head on his shoulder. "A young guy, he's living alone."
"I'm guessing that you've met him then?" Taehyung asked, chuckling softly as Jimin nuzzled his head into the crook of his neck. Jimin hummed, fluffy hair brushing against Taehyung's skin as he nodded.
"I saw him on my way to work about a week ago." He wrapped his arms around Taehyung's waist, slipping his fingers underneath the hem of his boyfriend's light blue button up. Taehyung's skin was freezing cold - it always was. It was just something that Jimin had learned to get used to. "His name's Jungkook."
Jimin's interest immediately piqued as he felt Taehyung tense up under his touch at the mention of the new neighbour's name, lifting his head up and tilting Taehyung's head to the side so that he could get a look at his facial expression.
It was hard, obviously in an attempt to block out whatever emotions truly did want to shine through. He asked about it, knowing fully well that their mutual honesty was the reason that they had lasted together so long.
"Taehyung? What's up?" He asked gently, his boyfriend huffing softly and turning around so that he could face him. "Do you know him?"
"No, I..." Taehyung's mouth was set into a deep frown, eyebrows knitted together. "I just don't like the name. It doesn't hold a lot of good memories for me." He slowly allowed his face to soften, noticing he worry that was painted across Jimin's. "Nothing that could bother me now, just some unresolved tension from awhile ago."
He bent down and kissed Jimin's nose as so to prove that he was being honest with him.
Jimin breathed a sigh of relief, nodding slowly.
"You've got to get to work don't you?" He frowned softly again, Taehyung chuckling softly at the displeasure he was exhibiting.
"I do, but I'll be back, so I don't want your pouting right now." He laughed, ruffling Jimin's hair before kissing the crown of his head gently. "See you."
He walked away from Jimin, slipping on his white sneakers that were always kept at the door. "Love you!" He called as he opened the door, Jimin immediately returning the phrase as if it was second nature before Taehyung left and closed the door behind him.

"I've heard that Hoseok offered you a place in Gwangju."
It was always a rarity whenever Kim Namjoon stepped a foot outside of Seoul, but it seemed as if he decided that his yearly outing would be reserved for Jungkook. "You should really think about it. It doesn't seem dangerous now, I know, but you never know when it could get bad again."
Namjoon was the type of witch that everyone else frowned upon. Not due to his personality or appearance, simply due to the strand of witchcraft that he was born into. The most taboo form of magic, was of course the kind that he was involved in - blood magic. All of the other witches frowned upon it, found it dangerous and just downright off putting.
Namjoon was a very beautiful and elegant witch, despite being the son of a chaotic witch father and a blood witch mother. Most witches of that descent would be delinquents, troublemakers with no regard for themselves or anyone else. Namjoon was refined, shiny hair a silver tone and swept off of his forehead. His eyes were ruby red, contrasting against the jet black fabric that made up most of his clothing.
"I've though about it a ton, and have come to the conclusion that I'm staying here." Jungkook sat down across from Namjoon, huffing softly and taking off his hat. He ruffled up his hair, a few leaves that lodged themselves there during one of his hikes falling onto the table in front of them. "None of you seem to think I can take care of myself. I'd take offence from it if I didn't know that it was coming from the good of your heart."
It was silent between the two of them for a few long moments, Namjoon seemingly trying to think of something to say to the younger witch that didn't have to do with his choice of location to live in. The silver haired witch finally sighed, rolling up the sleeves of his black dress shirt.
"I heard you're trying to whip up a batch of witch's weed, huh?" Namjoon's words were casual, however it was evident that there was a thin veil of amusement that covered them.
"Where'd you hear that from?" Jungkook asked, picking at the chipping black polish that coated his fingernails. He wasn't even sure why he bothered asking, because he already knew what the answer was. There was only one other witch that knew what he had been up to.
"Hoseok, of course." Namjoon laughed softly. "I don't even know why you asked that question."
Jungkook merely hummed, drawing patterns against the old wood table they sat at with his finger. To Namjoon, Jungkook looked much more grown up than the last time they spoke. He had begun to lose the baby fat on his face, height almost rivalling Namjoon's own at this point. His eyes held emotions that Namjoon just couldn't decode, and his hands already looked worn and tired despite him being such a young witch.
He looked youthful, but there was an aura about him that told Namjoon that he had long outgrown his youth. His dreary eyes spoke tales of his early maturity.
It was somewhat saddening to witness.
"I know first hand that he couldn't keep his mouth shut if he tired." Despite his words, Jungkook's words didn't sound annoyed. He was fond of the fire witch, though he could be too much to handle at some times. "But anyway, the key word you used it 'tried'. The recipe is near impossible to replicate." A dejected sigh left his downturned lips. "Try not to judge me too much."
"I'm not judging you, I promise, Jungkook." Namjoon's words were gentle. "You're lonely, I understand. If I were you, I would probably end up doing the same thing."
Jungkook seemed to choose not to reply to that, simply shrugging in response. "I could help you, if you'd like." Now that piqued Jungkook's interest, and he raised a curious eyebrow at Namjoon's words.
"Help me?" He questioned, tugging at the collar of his white button up. "I'm not sure that I understand what you're getting at here."
"There's a blood magic spell that's pretty similar to the potion you were attempting." The older witch explained, taking off his hat and shaking up his shining silver hair. "I mean, it is a bit more intense than the green witch's version, but it does basically the exact same thing." He studied Jungkook's expression, noting how curious the younger witch looked. He was definitely considering it, hat much was obvious.
"I want to sound as nice as possible when I say this, but blood magic scares me a bit." Jungkook chuckled nervously, scratching at the back of his neck sheepishly. "I've heard that it hurts and I just.. I don't know."
"The only ones that hurt are the spells that are used in the name of malice or revenge." Namjoon sighed. "As for the actual blood drawing process - if you've ever gotten a paper cut before then you'll be fine."
It was tempting, but temptation was dangerous and Jungkook knew this.
"You really promise that it won't hurt me?" Jungkook questioned, really trying to convince himself that something a small as a spell wouldn't kill him. He was so desperate to rid himself of his lonely feeling that he was truly considering partaking in a notoriously risky strain of magic.
"I promise." Namjoon smiled reassuringly, easing about a third of Jungkook's restless nerves.
The younger took a deep breath, averting his gaze from Namjoon's and tugging gently at one of his dangling earrings as a nervous habit.
"I'll do it then."
