Third Person's POV

We start in Seaside Island in a mirror dimension as a broken Mirror Crab Bot is seen flying across the land. A mirror Tails and mirror Turbo are chasing a mirror Motobug but mirror Amy breaks it with her hammer. Mirror Sticks throws her boomerang towards a Mirror Crab Bot and destroys it. An mirror Octopus Bot emerges out of the bushes. It shoots ink at Team Sonic. The ink touches the ground and mirror Sonic and mirror Brody  slip on it "We could use some help here" Mirror Sonic said "I'm all over it" Mirror Dave said and Sonic and Brody fall over "Anyone order a butt-kicking with a side of pain and extra humiliation sauce?" Mirror Dave asks and fires hamburgers towards the Mirror Octopus Bot. They mess up Mirror Eggman's windshield. The Octopus Bot shoots a laser that directly hits Amy at her feet, blowing her up in the air. Mirror Knuckles, riding on a pair of Hoverboards, catches her before she falls to the ground "I always knew you'd fall for me" Mirror Knuckles said "Ahh..." Mirror Amy said "Knuckles the Echidna, my arch-nemesis" Mirror Eggman said "You never learn, do you, Egghead. You'll never defeat my team!" Mirror Knuckles said "We're a team? We should get matching uniforms!" Mirror Sonic said "Oh Sonic. Uniforms by definition match" Mirror Knuckles said and pats Sonic's head "Now, if you'll excuse me, the grown-ups have some work to do" Mirror Knuckles said and releases one of his Hoverboards that destroys a Mirror Crab Bot. He tries hitting the Octopus Bot with the other Hoverboard, which hits Mirror Octopus Bot on the underbelly. The Mirror Octopus Bot catches smoke and falls to the ground. Knuckles unleashes the ground pound to finish it off. The shockwave blows back a few more Mirror Crab Bots and blasts the Mirror Octopus Bot up in the air, which then crashes back to the ground. It then emits a red and blue energy beam that merge together and directly hit Knuckles "Nooo!" Mirror Sonic said and tries to save Mirror Knuckles, but he is too late, as Mirror Knuckles gets warped away before he can reach him.

*Meanwhile outside Sonic and Brody's shack*

Sonic and Brody catch two chili dog with a body dive before it hit the sand " Oh, got it! That was almost the worst disaster imaginable" Sonic said and he and Brody eat the chili dogs "Mmm..." Brody said and Team Sonic is having a baroque outside Sonic and Brody's Shack. Tails, Turbo, Ralph and Amy sit at the table while Sticks works the grill. Suddenly, Mirror Knuckles appears out of thin air "Yargh! Kill it with fire!" Sticks said "Calm down, it's just Knuckles" Turbo said "Oh" Sticks said "Kill Knuckles with fire!" Sticks said "Cool entrance, Knux" Sonic said "You were supposed to get hamburger buns" Amy said "In mid-battle? Sweet Amy, there will be time for your delicious burgers after we've defeated that dastardly deviant Eggman" Mirror Knuckles said "Nice vocab" Brody said "And impressive alliteration. You've been taking night classes?" Tails asks "Hey guys!" Knuckles said and walks in, carrying a tray full of burger buns. He looks at his doppelganger. The two Knuckles stare at each other "Who's the beefcake?" Knuckles asks.

Later at Amy's house, "They really look alike. We need to figure out how to tell them apart" Sticks said "I know. Our Knuckles can wear something to distinguish himself. But which one's our Knuckles?" Amy asks "Well, that depends. What does distinguish mean?" Knuckles asks and Amy runs off and returns with a blue party hat "No way! I'm not wearing that!" Knuckles said "I'd be honored to wear your ridiculous hat my dear" Mirror Knuckles said and puts the hat on "Ahh..." Amy said "He may look like Knuckles, but he sure doesn't talk like him" Sonic said "Hey! I talked gooder than you" Knuckles said 'There's a perfectly rational explanation for this' Tails thinks and everyone looks and listens to Tails and Turbo, but after a long wait, they shrug "We just haven't figured it out yet" Turbo said and everyone groans at Tails and Turbo "Worry not, young Tails and Turbo. Be diligent. In time, the answer will seek you" Mirror Knuckles said "Whoa. I sound like a fortune cookie!" Knuckles said "There's only one person smart enough to unravel this enigma" Mirror Knuckles said.

*Later at Meh Burger*

"Welcome to Meh Burger. Can I take your order?" Dave asks "Dave! I'm glad I found you, friend. We need your brilliant mind" Mirror Knuckles said "I'm sorry. We're all out of that. May I recommend the Meh Rib Sandwich? They're only available for a limited time" Dave said and Mirror Knuckles clenches his fist "What's going on here?! Everyone seems to be the opposite of their normal selves" Mirror Knuckles said "Hmm... I think I understand what's happening. They say it's available for a limited time to create a false demand" Tails said "That's how they get ya" Sticks said "Also, I just figured out that this guy is from another dimension!" Turbo said "Another dimension? You mean with duplicates of each of us?" Brody asks "What if another of me shows up? I can't trust me. I'm a loose cannon!" Sticks said and screams running away.

Later at Tails and Turbo's workshop, " For years, it's been theorized that a Mirror Dimension exists parallel to our own" Tails said "Theorized..." Sonic said and Fastidious Beaver glares at Sonic through a window "By... whom?" Brody asks and Fastidious ducks down "Theorized by me and Turbo. You see, the two Knuckleses are polar opposites. One is smart, sophisticated, charming, likeable and a born leader" Tails said "Thank you!" Knuckles and Mirror Knuckles said "And the other one thought We were talking about him" Turbo said "So how do we send them back?" Amy asks "That depends on how he got here in the first place. Silly hat Knuckles, what's the last thing you remember?" Tails asks "As I led my team to certain victory, Eggman's Octopus Bot was shooting red and blue energy beams. Two of them crossed, creating a purple beam. Sonic tried to save me, but he was too clumsy and fell" Mirror Knuckles said "Hmm... We'll need some time to experiment so We can replicate the beam frequencies" Turbo said "Forget that. If the Eggman of my dimension had the technology to send me here, the Eggman of yours should have what we need to send me back" Mirror Knuckles said "Great idea! Let's go ask Eggman" Amy said "Who said anything about asking? Let's take it! Better to ask for forgiveness than permission" Mirror Knuckles said "Wow. I sound like a whole box of fortune cookies!" Knuckles said "Let's do this. Follow me, team!" Mirror Knuckles said "Not so fast, silly hat Knux. We're not aggressors. Tails and Turbo will figure this out. We need to be patient" Sonic said "You can sit on the sidelines if you want, but I'm taking action" Mirror Knuckles said and runs off "I don't know what just happened, but I'm pretty sure we're mad of you guys" Knuckles said and also runs off, but bumps into something, hurting himself.

*Back at Meh Burger*

Knuckles is sitting alone at a table. Sonic and Brody walk in and want to talk to him "There you are, buddy. Hope you're not mad about before. We got you a card to cheer you up" Brody said and Amy reads the card ""Sorry the alternate dimension you is a jerk."" Amy said and puts the card flat on the table. Knuckles tries lifting it but fails, making him bang his fists furiously on the table "Stupid card! I didn't want to lift it anyway" Knuckles said and stands up, but his legs wobble, and he falls to the ground unconscious. At the same time outside Eggman's Lair, Mirror Knuckles is fighting Badniks. He flickers before destroying a Crab Bot.

*Back at Tails and Turbo's workshop*

Inside the Workshop, Knuckles is lying on the table "I'm fine, guys, I swear!" Knuckles said and starts flickering "I hate it when he does that" Sticks said and smacks Knuckles' head. Knuckles stops flickering "This must be tied to the other Knuckles" Turbo said "Do you mean that guy with the hat?" Knuckles asks "Having two of you in the same dimension is causing a catastrophic anomaly" Tails said "Oh, that's my least favorite kind! Well, that and mint chocolate chip. Bleugh!" Knuckles said "Tails, English please?" Brody asks "Because both Knuckles are here, the boundary between the two dimensions is eroding. Eventually, both will implode. We need them together so I can send the smart one back" Tails said "OK. Tails and Turbo, Keep working on your... red, blue, purple beam thing. Brody, Ralph Amy, Sticks and I are going to Eggman's Lair to bring back... that other guy" Sonic said.

*Inside Eggman's Lair*

Mirror Knuckles is busy destroying more of Eggman's badniks. He turns to Eggman, but begins to flicker "Huh?" Mirror Knuckles asks and Eggman presses a button on his wrist controller and deploys a net from the ceiling, which traps Mirror Knuckles. Outside the lair, Sonic, Brody, Ralph, Amy and Sticks are standing outside the lair, trying to infiltrate it "OK. Everyone ready to put the plan into action?" Brody asks "Yeah!" Amy, Sticks, Sonic and Ralph said and Sonic and Brody slowly walk to the lair door and bang it "I'm busy. Come back tomorrow" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody groan "Hey. You're my prisoner. You can't just disappear like that. Stop flickering!" Eggman said "Alright. Plan B" Sonic said and Sonic and Brody take some distance from the door and spin attack the wall, breaking a hole in it.

Inside Eggman's Lair, "Imagine the look on Sonic and Brody's face when he sees I have Knuckles trapped" Eggman said and hears the wall being barged open "You don't have to imagine Egghead, cuz here We are!" Sonic and Brody said "That was a bit of a letdown. I was expecting a bigger reaction, maybe shocked, outraged, perhaps even a little ennui. Anywho, Motobugs, attack!" Eggman said and a group of Motobugs charge at Team Sonic. Sonic and Brody spin attack a Motobug. Mirror Knuckles watches the debris fly across the room and into the hole in the wall "Look who broke down the wall. The non-aggressors" Mirror Knuckles said "Dude, this is more of a rescue than an attack!" Sonic said punching another Motobug "Excuses are easy to manufacture, but hard to sell" Mirror Knuckles said "Why is Knuckles talking like a fortune cookie?" Eggman asks "That's not Knuckles. It's his double from another dimension" Ralph said "Oh. That explains the hat, so you can tell them apart. Great idea" Eggman said "Thank" Amy said and hammers a Motobug "You" she said "Wait a minute. There are multiple Knuckles in this dimension? That could cause some kind of catastrophic anomaly. I do not want a dimensional explosion in my lab. I just had the floors waxed" Eggman said and releases Mirror Knuckles from the trapping cage. Mirror Knuckles flickers "So what are you waiting for, get it out of here!" Eggman said "Well, actually, the reason alternate dimension Knuckles is here, is that alternate dimension Eggman shot him with lasers from alternate dimension Octopus Bot" Brody said "That's so alternate dimension me." Eggman said "Any chance we could borrow your lasers so Tails and Turbo can send this guy back and prevent the destruction of pretty much everything?" Sonic asks and Eggman laughs "You should have just asked me in the first place. Oh, but I need them back by Thursday" Eggman said "What's happening Thursday?" Sticks asks "I'm gonna attack, your... eh, I mean I'm having a party" Eggman said hesitating and Sticks gives a stern look to Eggman.

*Later at Tails and Turbo's workshop*

Both Knuckles are standing on a platform. Tails and Turbo have the apparatus ready and is holding a remote "For this to work, you need to be touching. So when We tell you to, bump fists" Tails said "Farewell, new friend. I've learned much from this wonderful journey" Mirror Knuckles said "Okay" Turbo said and Sonic, Brody, Ralph, Amy and Sticks watch on "Here goes!" Tails said and presses a button on his remote, but nothing happens "Oops. Er... Forgot to change batteries" Turbo said and he and Tails rush off. Both Knuckles put their arms down. Sonic, Brody, Ralph, Amy and Sticks show a miserable look. Sticks looks at Amy, but she shrugs "Awkward" Sonic and Brody said "Yeah, it's like when you say goodbye to someone and then you both walk away in the same direction" Mirror Knuckles said "Yeah" Sonic said "So awkward" Amy said "I hate that" Knuckles said "People always follow me" Sticks said "All set!" Tails and Turbo said and Sticks, Amy, Ralph, Brody and Sonic look at Tails and Turbo, then look at both Knuckleses, breathing a sigh of relief. Tails and Turbo press a red and blue button simultaneously on the remote. The lights from the machine glow "Bump!" Tails and Turbo said and the two Knuckles prepare to fist bump, but Mirror Knuckles has one more thought "By the way, Sonic and Brody, you're much more capable in this dimension" Mirror Knuckles said "Nice meeting you" He said to Knuckles "You're the handsomest fellow I ever met" Knuckles said "Thank you, dim-witted version of me" Mirror Knuckles said and both Knuckles fist bump each other and hold their fists together. Tails and Turbo activate the two machines. Both Knuckleses get confused, but eventually they let go of their fists. Mirror Knuckles gets warped away immediately after. Mirror Knuckles' hat falls on the platform "Cool. Can I do that again if I rub my feet on the carpet and touch things?" Knuckles asks.

*At Seaside Island in the Mirror Dimension*

Mirror Sonic and Mirror Brody fall on their heads in the sand. Mirror Knuckles is warped in to his world and notices Mirror Sonic and Mirror Brody on the ground "Here, buddy. Let me help you" Mirror Knuckles said and helps Sonic and Brody up "Oh. Thanks Knux" Mirror Sonic and Brody said and several Mirror Crab Bots approach Mirror Sonic, Mirror Brody and Mirror Knuckles as this chapter comes to an end.
