Third Person's POV

We start in Seaside Island canyon as Sonic, Brody and Tails sit in the Tailsmobile  in the middle of the canyon "What's so awesome that you had to bring us all the way out here?" Sonic asks "Check it out. Voice. Activated. Controls. Start engine" Tails said and the Tailsmobile beebs, turns on and starts hovering "Uh. Let me try. Give me a chocolate shake" Brody said and a compartment on the Tailsmobile's instrument board opens, and out comes a mechanical arm carrying a vanilla shake "Vanilla? I asked for chocolate. Fail" Brody said taking the shake and the Tailsmobile beebs and out comes a mechanical arm with a cup of chocolate syrup. After a second however, it pours the chocolate on Brody's head "Ah!" Brody said and Tails looks at Brody in suprise "Still working out the kinks... There's a towel back at the workshop" Tails said and Brody puts the vanilla shake on the Tailsmobile and jumps out of the vehicle and runs away with Sonic.In their wake, there is a loud deafening noise that shakes the Tailsmobile. Tails covers his ears "Ow!" Tails said and the Tailsmobile beebs and starts flying around. Tails is unable to control the vehicle as it flies out of the canyon.

*Meanwhile at the Village Center*

Brody and Sonic run through the Village Center while a loud noise is heard. As Brody and Sonic pass by the village, all the citizens cover their ears while screaming in pain. Lady Walrus falls down on her knees. Brody and Sonic then run through the gate to Tails and Turbo's property.

At Tails and Turbo's workshop, the workshop shakes from the noise until Sonic and Brody arrive at the desk. Brody dryes himself off with the towel and runs away again with Sonic. The workshop shakes again as the noise resumes.

*Back at Seaside Island canyons*

Tails is flying through the canyons in his uncontrollable Tailsmobile "Um, voice control? I don't mean to be bossy, but... don't crash!" Tails said and the Tailsmobile is flying through the canyons. The local volcano is shown at the end of the canyons "Uh-oh..." Tails said and as the Tailsmobile reaches the end of the volcano, it screeches to a halt right at the edge and Tails exhales. Sonic and Brody are running through the canyons while accompanied by a loud noise and Tails pugs his ears and screeches and the Tailsmobile beebs and starts vibrating until it falls off the edge and into the volcano. Noticing this, Sonic and Brody head into the volcano while Tails screams as he plummets and Sonic and Brody go down a circular path inside the volcano before jumping into the Tailsmobile, knocking it back on solid ground. Sonic and Brody land next to the Tailsmobile "I guess voice-activated rocket thrusters are a bad idea when you are screaming" Sonic said and Tails takes off his seat belt "I wouldn't been screaming if you two weren't making that horrible noise!" Tails said "What noise? We didn't hear any noise" Brody said and Sonic nods "Wait a minute..." Tails said and jumps out of the Tailsmobile and walks up to Sonic and Brody " I bet because you two are faster than the speed of sound, you don't hear it" Tails said " I'll prove it wasn't us. When We start running and nothing happens, you are going to feel so dumb" Sonic said and he and Brody start running and the loud noise is heard and Tails screams so Sonic and Brody stop "Now, that's just circumstantial evidence" Brody said.

*Later at Tails and Turbo's workshop*

Sonic and Brody sit on a table while Tails and Turbo hold reflex hammers "Sonic, Brody, We are gonna run a few tests to figure out what's wrong with you two" Turbo said. Tails and Turbo run Sonic and Brody through a series of tests including a knee reflex check, a regular sprint, an energy bike, and Irish dancing, all ending in failure "We just can't figure out what's wrong with you two. Until we get to the bottom of this, you better not run" Tails said "Alright, no problem" Sonic and Brody said and they run out the workshop and the noise sounds. Tails and Turbo jerk around in pain trying to cover their ears. Sonic and Brody appear in the workshop's door "Sorry. Old habit" Sonic said and slams the door.

*Later at the beach around Sonic and Brody's shack*

Sonic and Brody walk up to Tails, Turbo, Knuckles, Ralph, Amy and Sticks, who are standing near a volleyball net "Sonic! Brody! You were supposed to bring the volleyball" Amy said "Oh, sorry. We'll just zip back home to get it" Sonic said and he and Brody prepare to run so everyone covers their ears preparing for the worse. Sonic and Brody notice this and quickly resume a normal pose "And by zip, We mean walk slowly and deliberately" Brody said.

Sonic and Brody start walking boringly across the beach while sweating. A map showing a travel across an entire landscape appears "Ugh. Is this what average people do? This is nuts!" Sonic and Brody said as Sonic picks up the volleyball in front of his and Brody's shack. They then turn around for the readers to see that they have only walked about five feet away. As Sonic and Brody walk back with the volleyball slowly, Crab Bots appear in the coconut trees so Sonic drops the volleyball "Guys! Robot attack at six o' clock!" Sonic and Brody said "Behind you!" Sonic said as Crab Bots tries to get the drop on Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks. As the six starts to fight back, Sonic and Brody run to Amy's aid. However, the noise sounds and Amy covers her ears and looks angrily at Sonic and Brody before crushing a Crab Bot "Sonic and Brody, we got this!" Amy said so Sonic and Brody sit down on a beach chair, ejected. Amy walks away. Knuckles and Ralph engage two Crab Bots fist-to-fist "Way to go Knux! A left, then a right, then another left!" Sonic said "Don't distract me" Knuckles said and gets punched by the Crab Bot until he falls down. Meanwhile Sticks is hiding from two Crab Bots in the bushes "Sticks! Your best move here is a spin attack!" Brody said and Sticks pops out of the bushes "That's your move, not mine" Sticks said and the Crab Bots spot Sticks "Uh-oh..." Sticks said and Sonic and Brody look embarrassed. Amy is hammering loose on Crab Bots. A Crab Bot fires lasers at Amy which she evades "Yeah! Give them a taste of your secret triple backflip move!" Sonic said and Amy tries doing her move, but is grabbed in midair by a Crab Bot and thrown into the ground "It's not a secret if you tell everyone!" Amy said and Sonic looks embarrased "This ends now..." Sticks said.

Later, Sonic and Brody are tied to a coconut tree "Hey! We thought you were taking about them!" Brody said and fighting noises are heard in the background "Oh, sure. Act like you can do this without..." Sonic said and a Crab Bot is crushed by Amy's hammer ".....us" Sonic and Brody said dissapointed and several destroyed Crab Bots are show. Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Amy, Knuckles and Sticks celebrate their victory while Sonic and Brody are still tied to the coconut tree. Sonic and Brody turn around as they notice Eggman sitting on a beach chair nearby "Looks like someone else is sitting on the sidelines" Eggman said "Eggman!" Sonic said and tries to break free "Wait, what do you mean "someone else"?" Brody asks "I didn't sent out these Crab Bots" Eggman said and sits up "Orbot and Cubot were dusting and accidently hit a button in the lair" Eggman said "So, you weren't behind this?" Sonic and Brody ask and Eggman drags the beach chair closer to Sonic and Brody "Looks like you don't need to be a genius to be an evil genius anymore" Eggman said and lies  down in the beach chair "Makes me feel kinda unneeded" Eggman said and pulls out some popcorns and starts eating them "I guess we have something in common..." Brody said "You two eat popcorn when you are depressed too?" Eggman asks " Eh... no~!" Sonic said and he and Brody look back at their friends. Sticks is taking pictures of Amy, Tails Turbo, Ralph and Knuckles standing victorious over the Crab Bots. Sonic and Brody look back at Eggman "You know, sitting on the whole sidelines thing?" Brody said "Here, have some popcorn. You'll feel better" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody try to get the popcorn, but cannot break free from the coconut trees. Sonic and Brody thus open their mouths while Eggman throws a popcorn into it "Okay, the doctor is in. Talk to me. Just because I'm your sworn enemy, it doesn't mean we can't be friends" Eggman said "Sonic! Brody! Eggman's not your friend. If you listen to him, you're gonna end up tied to something" Sticks said "Yeah, cause Eggman tied us to this tree" Sonic said glaring at them "I don't think this is a good idea, Sonic and Brody" Tails said "You couldn't help us! And you guys tie us up just cause we wanted to help!" Sonic said and Brody sighs "Eggman whenever Sonic and I run, there's... this weird noise" Brody said "You know, that happens to Cubot when he gets into the motor oil. Let's go run some tests" Eggman said and gets up from the beach chair and starts up his Eggmobile and gestures for Sonic and Brody to come, but they cannot since they are tied to the coconut tree. Eggman thus disintegrates the upper and lower half of the palm tree with his wrist controller. Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks look on in worry. Sonic and Brody then follow the Eggmobile by hopping after it since they are still tied to the tree trunk.

*Later at Eggman's Lair*

Sonic and Brody are test running around in Eggman's lair while a noise is heard. Eggman is observing with a device and earmuffs on "I see. A classic case of velocity-to-energy ratio incompatibility" Eggman said "But why is it happening now?" Brody asks "It comes with age. Like wisdom. Or nose hair. But not to worry. I have what you need right here" Eggman said and unlocks a compartment in the wall, revealing two pair of shoes "These shoes have Power absorbant insoles. They'll prevent the sound loop that's causing the noise" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody each take a shoe "And best of all: they're machine washable" Eggman said and the duo smell the inside of the shoes "Well, how do We know this isn't another scheme of yours?" Sonic asks "What, you think I am planning a secret blister attack? If you don't want my help you can always walk out of here" Eggman said and takes the shoes back. Sonic and Brody ponder it briefly and they end up putting the shoes on "Okay. Here goes nothing" Sonic said and the two run around the lair with the shoes and no noise appears "Hey! There really was nothing. The noise is gone. Thanks Egghead!" Sonic and Brody said and run away "Don't mention it, buddies" Eggman said.

*Later at the beach around Sonic and Brody's shack*

Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks are playing volleyball. During the game, Sonic and Brody suddenly appear and briefly plays volleyball with each other while everything else moves in slowmotion "Yeah! Sonic and Brody're back baby!" Sonic and Brody said highfiving "Don't refer to yourselves in a third person. Its creepy" Amy said "Wait! No noise! I guess Eggman figured it out" Turbo said "Yeah!" Sonic said and points at his and Brody's shoes "Power-absorbant Insoles" Brody said and they run aorund a little "Eggman actually helped us" Sonic and Brody said when a tremor suddenly starts and a Giant Robot then appears on the scene, punching through the trees "Or it was a part of a trap" Brody said and the two run up to Giant Robot, who starts to sparkle. Sonic and Brody try a spin attack, but Giant Robot blocks it with its shield and makes Sonic and Brody step back to their team with its eye laser. Eggman then shows up in the Eggmobile "Sonic and Brody, I'll like you to meet Giant Robot. I didn't have time to name him because I was too busy planning this trap" Eggman said glaring at Giant Robot, Sonic and Brody run up to it again. As Sonic and Brody run faster, Giant Robots starts glowing red. Giant Robot blocks Sonic and Brody's attacks and strikes a victory pose "My turn" Eggman said and Giant Robot punches Sonic and Brody back, who are caught by Knuckles and Ralph. Sonic, Brody and Amy try attacking Giant Robot, but to no avail as it fires its eye laser. Meanwhile, Tails and Turbo are scanning Giant Robot with a handheld device "It doesn't have a power source. How is that even possible?" Tails asks and Sonic and Brody run around Giant Robot while dodging lasers "That's right, Sonic and Brody. Run. Run!" Eggman said laughing and Tails and Turbo ponder on Eggman's behavior. He then look at Sonic and Brody while run around Giant Robot dodging its laser. Eventually, Sonic and Brody pass by in slowmotion, with their new shoes in focus. Tails and Turbo suddenly have a look of realization on their faces "Sonic, Brody, stop!" Tails and Turbo said and the duo stop next to Tails and Turbo "Your shoes are powering the robot. The faster it moves, the stronger it gets!" Turbo said and Sonic and Brody show a dumbfound expression and looks at their shoes "Oh, sneaky. I wish I had thought of that. Oh, wait, I did" Eggman said "Oh, that's easy to fix" Brody said and he and Sonic try taking their shoes off but cannot despite struggling heavily "Oh, did I forget to mention? They don't come off!" Eggman said "Well, we'll see about that, Eggy" Sonic said and he and Brody kick a coconut tree and a coconut falls down on his and Brody's head. Sonic and Brody stand still for a second "We're not saying it will be easy..." Brody and Sonic said.

Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks are kept at a distance by Giant Robot's laser. Knuckles and Ralph try punching it, but to no effect. Amy, Turbo and Tails are pinned down by its lasers. Sticks throws her Boomerang at Giant Robot, but it deflects it with its shield and Sticks catches her boomerang "If Sonic and Brody aren't not running, why does the robot still have power?" Sticks asks "Because the shoes store the energy he generates! You see..." Eggman said but Amy interrupts "Are we really gonna do the thing where you explain how you did it?" Amy asks "The hardest part was getting that sound to play whenever Sonic and Brody ran" Eggman said and grabs a holoprojector "I have actually prepared a brief presentation that explains the whole brilliant scheme" Eggman said and releases the holo-projector which hovers through midair and starts projecting a diagram. Amy, however, immediately smashes it with her hammer and Eggman hovers up to Amy "Did you know how long it took me to create that presentation? Here, I've prepared a brief presentation that explains it step by step" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody continue to attack Giant Robot with spin attacks, but the robot keeps blocking each attack "If you two could only see yourselves right now. I took your greatest strength and made it into a weakness!" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody launch various attacks to the robot, only have them blocked again. After while, Sonic and Brody stand up and look sadly at their shoes. Defeated. Eggman laughs at them. Sonic and Brody then smile at each other getting an idea and they start running around Giant Robot while Eggman laughs. Giant Robot starts to glow red "Sonic, Brody. This is crazy!" Sticks said "Not it isn't. Its stupid" Knuckles said and while he and Sticks argue, Sonic and Brody run faster and faster around Giant Robot. As it glows more intensely Giant Robot starts to twitch "No. Its... brilliant!" Tails said as Sonic and Brody continue to run faster around the twitching Giant Robot and Eggman taps on his wrist controller "Hey, wait. That's too much. Seriously! Slow down! Its overloading!" Eggman said and Sonic and Brody accelerate to top-speed as they run and Giant Robot's head explodes. Pieces of the robot rains down while its body goes limp. Sonic and Brody stop up in front of the beaten Giant Robot "Ah, now that we're done warming up, Sonic and Brody's gonna go for a run" Sonic and Brody said and they run away "Do you guys think it's creepy when they refers to themselves in the third person?" Eggman asks "Yeah..." Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks said as this chapter comes to an end.
