Third Person's POV

We start in Tails and Turbo's workshop, Turbo and Tails are working in their workshop. Suddenly, Tails' laptop comes online and shows an approaching target "An incoming Eggman attack! Better get the gang together" Tails said and activates his communicator "United Village Defenders of the Village: UNITE!" Tails said "Got it!" Ralph said "On my way!" Amy said "Let's move!" Sticks said "We're on it!" Sonic and Brody said "Eh.. it's really not a good time for me. I kinda have plans" Knuckles said "Wait, what?" Turbo asks "Seriously, Knuckles?" Sonic asks.

At Meh Burger, Sonic and Brody run to Meh Burger where Knuckles is sitting at a table with Mike "What do you mean you have other plans?" Brody asks "I was gonna catch a movie with Mike" Knuckles said "Hi. I'm Mike" Mike said "Uh, yeah, hi. Seriously though we gotta get moving. Eggman's attacking" Sonic said "Aww, but today is the last day of Jungle Fighter 3: Revenge of the Jungle Fighter!" Knuckles said "Jungle Fighter can wait. It is important to battle Eggman" Mike said "Great! See? Let's go!" Sonic said "So, where we going?" Mike asks "Oh, uh... We meant us and Knuckles" Brody said "Why can't he come?" Knuckles asks "Yeah, why can't I come?" Mike asks "You're kidding right? We can't bring you to a battle.. I mean... You're just a guy" Sonic said and the townspeople at Meh Burger gasp "Just a guy?!" The old monkey asks "No! I-I didn't mean that... what I meant to say was... he's not... you know..." Sonic said and crickets chirp "I think you two have said enough already" Knuckles said "Ugh we don't have time for this" Brody said and grabs Knuckles and runs off with him and Sonic.

*At the Desert*

Team Sonic is fighting Badniks while Eggman, Orbot and Cubot fly around in the Eggmobile. Amy smashes one with her hammer and Sticks boomerangs a Bee Bot as Sonic, Brody and Knuckles rush to the scene. Sonic and Brody spin attack two Badniks and Knuckles joins in the fight "I can't believe you two said that to Mike!" Knuckles said "What did he say?" Tails asks "Uh.. battle's over here. guys?" Eggman asks "They called my friend Mike, "Just a guy"" Knuckles said and Amy and Sticks gasp "Sonic! Brody! How could you?!" Amy asks "Could what? Tell the truth? Or do you want us to bring a normal person here and get hurt?!" Sonic asks "Yeah, Sonic and Brody! That's a really crummy thing to say to a dudes" Eggman said "Nobody is asking you for morals!" Brody said and he and Sonic quickly spin attack and smashes all the remaining Badniks "Well, gotta go" Eggman said and flies off with Orbot and Cubot "You know I'm right!" Eggman said "Don't worry Sonic and Brody. This will all blow over. Tomorrow, nobody will even remember what you two said" Tails said.

*The next day at the Village Center*

Soar the Eagle is giving out a news report "It's been 24 hours since Sonic the Hedgehog's infamous "Just a Guy" comment shook the very foundation of our fair village. I'm here now with an angry mob" Soar said and the Old Monkey speaks on Soar's microphone "Sonic and Brody barged in and called Mike "Just a Guy", as if to say they were so much better than the rest of us. We begged them to stop, but they just kept berating the poor fella!" The old monkey said "That's Sonic and Brody! Living it up on the beach. They've lost touch with the common man" A male walrus said and Eggman snatches the microphone off Soar "Can you believe those guys? I mean the nerve of some people" Eggman said.

*At Meh Burger*

"Yeah. Can We get two chili dogs?" Sonic asks "Oh, geez. That sure sounds complicated. Can you really trust me with that order? After all I'm "Just a Guy"?" Dave asks and Sonic and Brody groan.

*Later at Sonic and Brody's shack*

Sonic and Brody are walking around in circles with the rest of Team Sonic sat around a table watching them with miserable looks "All I did was call him a guy! Is that guy not a guy?" Sonic asks "Does he have some secret power? Is he experienced in combat?" Brody asks "It's not what you said, Sonic and Brody. It's how you said it. But, I think the town will forgive you if they see" Amy said and Sonic and Brody fold their arms "you making an effort to change your condescending high-handed appallingly insensitive attitude. Lucky for you, I happen to teach a sensitivity training seminar, every weekday morning 8am to 3pm" Amy said and Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles and Sticks turn to Amy "And there's enough open spots in the class for all of you" Amy said and Tails, Turbo, Ralph, Knuckles and Sticks groan at Amy "Not cool, Sonic and Brody" Knuckles said.

*Later*

At Amy's House, Team Sonic, Fastidious Beaver and Comedy Chimp are making hats out of paper "I still don't get why we have to do all this stupid training just because of Sonic and Brody's big dumb mouths" Knuckles said angrily and a whistle blows. Sonic and Knuckles sit up "Uh-uh-uhh" Amy said and puts her hands on her hips "Insensitive remark. This training's not stupid. Now. How are everyone's sensitivity hats coming along?" Amy asks and Sticks displays her hat. Everyone else looks at theirs. Sonic and Brody groan as they show their hats to Amy. " When you find yourself frustrated, instead of lashing out at someone else, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go to your happy place" Amy said gently "Let's practice that right now" She said and everyone does so. "Now I realize that even though on the outside, I was hitting my sidekick with a mallet. On the inside, I was hitting myself, with a mallet of my own insecurities" Comedy Chimp said and starts crying loudly "It's OK, bro" Knuckles said upset and holds Comedy Chimp's arms "I like to hit things too" Knuckles said and Tails and Sticks have sad looks. Amy sniffs and sheds a tear "Sonic and Brody, what do you care to share with the group?" Amy asks "I don't know. I guess We could be more mindful of people's feelings and stuff?" Sonic asks and Comedy Chimp and Knuckles look at Sonic and Brody with their mouths open "And... maybe We'll go talk to Mike, tell him We're sorry?" Brody asks and everyone awes and show their hands to Sonic and Brody "Alright. Bring it in" Sonic and Brody said annoyed and they gather round and hug Sonic and Brody.

*Later at Meh Burger*

"Listen, Mike. We were wrong to say you're just a guy" Sonic said "And?" Mike asks "And... We'll never do it again?" Brody asks "And?" Mike asks "And... If you want, you're welcome to come with us to the next battle with Eggman" Sonic said "Apology accepted. Can we go now?" Mike asks "Well, no. We have to wait until Eggman launches an attack" Brody said and Mike quickly finishes off his drink "How about now?" Mike asks "No" Sonic said "So... now? Let's go now" Mike said and Sonic and Brody take a deep breath. A beeping sound is heard and Sonic presses a button on his communicator "Incoming attack from Eggman!" Turbo said "OK, now!" Brody said "Hold on a minute" Mike said and Sonic and Brody groan and drags Mike over to the battle.

*Back at the desert*

Sonic, Brody and Mike turn up with the rest of the gang. Eggman appears in his Eggmobile with Orbot and Cubot occupying the side seats. Mike lays a blanket out in the sand and sits down. Team Sonic turn to face him "Behold, my latest invention..." Eggman said and Cubot is ejected out of the seat and lands on Mike's right foot, breaking it. Mike struggles "You gotta be kidding me" Sonic and Brody said.

*Later at the village*

Mike is seen on a wheelchair with bandages around his right foot. Sonic and Brody walk the wheelchair through the village while the villagers watch them "How could you take that fellow to a battle? He's not like you, Sonic and Brody. He's just a guy!" The old monkey said angrily "Seriously? We only took him to battle because of you hypocrites!" Brody said "Yeah you people-" Sonic said and the villagers gasp "You people?!" They ask.

*Back at Amy's house*

Sonic, Brody, Turbo, Tails and Sticks are seen sitting on the couch with their hats on. Sonic and Brody groan "All right. Perhaps our enthusiasm yesterday was a bit premature. As it turns out, some people still have a long way to go in their training" Amy said and Sticks and Tails turn to Sonic and Brody. Sonic and Brody show an annoyed look "But I'm sure that we'll all learn to be compassionate after tomorrow's Sensitivity training camping trip!" Amy said and everyone celebrates except for Sonic and Brody "You know what I think is compassionate?" Brody asks "What?" Amy asks "Saving the village from Eggman; like every week!" Sonic said "But do I get any props for that?" Brody asks "No. Everyone just goes around gasping at me when I call a guy "A Guy", or people "People"!" Sonic said "When it's the truth! Everytime Eggman shows up what do the people do? Run away scared!" Brody said "Sonic, Brody please calm-" Amy said "NO! We quit hero-ing, and We quit this stupid group!" Sonic and Brody said throwing their hats on the floor and walk away. The chameleon watches from a distance, turns around and laughs evilly.

*At the Lightning Bolt Society hideout, day*

"Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf retired?" Willy asks shocked "Yeah. And the rest of his do-gooder friends are going on some lovey-dovey camping trip!" The tree spy said "The town is ours for the taking!" A weasel bandit said "Wait. Didn't we try this before already?" Dave asks "No. That was when Eggman retired. This time, Sonic and Brody are retiring. Totally different thing!" Willy said and as the Lightning Bolts celebrate a Spy Bot records the scene.

*At Eggman's Lair*

Eggman, Orbot and Cubot are watching the footage "Sounds like an opportunity to launch an offensive" Orbot said "Yeah, and you should attack too!" Cubot said "No. If I do that, Sonic and Brody will come out of retirement and fight me! I'll need to bide my time. Wait for just the right moment" Eggman said "Ah. Do nothing at all. It's that kind of evil scheme that keeps you feared around the globe" Orbot said.

*At Seaside Island*

The Chameleon sees Sonic and Brody in their hammock through his binoculars. He turns and looks at the rest of the sensitivity group walking slowly up a hill while wearing their paper hats. He signals to the Weasel Bandits. One of them kicks a trash can into the skip. They give a high five. The skip lid closes. Dave takes the toilet roll out of the holder and turns it the other way, putting it back on the holder, chuckling to himself. In Meh Burger, the Chameleon squeezes a carton of juice into Lady Walrus' glass "But it's already in a juice container. Why dip it in a glass?" Lady Walrus asks upset.

At the Village Center, Willy Walrus guides Mrs. Vandersnout through the village. A few seconds, later he lets go of her and runs away laughing evilly with his hands in the air. Feeling neglected, she looks up at the sky with a shrug and carries on walking. In Meh Burger, "And tomatoes on the side, please" Lady Goat said and Dave puts tomatoes on the Meh Burger before putting the bun on top. He chuckles as he holds the tray. 

*At the Beach*

Four of the villagers look at Sonic and Brody, who are relaxing in their hammock "Sonic and Brody. You have to do something about the Lightning Bolt Society" Lady Walrus said "I don't know. What do you think Brody?" Sonic asks and puts on his sunglasses "Well, if we got an apology and people admit they are just people and Mike is just a guy and be grateful we protect them...maybe" Brody said and puts on his sunglasses "We're sorry! You two were right!" The four villagers said "See? Was that so hard?" Sonic and Brody ask.

*At the Farm*

Sheep are bleating behind a fence. the Lightning Bolt Society arrive at the scene " Well well. Look what we have here. A fence, trying to dictate where we can and cannot go" A weasel bandit said and Willy Walrus picks up a pair of fencing pliers and cuts open the wired fence "Oh yeah. Anarchy baby! Wo-hoo!" Dave said and the group celebrate and hurry inside the farm. Dave smacks a sheep, forcing him to run. All the other sheep are alerted and run through the gap in the fence. The Sheep flock run towards Old Monkey and Lady Goat, who both scream and run away.

The flock of sheep knock a palm tree over. With Chumley sitting on the bench, the tree falls onto the side of the bench, catapulting the baby up in the air "My baby!" Lady Walrus said "Again" She mumbles "Somebody save my Baby!" Lady Walrus said and as the baby falls, Sonic and Brody appear and catch him before he hits the ground. They hand Chumley back to Lady Walrus, who hugs him with glee. "Now this feels like the right moment. They'll never see me coming" Eggman said.

Mrs. Vandersnout is being chased by the sheep until Sonic and Brody take her away to safety. Brody also rescues the Child Monkey hanging from a tree and Stratford while playing with his sandcastles, eventually with the flock running over them all. Brody places Stratford in front of the villagers and runs back, dashing around the flock of sheep in a circle, stalling them in the process. Meanwhile, Eggman arrives in his Eggmobile with Orbot and Cubot and presses a button on the Eggmobile that unleashes a giant hand. The hand lowers towards Sonic and the flock "Sonic! Look out! It's Eggman!" Brody said "Huh?" Sonic asks and notices the hand lowering down on him and turns back, entering the flock of sheep. He ducks down and hides "Oh..." Eggman said and turns the hand upside-down and tries to scoop Sonic up in the air. Instead, it picks up some sheep and tosses them onto his Eggmobile, blinding him, Orbot and Cubot. Sonic gives another sheep a ride on his back and runs. The other sheep follow him. The hand pulls the Eggmobile across the village.

*At the Farm*

The Lightning Bolt Society are lounging inside the fence "What the heck is that?!" Willy asks as Sonic, Brody and the Eggmobile are speeding towards the farm. The hand tries to grab Sonic and Brody again but fails, instead scooping more sheep up onto the Eggmobile "Can't see anything! What is going on?!" Eggman asks and Sonic takes the sheep on his back into behind the fence. He and Brody spin attack the Eggmobile, sending it and the sheep flying. They then spin attack the opening in the fence, fixing it and trapping the Lightning Bolt Society inside. The sheep fall on all the members, one at a time. The villagers celebrate next to Sonic and Brody "We were wrong about you, Sonic and Brody. You are better than us" The old monkey said "Thank you for saving the village, and my baby!" Lady Walrus said and the rest of Team Sonic plus Fastidious and Comedy Chimp arrive at the scene "I knew if we left you two alone long enough, you'd step up and save the day" Amy said "Keep telling yourself that Amy" Sonic said "Oh man. We thought we were the baddest in town, but then Eggman showed up with his claw doodad" Dave said "Look. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but you're just not good at it" The wild cat said "Yeah. Not good at it" The villager mumble "And I suppose you people could do better" Willy said groaning and the villager gasp.

Later at Amy's house, "Let's see those sensitivity hats, boys" Amy said and the Lightning Bolt Society, Tails and Sticks display their hats as this chapter comes to an end.
