Third Person's POV

We start in Eggman's Lair as Eggman was dusting his gadgets "Pretty, pretty, pretty, my toys so full of evil. It warms my stony heart to think of the bad that we'll achieve. Oh, your much fun, Oh, so much fun 'cause I am your creator, from tiny robot pickpockets to my Particle Accelerator? My Particle Accelerator!" Eggman screams "My birds!!" He screams again. "So, Dr. Eggman does this particle accelerator have any distinguishing features that will help us identify it?" The beaver policeman asks "Lets see, it has a small scratch on its left side so there's that and also, it's a Particle Accelerator! You got a lot of those roaming the streets of your village! Hmm, genius? I'm sorry, I'm just so upset!" Eggman said "We've never seen him like this, I kind of like  it" Sonic said as he and Brody eat a chili dog.

In the hallway, "nd this is Dr. Eggman's Thinkcubator, where he hatches his brilliant ideas, get it?" Orbot asks and crickets chirping can be heard "Pearls before swine and it was from here, that Dr. Eggman's Particle Accelerator was stolen" Orbot said and the tourists gasp dramatically "Not his Particle Accelerator, I was hoping to get a picture with it. This tour bites" Mike said "It was about yay big, it was made of polished titanium, it accelerated particles am I leaving anything out?" Eggman asks "Someone wanna remind us why We're here?" Brody asks bored "Because you two stole it!" Eggman said and the tourists gasp dramatically "That's nuts" Sonic and Brody said "If it wasn't you, then why was my lair littered with ... chili dog scraps!?" Eggman asks pointing at scraps of chili dogs on the floor and the tourists gasp dramatically and Sonic and Brody eat a chili dog, leaving only a piece of the bun "We don't know" Sonic said and the two throw the bun piece on the floor and the tourists gasp dramatically "And look at these footprints!" Eggman said pointing at the footprints and the tourists gasp dramatically and the Beaver Policeman looks at Sonic and Brody, footprints lead to where they're sitting. Places Sonic and Brody foots onto the footprints and looks at the bottom of Sonic and Brody's shoes that are an exact match and the tourists gasp dramatically "Would you stop gasping dramatically?" Brody asks and the tourists gasp dramatically again "Seriously guys, We're the heroes" Sonic said "He's the villain, It means he has an evil lair" Brody said gesturing the lair "He has mindless henchmen. No offense" Sonic said "No, I think you're onto something here" Cubot said "Sorry, Doctor Eggman I'd love to close this case but before I can arrest Sonic and Brody I'm gonna need more. Like, if this was part of a pattern" The beaver policeman said and a wolf policeman enters carrying a crate "Sarge what do you want me to put this crate of recent photos of crime scenes, where partial eaten chili dogs and Sonic and Brody-shaped footprints were found?" He asks and the tourists gasp dramatically "That'll do it. Sonic T. Hedgehog and Brody T. Wolf, you two are under arrest you have the right to remain silent" The beaver policeman said and the tourists gasp dramatically and Eggman laughs victoriously "You leave us no choice. We'll find the real thief and clear our names, know why?" Brody asks "Cause we are heroes" Sonic said and the two run off "So uh... who wants to see the Rumpus room?" Orbot asks and the tourists gasp dramatically.

*Later at the Mayor's Mansion*

"I demand action! Sonic and Brody stole my walking stick!" A gentleman wolf said "And MY jewelry!" Lady Walrus said "They stole my keys and hid them in my sofa cushion. Okay, I lost my keys and found them three days later in the cushion. We should get them anyway!" The Fennec garbage man said "We should totally form a posse" Dave said "Everyone, please! Calm down! This is not the time for rash behavior" Mayor Fink said "When would be a good time? I'd like to plan my rash behavior in advance" Soar said "How about I bake up a batch of my famous cookies and put them on the window sill? Sonic and Brody would smell them and come to steal one, but they won't know that they're laced with poison, so..." Vandersnout said  "We're not trying to kill them" Mayor Fink said "Oh. I'm so embarrassed. Have a cookie" Vandersnout said chuckling and Mayor Fink covers his ears as Knuckles grinds the chalkboard with his fingers "I'll catch this hedgehog and wolf for ya! But it ain't gonna be easy!" Knuckles said "Don't worry. We'll ALL pitch in!" Mayor Fink said "No! Like tying my shoes or brushing my teeth, I have to do this without any help" Knuckles said and marches his way out, but struggles to open the door "You have to pull AND jiggle the knob" Mayor Fink said "I am pulling and jiggling" Knuckles said and still cannot open the door "I'll use the window" He said and jumps off the window and lands on his face. The door creaks open.

*Meanwhile in a different village*

Sonic and Brody quickly transfer crates to the shed "Whoa! Slow down there, Bob. You're making the rest of us look bad" Earl said and bells ring "Sorry, Earl. Just trying to finish so We can knock off early" Sonic said "Big plan tonight? Not like there's much to do around here except playing horseshoes" Earl said and a horseshoe hits Earl in the head "Whoops. Sorry, Earl" A coworker said "We're on the trail of two men that did us wrong" Brody said "That so? You know, a fella just came through town. In a real hurry, too. Heading toward the East Forest, yonder. Well, them crates ain't gonna stack themselves. Unless they're self-stacking crates. Heh. That'd be sweet" Earl said and a horseshoe hits Earl on the head, again. This time, Earl passes out "Sorry, Earl!" The coworker said "Earl? EARL?!" Sonic and Brody ask.

*Later at the East Forest*

"Phew" Knuckles said and finds a twig "Hmm" Knuckles said and sniffs the twig and licks it "Mm-hmm. Sonic and Brody were here" Knuckles said and hears a creak from the distance. A few citizens appear behind Knuckles. Knuckles gets surprised "Aww, how did you track me?" Knuckles asks "We followed the trail of twigs covered in spit" Soar said and Knuckles sees the spit-filled twig "Aww, stop following me. I don't need help!" Knuckles said and begins to sink into quicksand "This is a shortcut" Knuckles said.

*Meanwhile at Doc's Office*

Doc is inspecting on Earl, who has already passed out "What is it, Doc?" Brody asks "Well, the scientific term is he got hit in the head with too many horseshoes" Doc said "You gotta help him!" Sonic said "Oh, sure. Let me just... whip up some Anti-Horseshoe Elixir" Doc said "Hey if you can't help him, just say so" Brody said "No, seriously. I've got a recipe for Anti-Horseshoe Elixir. I just need some pink orchid root. It only grows in the West Forest" Doc said "Oh. I don't suppose it's anywhere near the East Forest" Sonic said and Doc walks away "If We're gonna catch the guy who framed us, We gotta go East. But if We're gonna help you, We gotta go West" Sonic said. "Excuse me, ma'am. I'm looking for this guy. Goes by the names Sonic and Brody. And they're very fast" Knuckles said and Sonic and Brody run by Knuckles very fast "Kinda like those guys" Knuckles said and Sonic and Brody continue running "Hey, wait a second. I bet those guys know Sonic and Brody!" Knuckles said and runs off.

*Later at West Forest*

Sonic and Brody find the orchid "Found a pink orchid! Well, that was easy! I was expecting some kind of complication" Sonic said and his and Brody's heads gets covered by a wooden basket "Kinda like that. Knuckles, is that you?" Brody asks "Maybe it is, maybe it ISN'T. But it is. Whose this?" Knuckles asks "Sonic and Brody" Sonic and Brody said "Oh, sorry. I didn't recognize you two with a basket on your head" Knuckles said "Dude, We didn't steal anything!" Sonic said "I know, but there's a whole posse on your tails. I don't want to lose you. You two are a valuable member of Team Knuckles!" Knuckles said "Team Kn... I'm not even gonna argue. Let's get this orchid to Earl" Brody said "Right! Just one question. Who's Earl? What's an orchid? And... and where are we?" Knuckles asks.

*Back at the different village*

"Here ya go, Doc. Are We too late?" Sonic asks "Don't worry, Bob. I'll fix up Earl newer than a summer cricket whistling on a fallen dewdrop. Know what I mean?" Knuckles asks "Not at all, but we got no time to waste. Come on, Knuckles" Brody said and he, Knuckles and Sonic are stopped by the posse "Hey. I know those guys from somewhere" Knuckles said "There goes Sonic and Brody! And they're taking Knuckles hostage!" Mayor Fink said and gets hits in the head by a horseshoe, and passes out and the posse gasp dramatically "Sorry!" A coworker said.

*Later at the East Forest*

Sonic, Brody and Knuckles find a secret hideout "Look, Sonic and Brody. It's you!" Knuckles said as two shadows of what appear to be Sonic and Brody dash off "Where'd they go?" Sonic asks. Suddenly, Metal Sonic and Metal Brody appear "Metal Sonic and Metal Brody!" Sonic and Brody said "Allow me!" Knuckles said and beats up Metal Sonic and Metal Brody, but only nudging them. Metal Sonic and Metal Brody's lasers begin to fire "Oh, that can't be good" Brody said and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody's lasers energize "Knux, look out!" Sonic said and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody blast their lasers at Knuckles with Sonic and Brody behind him, and Knuckles hits a tree "My cupcake per-nithing, Grandma" Knuckles said and chuckles and passes out "You're gonna regret that!" Sonic and Brody said and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody shoot their lasers on the wall of their hideout, but Sonic and Brody still survive. Suddenly the hideout is about to fall on Sonic and Brody "Uh oh" Sonic and Brody said as a portion of the hideout falls on Sonic and Brody. Sonic and Brody then pop out of the debris and dodge Metal Sonic and Metal Brody's attacks. Metal Sonic and Metal Brody's lasers go dead "Don't you just hate it when that happens?" Brody asks and they then attack Metal Sonic and Metal Brody by Spin Dashing on them "We can do this all day" Sonic said and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody then pick up the Particle Accelerator "Eggman's Particle Accelerator? Well that's just cheating. How do you live with yourselves?" Sonic and Brody ask and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody begin to levitate while a purple aura envelopes them "Uh oh again" Sonic and Brody said and then they run away while dodging Metal Sonic and Metal Brody's laser blasts, until they get to their home.

*At Sonic and Brody's shack*

Sonic and Brody stop running and run out of breath "I guess when you get tired, you can just recharge. That's the difference between you two and us, Metals. We don't get tired!" Sonic said and he and Brody throw each a horseshoe at Metal Sonic and Metal Brody, causing a reaction to the Particle Accelerator and blasts Metal Sonic and Metal Brody away "Sorry!" Sonic and Brody said as Metal Sonic and Metal Brody get blasted away as the Particle Accelerator powers down.

Later at the Village Center, Sonic and Brody run to the Mayor's Mansion "We got a little something for you, Eggy. We found your Particle Accelerator. And all the stuff that was stolen from the village and brought it back, which proves We didn't steal anything. Case closed" Sonic said "He's got you there, Egghead!" Knuckles said "Case NOT closed! You got it. Therefore, you two must've stolen it! Now case closed!" Eggman said "He's got you there, Sonic and Brody" Knuckles said "Officer, arrest this men!" Eggman said and Metal Sonic and Metal Brody return, but in the hands of Earl "Bob!" Earl said "Earl?" Sonic and Brody ask "These parts landed by the warehouse, and I thought you might need 'em" Earl said "That's the REAL thief" Sonic said and the Beaver Policeman begins to arrest Earl "Not him! Our robot duplicate that Eggman used to frame us!" Brody said "All lies! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll take my metal duplicate of you two, suitable for framing, and my particle accelerator. And go" Eggman said "Thanks, Earl" Sonic and Brody said "It's the least I can do after you saved my life! I was deader than a peapod in a mud-bucket tea kettle after flippity-hoodledoop flazzerbattle" Earl said and a horseshoe hits Earl on the head. Sonic, Brody and Knuckles begin to laugh.

In the wilderness at night, "We're closing in on them, boys! And we're not leaving this forest without them!" Mayor Fink said and a wolf howls "Or we could go home now" Mayor Fink said as this chapter comes to an end.
