Years Later... Past?
"Captain!"
A pair of green eyes glanced back as a brown haired female came over.
"Yes?"
"Someone spooked a group of fire types and a fire started. What should we do?" The owner of the eyes sighed.
"I'll go investigate and hopefully take care of it. Have the medic be ready to go out. If I'm not back in an hour, go after me." The female nodded.
"Yes captain!" The captain smiled as they went out.

A blur of green raced through the air as it neared a fire. It skidded to a stop as a green haired male looked at it.
"Is anyone in there!?" Silence greeted him as he gulped. He turned to the water pokemon he had grabbed. "Go for it." They nodded as they started putting out the fire. A scream followed as the flames started dying down.
"HELP!" He froze as he looked up at his fellow partner, Ferrow. It flew towards the sound as he focused on the fire. He noticed a small pokemon circled by fire. He went over and got it out. A small Plusle. He paused as Ferrow flew down. It glanced at him, notifying him of the damage.
"Ferrow... hold onto this little one until we get back." It nodded before taking the smaller pokemon. He gulped before running off towards the next fire source.
~!_!~
It was worse than the last one. This time, people were trapped and there were violent pokemon. He gulped as he pulled out his styler and placed the disc inside.
"CAPTURE ON!"
~!_!~
The base was silent as they waited for their base leader. The female looked at her watch. An hour passed. She stood up.
"Hour's up! Let's go!"
~!_!~
They arrived at the scene as a group of people got out. One person noticed and stopped by the group.
"Please tell me you're here about the fire!" A male ranger knelt down and smiled.
"We're here to assist the ranger here, yes. Why?" The kid gulped.
"He was damaged by one of the raging pokemon back there. He told us to go and get to safety while he tried to clear up the mess. We heard him scream in pain as we were leaving." The male ranger gulped.
"Thank you for the information. You continue home and we'll go see how he is, ok?" The kid nodded before the group of kids ran off. The ranger group gulped as they ran towards the back.
~!_!~
They got to the back in enough time to save the ranger from a Blaziken's attacks. They finished the job while the medic checked him. The group gathered around as she sighed.
"He's ok for the most part. But he needs medical attention now. I can do a proper heal on him once we get back." One of the younger rangers nodded.
"Alright everyone! Let's do this!"
~!_!~
The green haired male groaned as he opened his eyes and looked around. His room. Great... another uncompleted mission. He sighed as he slowly sat up. He was shocked no one has noticed him having problems up at the union. Or maybe that was because they didn't know who to send. He stood up and gulped as he looked in the mirror. He didn't look too bad from the attack, so at least that was good. He went out to where the others were. He smiled as they stood up.
"I'm going to presume that the scene was cleaned up?" The other rangers nodded as he smiled. "Good. Mission cleared. Thanks for the help." They nodded as they went to relax. He sighed before sitting down. The medic sat down beside him.
"If you're lucky, the Ranger Union might finally hear about this." He hummed.
"Hopefully. Probably won't even hit the paper." He smiled at her. "But we can only hope." She nodded as one of the younger rangers went over.
"Captain... two things. One, the Plusle you had Ferrow hold onto has recovered." He smiled at the fact. "And two, this was in the mail for you." He paused before taking the letter.
"Thank you." She nodded before walking away. He went to open it when the medic took it.
"Let's try to not give you a papercut, shall we?" He frowned lightly as she opened it and placed it in front of him. He paused at it.
"Dear Ringtown Base Leader Sage,
I don't know if you remember me, but I hope you do.
My name is Lapis Go. We used to live together in Lathinia of the Kithicor Sector before you got accepted into the Ranger School. We were part of the Angels of Nightwater together and lived in the Echo Garde Queshag.
It's fine if you don't remember me. Just... please listen.
I really want to join you and be a ranger. But I don't have a chance because my father won't allow me to join and nothing I do will change that fact.
So... I was wondering if you could help me become a ranger. It's way past the deadline for me to enter the school and my father will pull me out if I try to get in. So can you please help me find a way into the rangers? I would appreciate it if you could!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
~Lapis"
Sage paused as he rescanned over the letter.
"Lapis... the name rings a bell... but I can't imagine the kid... but they certainly know me." The medic glanced at it.
"Sounds like that kid has a dream that is a war to achieve." She smiled. "I bet if you contact the Chairperson, she could get a solution to solve this problem." Sage nodded.
"I'll do it later. Right now I'm going to relax then reach out."
