Chapter 13
A/N: I'll be writing from the third person starting now, as it's easier for me to write when I'm a bit distant from the characters, plus it's easier for some more reasons.
(Y/N) nodded. "I think that will be possible," she smiled.
Sally's nervous look shifted in a large smile. "R-really?"
She nodded again. "Yep."
Sally jumped up, twirling around happily. "So will you take me with you? So I can leave my evil twin sister?" she asked exitedly.
(Y/N) hestitated for a bit. "I don't know, I don't have much money, so I don't know if I'll be able to support you..."
"Oh, that's no problem! I have quite a lot, which my dad left me, but you can have all of it!"
"Doesn't Rachel need any of it?"
"No, our dad gave everything to me, as he loves me much more than her. That's why she doesn't want to look like him and-"
Suddenly, she was interrupted by the door slamming open. In the opening was another girl, who (Y/N) assumed to be Rachel. Her short, boy-ish hair was painted a dark purple, just like her lips, she was wearing quite a bit of dark makeup, her black t-shirt and jeans were ripped, and her army boots were quite dirty, but her most prominent feature were her eyes, in which she was wearing red lenses. She appeared to be crying, as there were tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Leave this place immediately," she said strictly to Sally, "and never, ever come back."
Sally jumped up. "You don't own me, we're equals. And besides, I can't allow you to hurt any more people."
"Do you even know how hard I've worked for all of this? You had an easy life. You were accepted by everyone, you had so many friends, everyone adored you, while I was shunned and bullied my entire life. And when papa died, you got all of his possesions, while I got nothing, just for being the way I am. This... This research facility is all I ever had. It's the key to unlocking the mystery of why some people are born with these crazy powers, while others, like us, have nothing. Don't you understand how important this is?"
"It's not like you couldn't have made friends, you always had to be studying by your own."
"That's because I wasn't gifted with your huge intellect! I had to be working hard to catch up with you, while you always got the best grades by reading the stuff we had to learn once," she pinched the bridge of her nose, trying not to freak out completely. "Ugh... Just leave me alone, get out of here. I built this, you have no right for it."
Sally looked away. "Fine. But I will take one of the subjects with me, no matter what you do."
Rachel sighed. "Okay then, but only one. The rest is to stay here to be experimented on, and you'll leave everything you own in here. You can take your phone, and enough food and water for two days, but not for her," she pointed at (Y/N), "she will have to find her own food." She remained quiet for a second. "For the rest," she continued, "you can take your wallet, but your laptop stays here with me, I need some of the documents and programs on it."
"And what about a map? This location is very far away from civilisation," asked Sally, looking a bit nervous to ask for more.
"Are you crazy? I've already allowed you to go, and even take your little friend, but that's it. Toy could stay here as well, so you can keep all your stuff, but you would have to watch her die."
"I-I'll go, and take (Y/N) with me!" Sally shrieked, too afraid to do anything else but agreeing with her sister. "I agree with all of your demands, and will take my leave shortly."
"Yeah, yeah, just hurry up already," she looked incredibly frustrated, but walked away, although her shoulders were a bit slumped.
"Let's get you out of here," Sally released (Y/N), and helped her stand. Due to the fact that she had been sitting for such a long time, her muscles were a bit weakened, but she managed to stand.
Sally carefully pulled her along through an incredibly dark set of corridors, meanwhile grabbing the items she needed, until they reached the outside world. And both of them instantly knew: They had no idea where the hell they were.
Well, I'm finally done with this damn chapter. It took me a while (a long while), but I hope it turned out okay.
I hope y'all liked this, I know it was pretty bad, but I just wanted to shit out a new chapter (not literally).
Anyways, I'm going to sleep now, it's pretty late here.
Bye!
