Chapter 12
"Hey (Y/N), wake up!" you suddenly heard a voice shout.
Slowly, your eyes opened. You blinked a few times, due to the intense light coming from... Well, everywhere. It looked like you'd suddenly appeared in some sort of lightbulb.
You tried to move your hands in front of your eyes, but was unable to, due to you being strapped up in a straitjacket, for some reason.
"Oh, lemme turn that down for ya!" the voice shouted again. Seriously, couldn't they talk normally? You had an enourmous headache, and this yelling wasn't making it any better.
The light dimmed, until you could see a black figure, not far away from you. The room was still very bright, so you still couldn't see any features at all.
"Good! You're awake! You did take a bit longer than the earlier ones, but I guess you're just weak" the figure shrugged. "By the way, I'm Rachel. I would tell you my evil plan, but I'm not completely stupid. What would be the point of that? All those movie villains do that, and it always leads to their demise. Ugh, so dumb." The person - a female - seemed slightly annoyed. "I would tell you my motivation as well, but actually... I have no reason for that. Guess I was bored." She shrugged again.
You tried to speak, but she put her finger on your lips. "Uh-uh, no speaking until you've proven you're a good girl." She turned around, seemingly searching for something. "Now where did I put my water? She remained silent for a few seconds. "Oh right! In the observation room! I'm so stupid!"
She walked to a wall, pushing something, and then disappeared through a door. You could see a quick glimpse of a dark corridor, but it closed again.
Softly, you heard a voice: "Sally! Come here, you piece of shit! Watch over (Y/N), she might try to escape! Also, go make sure she looks good!"
There was some incomprehensible mumbling, and the door opened again.
This time, another person walked in, but she seemed much more shy than Rachel. Whereas the girl you met earlier walked around like she owned the place - which she probably did - and spoke loud and clearly, this girl constantly looked at the ground, and most of her speech was said in soft stutters - if she even spoke at all.
"H-hi" she whispered. "I'm S-Sally"
You just stared at her for a while, before being forced to close your eyes again due to the light in the room.
"O-oh, I'll turn that down f-for a bit" the girl softly spoke, before walking off to a control pannel that you hadn't even seen before.
The light dimmed, making you able to see again.
Finally, you could see what the girl looked like. She had long, red hair, that reached until the bottom of her back. Her clothes consited of a simple, black dress, that suited her figure perfectly, and some simple sneakers. But her most beautiful feature were her eyes. They were bright green, and they looked really good with everything about her.
She turned her head as she dodged your curious stare. "I-I'm sorry, but could you please not stare at me that way? It m-makes me uncomfortable..." she whispered, blushing.
You turned your eyes away from her, not wanting to risk annoying your captors.
"H-hey (Y/N), I'm going to come close to you, Rachel told me to... p-prepare you"
You slightly nodded, and she appeared in front of you. Slowly, she knelt down behind you, taking something out of a bag in her left hand.
It turned out to be just a brush, with which she started brushing your hair carefully.
"T-tell me if it hurts" she mumbled. "O-oh, you're allowed to talk with me. Rachel j-just doesn't like it when her p-prisoners talk to her, but I don't mind"
"What is this place?" you immediately asked.
Sally remained silent for a second. "It's a... Reseach facility, for extraordinary humans. We... do experiments"
"What kind of experiments?" you asked, alarmed.
"D-depends on the person... But if Rachel or I tell the reaserchers t-the person doesn't deserve to be treated badly, y-you will be able to go home"
"And... could you do that for me?" you turned your head to meet her gaze, but she turned away quickly.
"W-well, I could, but I would like something small from you first..." she stood up, moving her hands nervously.
"What would you want from me?" you thought you would do almost anything, just to get out of there. But then you remembered Sonic, and immediately asked: "Will you free Sonic as well?"
"W-we didn't catch him. He wasn't born w-with his powers, he got them through training... H-he isn't special to us, s-sorry..."
You nodded, glad that he was okay. "Then what do you want?"
She knelt down in front of you, knowing she wouldn't be able to say what she desired.
Carefully, she took your left arm and pointed at an old friendship bracelet someone gave you years ago, careful not to damage it.
"I... I'd just like to have a friend..." she said in a soft whisper.
