Chapter 27 Cold Getaway... Again
THANK YOU WHOEVER CREATED THAT FOR THIS LITTLE PIECE OF CISCO AWESOMENESS!
Also... LANGUAGE AGENT HILL AND SAM!
*coughs awkwardly* So... uh... I'm really glad this is fanfiction because if it was meant to have fact I would be very embarrassed. I just did a search on Central City... and it's in Missouri... not New York. AS OF THIS BOOK IT IS IN NEW YORK! There. Problem solved. Next time I need to do better research.

Iris stared at me. "What is it? You sound familiar."
"The Flash and I... aren't... siblings," I said. Why am I doing this? This isn't smart. "We aren't even related."
Iris frowned, apparently noticing my hesitance. "You're going to tell me who you are aren't you?"
I grimaced. "Only if you promise to not tell anyone."
She was starting to look excited now. "I promise I won't."
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "Tony," I murmured. "Deactivate the hood and mask... just them."
"Uh oh," Tony said. "You're not sounding all weird and... you know, vibratey. Are you doing something stupid?"
"Just do it."
I felt my masked hood fold up. I opened my eyes and looked up at Iris. She looked shocked as she took a couple steps forward.
"Skye?!" she asked.
I forced a smile. "Surprise!" I said without much enthusiasm.
Iris did something I hadn't expected at all. She gave me a hug. I paused before I wrapped my arms awkwardly around her.
"Why did you tell me?" she asked after a moment, pulling away.
"Because I'm terrible with secrets," I said honestly.
Iris grinned. "Will you tell me who Flash is?"
"No. That isn't for me to tell."
She sighed and looked me up and down. "I would invite you to join us with Eddie, but-"
"I'll join you," I said. I slapped my bracelets together, making my suit roll up. "Lets go."
Iris led me to Eddie's hospital room. Barry looked over at us with a smile when we entered. "Hey sis," he said.
Iris looked from me to Barry, but didn't say anything.
Joe raised an eyebrow at Iris. "You forgot your coffee."
"Skye, sleep," Bucky ordered.
"No! I don't need to!" I objected with a laugh, trying to push him away.
Bucky grabbed my wrists in exasperation. "Come on! You went to bed at midnight and got up at six. You need more sleep then that!"
Bucky had spent the night on my couch. He'd been there when I'd arrived the previous night and I hadn't had the heart to wake him up, even though he had apparently been awake. He'd gotten after me about getting more sleep when I started looking for breakfast.
"Let me get food!" I said.
"Nope."
"Yes."
"No."
"Please?"
Bucky rolled his eyes. "What part of no don't you understand?" he sighed.
"The part that isn't in binary." I shot out of his arms reach and grabbed a box of donuts.
He stopped in confusion, just like I knew he would. "In what?"
"See ya!" I called, shooting out my apartment door.
Note to self, don't let Bucky sleep on my couch. I reached S.T.A.R. Labs to find the doors unlocked. I was certain nobody had forgotten to lock them.
I pushed the door open and stepped through carefully. Nothing inside the Cortex was out of the ordinary and all of the hallways were empty as far as I could tell. After I'd checked everywhere but the pipeline, I relaxed and returned to my desk to eat my donuts.
I had finished one of them when I heard an electric hum. I looked up to see Dr. Wells driving his wheelchair into the Cortex.
He smiled at me. "Hello Skye. You're up early today."
There was something about his voice that made me think he was hiding something. "I'm always up early."
"Yes, but it's a Saturday."
I paused and glanced at my computer. "Is it? How did I not know that?"
Dr. Wells shook his head at me with a small smile. "Well, Barry should be here soon. I shouldn't be surprised you came."
Almost as soon as Dr. Wells finished speaking, Barry shot into the room. "Aaaaayyyy! Where's Cisco and Bucky?"
"They're probably on their way. Bucky was trying to make me sleep more." I quickly ate all of my donuts before Barry saw them.
After several minutes Bucky stomped into the room. He gave me an annoyed look as he sat down in the chair behind me. He looked over at Barry. "What's binary?"
Barry paused in surprise, then started laughing. "Ask Cisco. He'll give you a better explanation."
"Yes I know, that's why I'm asking you," Bucky said.
Cisco entered as soon as Barry started his overly simplified explanation of binary. Oddly enough, Cisco was wearing a shirt that read, "There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary, and those who don't."
"Nice shirt Gizmo," I said, quickly interpreting the '10' as the binary equivalent for '2'.
He grinned at me. "Thanks. I have another one that's got a math problem on it that means 'I ate pie, and it was delicious'. I almost wore that one." He sat down at the half circle desk and turned on his computer.
Almost as soon as Cisco's computer had stopped making the humming sound signalling that it was turning on Cisco turned pale. " Uh... guys... we have a problem."
Barry stopped telling Bucky about binary and looked at Cisco. "What is it man?"
"Captain Cold is robbing a jewelry store," Cisco said.
Barry and I frowned. "Isn't that a little cliche even for him?" we asked at the same time.
Bucky gave us an amused smile. "It might actually be a better idea if you left now."
Barry and I shared a quick grin before we both sped away. I activated my suit as I ran, but Barry had to turn around to get his.
I leaped onto the hood of a car the same shade of green as my lightning and jumped from car to car, simply because I had all the time in the world.
I saw a white flicker of light out of the corner of my eye. Another person was running along the sidewalk. She vaulted onto a car without breaking stride. I couldn't help but notice her brown hair flying free, she didn't have a mask, her suit was a shimmering silver, and she was following me.
I hoped she was on our side as I turned onto main street and shot into the jewelry store. Barry was close behind me and the silver speedster stopped just outside, looking uncertain.
Cold pointed his gun at me and I dodged. I almost crashed into the wall from a sudden burst of speed. I stopped and looked at Barry.
He shouted something at me, probably telling me to focus or dodge or something like that. Based on the fact that the silver speedster dove in front of me it was probably dodge.
The silver speedster screeched and flew back. She would have hit me if I hadn't moved.
I knelt next to her. The whole front of her suit was covered in ice. She grinned at me in spite of it. "Hey Skye," she said, her voice shaking from the shivers. "You miss me?"
I tilted my head. I couldn't remember where I'd seen her before. "You can explain to me exactly where I met you when we get you thawed out and back at the lab."
Barry stepped up next to me. "He got away," he told me, then looked down at the girl in front of me. "Hey Prongs. See you at S.T.A.R. sis."
He ran off. I rolled my eyes and picked up the silver speedster. I ran after him and into the Cortex.
Almost as soon as I'd stopped, set down the girl, and gotten my suit deactivated, Cisco looked at me. "She's back."
I sighed. "Come on Barry. We'll walk."
Barry nodded, he was already out of his suit.
We walked side by side through the hallways.
"So what was that weird look you gave me for?" he asked.
"I started moving faster," I said.
He raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure it wasn't just adrenaline?"
"Of course I'm sure. I've never almost hit a wall since the first time I used my speed."
"But it could have been-" Barry sighed in defeat. "It really couldn't have been anything else..."
"I told you so." I pushed open the door to the garage.
"Fine, you win." He walked into the garage with me behind him and looked at the two girls in black suits in front of us. He blinked in surprise. "Who are you?"
He shot me a look that clearly meant 'I thought you said there was only one!' I shrugged. Maybe they were twins.
"I was happy to be your guardian angel for a few days!" the one I recognized said brightly.
"But we have to go now," the other one said.
I got the feeling they had rehearsed what they were going to say when they both said, "Have fun being faster!" before they both shot away.
I gave Barry a confused look. "That was so confusing."
"Yeah, your expression kind of gave that away," Barry said.
There was a whoosh and flash of white light. The silver speedster lounged on the hood of a S.T.A.R. Labs van. "I have some explaining to do," she said with a broad grin. "Allens stick together right?"

IT'S ME! Well, sort of. If you hadn't figured it out the silver speedster is me, Prongs the Speedster. Also known as Prongs Allen. Ta-daaaa... nobody really cares. Don't ask. I wanted to join my siblings.
If you have ANY characters you want me to add just let me know and I'll get them in somehow.
May the speed force be with you! (that's way better than the 'may the wind blow strong in your sails' one)
