   "Come on Barry," I said, resisting the urge to roll my eyes. "You're running at the speed I was jogging before the lightning."

   I rubbed the vibranium cross. I still didn't know what it did, I hadn't bothered to follow the instructions that had been laying outside S.T.A.R. Labs in an envelope that morning.

   "He runs slow even for a normal person," Cisco murmured.

   Barry's frustration was clear as he skipped off the treadmill. Cisco flipped a switch and the treadmill hummed to a stop.

   Barry sighed and grabbed his jacket on the way to the door. "I'll see you all later," he said with a dejected tone.

   I watched him go, his bad mood merging with mine. I walked over to my desk and put my black boots back on. I'd worn them in, but taken them off to watch Barry.

   Cisco and I had the lab to ourselves. Caitlin was taking the day off to visit her family, Dr. Wells was also taking the day off, Aiden had boarded a plane to Chicago at two o'clock that morning, Barry was now headed to the police station, and Buck never got up before eight.

   "We've got about two hours to kill," I said, lounging in my office chair. "Buck likely won't get here before nine. What should we do?"

   R2 beeped and spun around in a circle.

   I gave him a reproachful look. "No we aren't going to turn the lab into a merry-go-round."

   R2's little arms dropped and he wheeled away, making an annoyed whirring.

   Cisco unwrapped a sucker and grinned at R2. "I could send you all across town to get me stuff."

   "Yeah, no. I don't like that idea. Try again." I opened the security cameras on my computer and played security guard.

   Cisco laughed. "I thought of a name for the lighting guy."

   "Hmm?" I glanced up from the screen in time to see a disc fly off the table. I shot up, caught it, and put it back on his desk before sitting down again. "What the heck Cisco?"

   Cisco smiled sheepishly. "Sorry. Just experimenting. We can call him Blackout."

    I stopped at the camera looking into the garage. "Cisco, we have a little girl dressed in black standing in the middle of our garage."

   Cisco frowned and removed the sucker from his mouth. "How did she get in? All the doors but the one out front are locked."

   "Or were. Maybe she unlocked them somehow." I studied the screen. The girl was just standing there, like she was waiting for something. "Is this a Spark worthy job?"

   Cisco nodded and put the sucker back in his mouth. "I think sho. Use the stuff you got for Christmas."

   I glanced at the paper sitting on my desk that explained how to use the bracelets, but not what they did. The necklace would get activated after the bracelets started.

   I tapped the bracelets together. There was a clicking sound. The bracelets stayed silver, they didn't grow, but thin black fabric started unrolling up my arms. My hands became covered with a shining black armor. It was flexible and hard at the same time.

   The necklace also started making the armor. When the black armor reached my boots it rolled down a little further inside them, then stopped. A masked hood, like the one on my other suit, made itself around my head.

   The bracelets were still visible, as was the cross necklace, shining brightly against the solid black. A white circle with a shimmering green fire symbol in the center. I guessed 

   A broad grin spread across my face. Cisco looked shocked. "What- how- Who made that?"

   "Tony Stark." My grin grew as I studied my new armor.

   Cisco narrowed his eyes. "So did you forget what you put that on for?"

   "Right." I stopped admiring Tony's handiwork and shot out the door into the garage.

    The girl stood right where she'd been in the camera. She didn't even jump when I stopped in a flash of green lightning. She just looked at me calmly. Like she'd seen me enter and stop, which should have been impossible unless she was just as fast as me.

   "You need to be ready tonight," the girl said. "Blackout is coming."

   "Blackout is- Wait. How did you know that's what we call him? Cisco just said that." I wasn't sure how much more knot-tying my brain could handle.

   The girl smiled. "I know. I heard."

   I frowned. "How?"

   "Also, you should tell Barry that his speed will come back."

   That really made me confused. "How do you know Barry?"

   "I don't. See you around Spark, or should I say, Skye?" The girl grinned and ran off.

   I blinked. She'd run almost as fast as Barry and I could. Who was that weird girl?

   "How's the suit working for you?"

   I almost leaped out of my skin at Tony's voice coming through the right side of my hood. "Are you kidding me Tony? You're going to give me a heart attack."

   "Uh, no," Tony said, I could picture him pouring a glass of something alcoholic. "You're to young to get a heart attack. If this was Barton now, that would be a different story."

   I snorted. "Indeed it would. That's pretty obvious. Still standing with the Accords?"

   "Let's not bring that up. I'm trying so hard to be on your side."

   "Fine then. I was just about to deactivate the suit. I'm guessing I'll use it again tonight. Is there a way to wirelessly make it faster?"

   "I'll look into that as soon as I can."

   "Thanks."

   "I would say anytime, but-"

   "Shut it Shellhead. I'm late."

   "Ha ha. So funny."

   I clicked the bracelets together and the armor started to roll up again. I started walking back toward the Cortex. Cisco would want to know what had happened.
