The bell rings and Will has his kids sit down in the choir room. "Everyone please sit down." He says.
The kids take their seats and see Holly standing by the piano.
Will smiles. "Alright, so guys, we are going to Nationals!" He yells and the glee kids cheer. "But we have to find a way to pay for it and I know just how we're going to do it."
Violet buries her face in her hands. "Please not another bake sale."
Holly smiles. "This was my idea."
Rachel looks confused. "Well what is it?" She asks.
"A Night of Neglect." Holly answers.
"Is that like a funeral?" Finn asks.
Charlie shakes his head. "I have no idea how you managed to make it to junior year."
"No." Will says.
"We'll be putting on a concert where you guys will be performing songs by neglected artists." Will explains.
Rachel claps. "I LOVE this idea!"
Violet smiles and raises her hand. "Mr. Shue? I know that we're supposed to perform songs, but I wanna do a dance duet with Mike. We haven't really gotten the chance to dance all year long." She says.
Mike perks up at his name being mentioned.
Will smiles. "Go for it Violet. Oh, and tell Kurt and Blaine about the concert." He says.
Violet smirks.
"I'm on it faster than a dog chasing a cat."

Violet stops at her locker and pulls out her phone, texting Kurt and Blaine in a group chat she has with them.
To Lover and Blainey Days: You guys are invited to our Night of Neglect concert! Everyone's going to be performing songs by neglected artists, and I'm going to be dancing with Mike!
Violet smiles as she sees Blaine's reply.
From Blainey Days: Sounds cool! When and where?
To Lover and Blainey Days: McKinley auditorium. 7 pm. Thursday. It's to help us raise money for our tickets to Nationals.
Violet smiles wider when she sees Kurt's reply.
From Lover: We'll be there! Is there a dress code?
To Lover and Blainey Days: Dress semi-formally. Thank God Mr. Shue didn't suggest another bake sale lol
From Blainey Days: See you there!

Throughout the week, Violet and Mike rehearse for their big dance number. They've chosen their song and their costumes.
Things don't help when Jesse St. James walks into the choir room while they're trying to rehearse.
"That choreography is so 2009." Jesse states.
Mike pauses the song and glares at Jesse. "Why're you here?" He asks.
Jesse smirks. "I heard about your little concert, and thought I could offer my services as former lead singer to Vocal Adrenaline."
Violet walks in between her friends. "The last time you said that, you egged Rachel in the parking lot after you broke up with her."
Jesse looks genuinely hurt. "I know. But I'm better now. And I won't egg anyone else." He says.
"I don't trust you. Now if you'll excuse us, we're trying to rehearse our dance number." Mike says, pulling Violet close to him, as if he was her protective older brother.
Jesse looks at Violet. "Violet, you know me. You know when I'm lying. Do you think I'm lying?"
Violet sighs. "I don't think you're lying. And I love you like a brother Jesse, but Mike's kinda right. You did just kinda barge in here and interrupted our rehearsal."
Jesse nods. "Text me later. We have a lot of catching up to do." He says and then walks out.
Violet looks at Mike. "You still need help with that quadruple pirouette?" She asks.
Mike nods. "I may be graceful, but I suck at ballet."
Violet smiles.
"Y'know if it helps, dancing makes you lighter on your feet."

It's Thursday night. The night of the concert.
Violet's making her way down the hallway with Charlie when she sees Kurt and Blaine coming their way.
"Baby!" Violet calls.
"Blaine!" Charlie says.
The two run into their respective lovers' arms. Kurt smiles as he hugs Violet, and Blaine laughs as he hugs Charlie.
"Man we've been waiting all week for you two to get here." Charlie says.
Violet nods. "Let's walk to the auditorium together."
The two couples walk together, showing Blaine the sights of McKinley.
"And there's the choir room." Charlie points out. Blaine smiles as he holds his boyfriend's hand.
Kurt smiles sadly. "I miss being here. I miss seeing you guys." He admits.
Violet smiles. "We miss you too Kurt. We really do."
Just then, Karofsky shows up with a sneer on his face.
"You're back?" He asks. Violet glares at the football player.
"What's it to you? He and Blaine are here to watch our concert." Violet says.
Karofsky looks over to Blaine and Charlie. "Couple of guys in the locker room said that Dean here's a fairy, and the Warbler kid is helping him spread their fairy dust all around the school." He sneers.
Violet's heart drops into her stomach. Charlie was preparing to come out to New Directions. How the hell did Karofsky find out first?
Kurt rolls his eyes. "It doesn't matter. I'm just visiting. Leave Charlie and Blaine alone."
Charlie scoffs. "Dude, I thought you'd changed since the championship game, but obviously not."
Karofsky shoves Blaine and Charlie has to refrain himself from fighting this dick.
Santana walks up. "Hey, hey. What the hell's going on? Are you guys okay?" She asks the four.
"We're fine Santana." Violet says.
"You mess with them, you mess with me. Just remember, I came from Lima Heights!" Santana hisses at the bully.
Karofsky smirks. "I think I can take on a few queers and two girls."
Santana glares. "Okay you have a choice. Either I crack one of your nuts — right or left, that's up to you — or you can walk away and live to be a douchebag another day. Also I have razor blades hidden in my hair." She threatens.
Karofsky leaves.
Kurt looks at Santana gratefully. "We could've handled that." He says.
Santana smiles. "I know. It was just fun doing it together. Plus, he's on my list since he gave me a slushee facial this morning."
Violet smiles. "Auntie Tana is the best."
Santana smirks. "Damn straight."

Violet and Charlie take their seats with Kurt and Blaine in the audience. When the concert starts, Tina is up first, trying to perform 'I Follow Rivers.'
[I Follow Rivers by Tina]
However, the Heckling Club — made of Jacob Ben Israel, Becky Jackson, Azimio, and Sandy Ryerson — keep heckling her until she runs offstage, crying.
Violet frowns and then looks at her watch. "Crap. I gotta go get ready." She says and runs off to get changed.
Hopefully, she and Mike won't get heckled like Tina did.

Mike and Violet walk onstage, both barefooted and dressed in white. They're dancing contemporary to LeeAnn Womack's 'I Hope You Dance.'
[I Hope You Dance by LeeAnn Womack]
The Heckling Club is too busy eating saltwater taffy to heckle the two obviously graceful dancers.
Kurt watches with pride as his girlfriend dances with ease. Her movements are light and thorough, which matches with Mike's dancing easily.
The New Directions look on in awe at the dancing duo onstage. They dance like one person. Their body movement is so fluid and so beautiful. Especially when Violet breaks out her infamous quadruple pirouette turn.
When the song ends, the New Directions give their friends the loudest cheers on the planet.
Kurt and Tina are especially loud for their respective partners.
Violet and Mike hug and walk offstage.
"That was awesome!" They say in unison.

Instead of Sunshine performing like she'd said she would, Holly takes her place with Adele's 'Turning Tables.'

The closing act is coming up. Violet's sitting in the audience, watching and waiting. Rachel was supposed to be singing, but it's quickly changed when Mercedes walks onstage. She's decked out in a black dress.
The opening to Aretha Franklin's 'Ain't No Way' starts, and everyone's cheering before Mercedes opens her mouth.
[Ain't No Way by Mercedes]
As Mercedes belts out in her powerful voice, most of the New Directions have stood up.
When the song ends, Mercedes gets the biggest applause of the night.
"Queen Mercedes Jones!"

The New Directions have raised enough money for their tickets to Nationals.
