The choir room feels hostile. Rachel has been told that if she doesn't perform at Regionals, Sebastian will upload photoshopped pictures of Finn on the internet.

"That's it. I'm done. I'm leaving this classroom, and I'm going to beat that Sebastian kid's ass!" Finn says angrily.

"Finn, chill." Will says.

"No, I'm not going to chill. I... I'm done chilling." Finn states.

"The official show choir rule book states that "any real or perceived threat of violence, vandalism or humiliation will be met with a swift and unquestioned disqualification of the threatening party's team with extreme prejudice." It's right here. Page 72, by-law 15, section six, article 44." Finn points out.

"Guys, I contacted the headmaster of Dalton." Will says.

"Like you did when Sebastian almost blinded me? What did they do then? Same thing as they're going to do now... nothing." Blaine says.

"Chill out Blaine." Violet says lowly. Blaine backs down under her look.

"Look, none of this matters now anyways, okay? We're not going to let him beat us like this. I'm going to perform at Regionals." Rachel states.

"Even if he's going to post a photo like this
of me if you do?" Finn asks.

"Finn, I'm not going to negotiate with terrorists." Rachel says.

"If someone posted a picture like that of me online, I'd probably kill myself. Twice to be sure I was dead." Tina comments.

"Now's not the time to talk about that Tina." Violet snaps. Tina falls meek.

"Look, you guys are just going to have to deal with things like this. The more successful you get, the more garbage people are going to make up about you. They're going to love to tear you down." Will explains.

Finn scoffs. "I can't believe you would do that to me."

"I'm going to be married to you. Don't you think I'm going to suffer the consequences as well? I mean, I just... I don't care about stuff like that. I love you, and we'll... we'll manage this together. Okay, the important thing right now is that we win." Rachel tells Finn gently.

"So you wouldn't care if I Photoshopped a photo of you like this and put it on the Internet?" Finn challenges.

"Look, our future depends on us winning Regionals. It'll help me towards my NYADA application." Rachel states.

"Hmm. Hope you get in." Finn says and walks out.

"Finn." Violet calls.

Not even she can get Finn Hudson back into the choir room.

Charlie and Blaine are in the auditorium.

"You okay? You seemed upset. And if Sebastian thinks..." Charlie says.

"Forget about Sebastian! I'm not mad at
you. I just... don't want to waste any more time on him. I-I want to focus on winning. I've got a new song I want to try out. The theme for Regionals is "Inspiration," and I think this fits the bill. You want to hear it?" Blaine asks. Charlie nods and sits on a stool.

Blaine sings 'Cough Syrup.'

Figgins looks at Emma, Will, Beiste and Sue in his office.

"We have to be very careful about how we deliver the news of this to the student body. David was part of this community, and he still has many friends here. And my understanding is that these teen suicides... or even attempts like David's... can induce a string of copycats." Figgins says.

Will shakes his head. "It's just so senseless. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr. The pressure to protect your reputation is so much worse than when we were kids."

Emma nods. "Yeah, and these people can sling their hatred and their mud anonymously."

Will notices that Sue is crying. "Sue, are you crying?"

Sue sighs. "Hormones. No, it's not hormones. I could have done more. I was principal when Dave was having his trouble with Porcelain, and... I knew there was something up with that kid. I knew it. All I can think of is his dad finding him. And that feeling." She laments.

"Guys, we were all hard on Dave. We thought he was going to hurt Kurt. And we thought he was going to try and hurt Violet too." Will states.

"I just never thought he'd hurt himself." Beiste says.

"It wasn't our job to know." Figgins says.

"Then whose job was it?" Emma asks.

Silence.

The God Squad prepares an emergency meeting.

"We should start today's meeting by praying for Karofsky. That he finds peace and that he feels better." Mercedes says.

"I think we should start today's meeting by praying for his family. They could use comfort more than he could." Quinn states.

"I say we should pray for Dave and his family. They all need comfort equally. It doesn't matter what he's done in the past anymore; we have to focus on him as a person in the present." Violet pipes in.

"I just don't understand how he could get to such a horrible, dark place." Joe says.

"It's all over Facebook. A couple of kids from Karofsky's new school saw him at Breadstix with Charlie on Valentine's Day. They posted mean stuff on his page and texted everyone that he was gay. He couldn't take it." Mercedes informs.

"How is he? Is he going to live?" Joe asks.

"Well, he's in the hospital, but thank God his dad found him in time." Violet answers.

"I feel sorry for Karofsky, but what he did was selfish. He didn't just want to hurt himself; he wanted to hurt everyone around him. I went through the wringer, but I never got to that place." Quinn says.

Kurt and Charlie appear in the doorway.

"Quinn, please. Sure, you had a baby when you were 16 and you had a bad dye job for two weeks, but seriously? The world never stopped loving you." Kurt states.

"And you're going to Yale. You have no idea what Karofsky was struggling with." Charlie adds.

"You really want to try to compare..." Quinn's cut off by Charlie.

"The despair, the self-loathing." Charlie says.

"It doesn't matter. I just can't imagine things getting so messed up that you would consider taking your own life." Quinn comments.

"That is so harsh and reductive. Have some compassion. Do you know what they're still writing on his Facebook? 'Better luck next time' and 'Try, try again.'" Kurt tells them.

Quinn looks at the two boys. "Why are you two even here? Thought you didn't believe in God."

Violet and Joe raise their hands. "They asked us if they could come, and we invited them." Joe says.

"I heard you guys were praying for Karofsky, and... after everything that we've been through, I didn't have anywhere else to go." Kurt says as he stands behind Violet, gently rubbing her shoulders to keep her and himself calm.

Charlie bites back a cry. "I feel responsible. He asked me out, and... I said no. And he kept calling me... If I'd just answered one of those stupid calls..." he shakes his head in disappointment.

"We're taking a edible arrangement to the hospital." Mercedes speaks up.

"Do you guys want to come with us?" Violet asks softly.

Everyone's gathered on the floor of the auditorium. Kurt and Violet sit in between Finn and Rachel and Blaine and Charlie.

"Mr. Shue, why do you have a jar of peanut butter with one spoon?" Puck asks.

Sugar nods. "Yeah, there are 17 of us here, and I'm only comfortable sharing a spoon with about half of you."

Will smiles gently. "Well, it's come to my attention that our good friend Rory Flanagan has never tasted peanut butter." He reveals.

"What?!" Sam asks.

"Are you serious?" Blaine questions.

"No way." Finn denies.

"It's not possible." Charlie insists.

"Rory, if you don't mind." Will says and gives Rory a spoonful of peanut butter.

"Oh, God... Oh, my God... That's the best thing I've ever had." Rory says after eating it.

"Mr. Shuester, wow, that's incredibly moving." Artie says.

"Yeah, Mr. Shue, what's the point of all this?" Rachel asks.

Will sighs as he sits down. "The point is Rory just had a brand-new experience, something as simple as peanut butter. You guys are young. I want you to promise me that, no matter how depressed you get, no matter how hopeless or alone you feel, you'll try your best to imagine all of the amazing experiences you have ahead of you." He says.

"Mr. Shue, look, I know we're a little dramatic sometimes, but I don't think anyone will ever consider taking their own life." Mercedes says.

"I did." Will reveals.

Everyone looks at him.

"Junior year. That was a tough year. I, uh, I cheated on my math midterm. Peeked at the answers of the guy next to me and... the teacher saw me do it." Will explains.

"Just 'cause you got caught cheating? I get caught cheating all the time." Puck interrupts.

Will continues. "They called my dad at his office, and he was coming to pick me up. How was I supposed to look him in the eye? I just kept... picturing my dad so disappointed in me. So... I walked up to the roof. I went right to the edge. One step and all the pain and humiliation would be over."

"Is that true?" Santana asks.

"That day, I promise you, it felt like it was the end of the world. But you know what? It wasn't. You know, for some of you, getting caught cheating isn't a big deal. But there's something... everyone has something that might take them up to that edge. And look at all the things I would've missed out on. I would've never met you guys or Emma. I would've missed out on everything. So, right now, I want you all to think of something that you're looking forward to. Big things." Will says.

"Someday, I want to earn enough money to buy my folks a new place, so they don't ever have to go through losing their home again." Sam starts.

"I'm most looking forward to meeting Rachel Berry's children." Mercedes says, getting the others to crack a smile.

"I want to be there to see my kid's first steps." Artie says.

"I want to be there to see Sex and the City Part III." Sugar announces.

"Wow." Will says.

Puck goes next. "I'm sort of embarrassed to admit it, but I really do want to graduate high school."

"I'm gonna petition the Army to change my dad's dishonorable discharge status to an honorable one." Finn says.

"I'm looking forward to graduating from Yale at the top of my class." Quinn adds.

"I'm looking forward to the day when my grandmother loves me again." Santana comments.

"I want Lord Tubbington to kick his Ecstasy addiction." Brittany states.

"I am looking forward to marriage equality in all 50 states." Blaine says.

"I want to help better shape our community for our future children." Charlie admits.

"I'm looking forward to the first time I dance at Carnegie Hall." Mike says.

"I just want a song." Tina says.

"I'm looking forward to watching my dad make a difference in Congress." Kurt states.

"I'm looking forward to one day marry the love of my life and spend eternity with him." Violet says, and doesn't miss the way Kurt blushes.

"I'm looking forward to being friends with all of you for the rest of my life." Rachel says sweetly.

Rory finishes. "I know this sounds silly, and the peanut butter really is amazing, Mr. Shue, but do you know what I'm looking forward to? Winning at Regionals." He says.

The New Directions cheer.

The New Directions are sat in the audience of the auditorium at Regionals. They're going last.

"And now, from Westerville, Ohio, the Dalton Academy Warblers!" The announcer states.

The Warblers perform 'Stand.'

[Stand by The Warblers]

The New Directions are up from their seats, cheering for their competition.

Sebastian smiles. "Thank you. Just a reminder to please make a donation to one of our charity baskets. We're set up all around the auditorium. Just look for the Dalton blazer. Please... give what you can." He says.

The Warblers then transition into 'Glad You Came.'

[Glad You Came by The Warblers]

Everyone, including the New Directions, cheer for their performance.

The New Directions are in the choir room, getting ready to go on and perform.

"Those Golden Goblet madrigal singers were way better than I thought they'd be." Puck says.

"Are you high? I couldn't hear their instruments at all." Brittany comments.

Will walks in. "All right, guys, listen up. Don't let them get into your heads, okay? Stay focused on what we do best. Show circle time, come on, let's huddle up!" He says.

Everyone huddled up.

"Okay, uh... Oh, Finn, you wanted to start us off?" Will asks.

Finn nods. "Yeah. I know it's kind of short notice, but... after the competition, Rachel and I are going to get married. At the Justice of the Peace, at the Lima Municipal Center."

"There will be some light refreshments afterwards, my dads and I were rolling finger sandwiches all night long. With everything that's happened lately, we thought a lot about what Mr. Shue said. We didn't want to wait anymore. We just want to live every day like it's our last. So we wanted to thank a lot of you guys that were supportive of our decision to get married. And-and for those of you who maybe weren't the biggest fans of our impending nuptials, we thank you also." Rachel states.

"So after we win, we would really love it if all of you would come to our wedding." Finn says. Violet smiles proudly at them.

"Come on, bring it in!" Will says and they all put their hands in.

"A... mazing!"

The New Directions start off with a mash-up of 'Fly/I Believe I Can Fly.'

[Fly/I Believe I Can Fly by New Directions]

After the song ends, the Trouble Tones, including Violet, perform Kelly Clarkson's 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You).' There are notable solos from Mercedes, Santana, Brittany and Violet.

[Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) by Trouble Tones]

While watching from the audience, LeRoy and Hiram watch in astonishment at their ex-daughter performing onstage.

Burt turns and smirks at them. "Yeah. She's talented and has an impressive vocal range."

The two men just stare in shock.

Violet smirks triumphantly when she sings her solo line towards her ex-fathers.

The song ends, and the Trouble Tones get very loud applause.

It's now time for the final song of the New Directions. Rachel sings 'Here's To Us.'

[Here's To Us by Rachel]

At the end, the New Directions receive the loudest applause they've ever received.

It's now time for the results of Regionals. They're being announced by Svengoobles.

"I've crossed oceans of time to bring the results of this show choir competition. In third place, from Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, the Golden Goblets!" He announces.

There's light applause from the audience.

"And now... the moment you've all been waiting for. The 2012 Midwest Regional Champion... from McKinley High... the New Directions!" Svengoobles announces.

Violet smiles as she claps and cheers with her fellow teammates. She grabs Kurt by his suspenders and kisses him onstage.

For the second year in a row, the New Directions are going to Nationals!

Before heading to Finn and Rachel's wedding, Charlie, Kurt and Violet drop by the hospital to see Dave.

"Can we come in?" Charlie asks.

Dave nods. "The doctors took me off 72-hour watch. I get to go home tomorrow." He says.

"That's great. I'm really happy that you're alive, David." Kurt says.

"Me, too." Violet agrees.

Dave nods in agreement.

"I should have returned your calls." Charlie says.

"Why would you, after the way I've treated the three of you?" Dave asks.

"It's okay." Violet says.

"No, it's not okay. It's like Charlie said on Valentine's Day, I made your lives a living hell for months. But when the same thing happened to me, I couldn't even take it for a week. I suppose a best friend telling me he never want to talk to me again, my mom telling me that I have a disease... and maybe I can be cured... I don't know what to do. I can't go back to that school." Dave laments.

"Then go to another school." Kurt offers.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, it... it isn't gonna be easy. And there'll be some days when... life just sucks. But you're gonna get through this." Charlie tells the former bully.

"'Cause we're gonna help you." Violet tells Dave.

"And so is everyone else who loves you and accepts you for who you are. And if they can't accept that, then... screw 'em. Right?" Kurt says.

Dave nods. "Yeah."

Violet looks at Dave. "This week, um, Mr. Shue had us think about something we're looking forward to in the future. You want to give it a go?" She asks.

"I don't know." Dave hesitates.

"Come on. We'll help you." Kurt encourages.

Charlie smiles gently. "Close your eyes, and imagine what life could be like in ten years."

"You're sitting in a fantastic office. You're some kind of successful professional. A lawyer, maybe." Kurt adds.

"Could I be a sports agent?" Dave asks.

Kurt nods. "Sure. You're a big sports agent living in the city of your dreams because you left Lima and never looked back."

Violet continues. "Your handsome partner comes to visit you in your office and brings along your son. You're taking the rest of the day off work because you're taking your son to his first football game."

"You lean over to your partner,
and you say..." Charlie trails off.

"I'm so happy right now." Dave says.

"You, uh... you said last week you wanted
to be friends? I'd like that." Dave tells Charlie. "I'd like to be friends with all three of you, actually."

"We'd love that Dave." Violet says, a genuine smile on her face.

All the New Directions girls and Kurt are with Rachel at the Lima Municipal Center.

"Face it, Quinn's not coming." Santana says.

"She said she'd be here, okay? I don't want to start without her." Rachel says, pacing.

"Looking sharp." Blaine tells his boyfriend.

"Thanks." Charlie smiles with a hint of pink on his cheeks.

"Finn, out." Violet says when Finn comes walking down the hallway.

"You can't see the bride before the wedding." Kurt says.

"I've already seen her." Finn reveals.

"But that's bad luck." Mercedes says.

"No, it's fine." Rachel inputs.

"Rachel, we got to go right now, or we're gonna lose our slot." Finn tells his bride.

"Could we please just wait a couple more minutes for Quinn, please?" Rachel begs.

"It's now or never." Finn says.

They don't get married.

= = =

Violet sits on Kurt's bed, tears streaming down her cheeks. They'd just heard about Quinn's accident.

Kurt's rubbing her back, trying as well as he can to console her. "Quinn's going to be okay." He tells her.

"She got hit head-on, Kurt. It'll be a miracle if she's even alive." Violet chokes out.

Kurt kisses her head and continues to rub her back. "I know you care about her; we all do. But you have to have hope." He whispers into her hair.

Violet's body shakes with sobs. "She was my first friend at McKinley that I didn't already know. Her, Santana and Brittany have always been close with me since we met. I feel like a part of me is being destroyed over and over again. Those girls are my sisters." She tells him.

Kurt can't help but shed a tear or two. Hearing Violet talk about Quinn, Brittany and Santana like this... it makes him sad. But he has to be strong for Violet. For Quinn.

"Violet, Quinn's a fighter. She's gone through hell and back before; she can do it again. You know that. When she gets out of the hospital and comes back to school, we will give her the biggest welcome home hug ever." Kurt says, trying to stop himself from crying too.

Later that night, Burt sees his son and Violet in Kurt's bed, sleeping soundly in their pajamas. He goes in to wake them up, but notices the tear stains on their cheeks. Instead, he pulls the covers over them and turns the light off.

Burt hopes and prays to God that Quinn will make it out alive.

If she doesn't... he doesn't know what it'll do to Violet.
