Chapter 9 - Wasn't Expecting This
Ink's POV
My body was extremely hot which caused me to wake up. When I pushed myself into a sitting position, I realized that I was sweating. Error, who was sleeping had also woken up.
He got out of bed and went over to our air conditioning unit. Error looked at it for a second before speaking.
Error: Our AC is broken. It's a good thing we have class in about an hour or I would die from this heat.
I stepped out of bed to change my clothing for class. After grabbing a clean set, I went to my bathroom to dress myself. Once I was done, I exited but stopped when I saw Error. His shirt was off which made me blush rainbow.
His body was sweating and his torso was exposed. I covered my cheeks with my brown scarf and tried not to look at him. However, we locked eyes which made both of us extremely quiet.
In a panic, I grabbed my backpack and left our dorm and into the hallway. I heard Error call me name but I ignored him.
Before I could fully exit the building, I was stopped by Error. I turned around to look at him but blushed immediately. He was wearing button up shirt however it wasn't buttoned all the way, allowing me to see his chest. He noticed and fumbled to button them.

I sipped from a cup of coffee. My first class was Calculus and it was too early in the morning for that shit. Error checked social media as we walked.
Looking up, I saw Taryn, the white cat monster from the liquor store. A smile on my face appeared and I began walking over to him. Error noticed and followed me.
I waved to get the male cat's attention. He looked over to me, waving back. Taryn starting signing to me.
Taryn: "Hi."
Me: "Hi."
Taryn: "I wasn't expecting to see you here, Ink. Where are you going?"
Me: "Math in about an hour and a half."
I happened to turn towards Error which made my smile fade. Error slightly glared at Taryn but I didn't know why.
Taryn: "Cool. Do you want to hang out at the café in the meantime?"
Error cleared his throat to get our attention.
Error: "Actually. Ink and I like getting to class early so we must get going."
He signed towards both of us. There was a strange smile on Error's face as he grabbed my arm. As I was dragged away, I waved goodbye to Taryn.
About an hour later, we were sitting in math class. While I checked my notes, I wondered what was up with Error. He's never acted like that to a new person. Generally he was quite friendly.
Looking around, I noticed that other college students started to walk into the classroom. They sat in their seats and waited for the professor to arrive.
I sighed as I leaned back in my chair. I turned towards Error and watched him silently slide his finger across the screen of his phone.

I took a bite of a hot fry while staring out the window. The sky was becoming cloudy and grey. The forecast said that there was a good chance that it was going to rain however, I forgot to bring my umbrella.
'It's nice to be alone in here. I don't have to worry about Martina or Error... well... I take that back, I can never get tired of Error.'
Suddenly, there was a small noise. Turning my head, I noticed Taryn smiling at me. He waved and I returned the gesture.
Taryn: May I sit with you?
I nodded before turning my head towards the window.
Taryn: Is it wrong to ask you what sexuality you are?
I shook my head, raising my hands to start signing.
Me: "I'm gay. You?"
Taryn: I'm straight. I actually have a girlfriend.
Me: "That's nice. What's her name?"
Taryn: Cero. A female werewolf monster. She's so pretty.
A small mute giggle escaped from me.
Me: "I can imagine. Werewolves are attractive."
Taryn and I continued to have a pleasant conversation. Then, my phone pinged with a new notification. Picking it up, I read the text that I received. It was Error. He was wanting to meet up at the library.
Me: "I have to go. I'll see you later."
I waved goodbye and left the building. I rushed to the library to find Error.
Once I walked through the front doors of the library, a feeling of calm embraced me. The library was the one place that was always quiet... like me.
My eyes darted to find my friend. Sitting at one of the tables was Error. I walked over to him and sat down across from him. He looked up and smiled.
Error: "Hey Ink. I have something to ask you."
Me: "What is it?"
Error: "Do you want to go to the art museum? Just you and me?"
I almost immediately nodded with a wide grin on my face. It doesn't surprise me that...
Error still had my heart
