It's been raining on and off for the past few days

Not the monsoons I don't think, probably hurricane leftovers and the cool down season

The streets get flooded, it drizzles and sprinkles and torrents, it's suddenly lurched is into a bit of early sweater weather

I love it

No matter my petty stress right now I can just close my eyes and breathe, the petrichor is beautiful and I get to wear sweatshirts for the first time in months. It started right as October started, too, and I couldn't be happier

This is the best possible state that our stupid little desert can be in as far as climate and I love every fucking second of it

Since my dad flew us in on Sunday, I actually got to see the rain moving in,, I wish I could post the pictures, not that they could ever capture how incredible it was, I've seen it before but the sheets of mist and the feeling of being enveloped in them as you float through,, it's indescribable

I really can't tell if I'm agnostic, atheist, that kind of teenager who was raised really open and is too lazy and/or dumb to think about faith [probably that one] or something else, but if I have a religion, it's this rain, I know I'm basic but I love it so, so much

And I know sophomore work is fucking easy and I'm just a dumbass who can't do anything right so that's why I'm stressed out [since I'm missing Friday and part of Thursday,, yea there's a lot to do, two tests and a project to make up after break, which is less than expected lol] but knowing that I get these days of rain before I go back to my sun,, it's really, really great

Empress and I agree that rain puts people in the most strange, interesting moods,,,, and for me it's goddamn euphoria!
