I posted this species in my Stormtamers plans book, because this species will be featured in that series.

Stokliers are mysterious, dark creatures with a thirst for power. They rarely come out, and when they do it's hard to see them, because it's only on nights with no moon or stars. They live in groups called clans, and they make their homes in cave systems called camps.

They feed on the energy of others, but do eat normal food or absorb the energy from crystals in their homes in between hunting sessions.

Their eyes are dangerous to look into. If you do, you become paralyzed for a full minute...just long enough for a stoklier to absorb your energy and turn you to stone forever.

Common stokliers are listed into these categories:

-Forragers
-Guards
-Farmers
-Harvesters
-Caretakers
-Nurses
-Pups

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CARETAKERS AND NURSES!

Caretakers take care of the food supplies and other creatures in the caves.

Nurses take care of the young (pups) and tend to pregnant stokliers.

The other titles are self-explanatory.

There are also two royals per clan, a male and a female.

Only they have gems both in their foreheads and chests, and can choose whether to bring a victim back to life, and how to do so. (They rarely do this; it's a 25/100 chance. Out of the 25, there's a 15/25 chance they'll be back as a stoklier, or a 10/25 chance they'll completely be normal again, but weaker.)

They can't fly because of how small their wings are, but in case of emergencies, they can flap their wings really fast to make a buzzing sound to alarm nearby stokliers.

This species is EXCLUSIVE. I MIGHT give a few close friends one, but that's it.

If I do give you one, I might use it in the series, but only if you let me.

Edit: Forgot to add a rank: Apprentice. Apprentices are the children of the Royals and become Royals after their parents die or retire.
