Poskats (paws-katz) are small, cat-like creatures that can roughly grow to be the size of a 5-month-old lion cub.

They usually live in groups of 5-10 (called nooks) and are often led by a dominant male, similar to lion prides. However, sometimes (but rarely) a female will lead the group, though there's only a 10% chance to find a dominant female in a poskat nook. Poskat kits stay with their nooks until they are about a month old before heading on their own.

The joints in their limbs can move in any direction — even backwards — so they can fit into tight spaces and are excellent climbers as well. Their long tail is similar to the tail of an opossum (meaning it's hairless [except at the tip] and prehensile, which just means it can grab onto brances and stuff), which also aids in their climbing abilities.

Their diet mainly consists of small rodents and birds, though occasionally, the nook will work together and take down much larger prey. This only happens between autumn and winter, so they have plenty of food to last them through the cold weather.

Poskats may look cute and cuddly, but beware — they WILL try to kill you if you try to approach one. They are extremely territorial and will attack any living thing that crosses their path (except for a poskat in their nook, of course), so it's best to stay back.
