Unusual Feeling
Ethan POV
It's Monday morning, time to look for another job. I sighed through my teeth and did my usual morning routine; brush my teeth, change, make breakfast, pack my bags and leave to find a job, but today felt unusual. I don't know why though.
"Maybe it's just me." I shrug it off and continued.
If you want to know why I'm not like an ordinary teenager boy going to school is because of everything which happened in the past. It sort of affected me a lot and made me stop going to school since I was about 9.
It still affects me till this day just not that much when mum married Jordan a few years ago. The teachers were worried about me not going to school and phoned my mum about my absence, mum would tell them I'm getting a tutor or that I'm getting home-schooled. Luckily, the teachers would believe it but some would threaten mum to bring me back to school in which I still wouldn't go.

Once I've gotten out of the house, I immediately went to many different streets who wants people to have the opportunity for a job. Well, today was just like the same old days, there would be no more room to fit another person, me, and they would just tell me to 'get loss'.
You know when I said that I've had that unusual feeling this morning, well that unusual feeling gave me some type of luck. It actually brought me to a place called The Natural Café, not the most populated place on the street but it's still worth a try. The café wanted someone to waiter the customers and to fill in the orders, unfortunately no one wanted that job and thought that there are better jobs other than serving people. I just hope that they pay a good amount of money to pay for the bank and such.
I went into the café and noticed that the place was certainly natural. The scent had the smell of fresh coffee beans specially made for the customers. The place was neither cramp or large, just right. The seats were neatly tucked in and the tables were arranged beautifully, you couldn't even see a speck of different arrangements in the café! The counter was placed at the front with all the barista equipment ready for service.
As my eyes wondered the place, I didn't noticed a petite girl standing in front of me, coughing quite politely for my attention.
"Ahem. Excuse me?" She stood on her tiptoes to gain attention.
"Huh? Oh, sorry."
When I looked down at her, her long, white hair was tied up in a loose bun and her crystal, baby blue eyes gently glared up at me. Her hands were on her hips waiting for me and her mouth pouted for my answer.
"Anyway, are you here to take the job as waiter or...?"
"Uh, I'm here to take a job." Still unable to recuperate the scenery and interrupting her sentence.
"Cool! If you want to sign up and take the job then follow me! I'll take you to the 'boss' of this place." she was unaffected to my sudden interruption and resumed naturally.
She walked on forward, me behind her. We continued walking through the halls until we came upon a door which says STAFFS ONLY. We opened it and found a male doing paper work at a desk. He looked up and smiled at us. He had brown, curls and jade green eyes which showed kindness towards us. He was also wearing a black tux but without the tie on to show how carefree he was.
"Oh, Lux who did you brought in this time?" He spoke, while one of his hand supported his chin and his left leg crossed over his right leg.
"Just someone who wants a job. He says he wants the job to be a waiter."
"Uh huh. Well, kid you've got the job! All you need to do is just fill in this form and that will be it!" He hands a two paged form to me and a pen.
"Thanks." Nervous at the action.
"Hey, boy what's your name?" The male asks.
"Ethan Cortland. What about you?" I looked up to him for the same question.
"Seth Millers the name."
Seth Millers huh. I thought making sure I won't forget the name. I asked him another question but this time about the female.
"And what's that girl's name?"
"She's Lux Livius. If you want to know she came from a different country but she moved here instead."
"Oh, ok." Lux Livius, what a strange name.
Even though I've already heard the name from Seth before, I still want to be 100% positive that her name was Lux.
Our conversation ended and the sound of pen scratching's can only be heard.
Once I was done, I gave the form to Seth and waited for his reply, either way he gestured a hand movement in which that I can leave and work tomorrow morning instead of today. I exited the café and did my 'see ya tomorrow' salute to Lux. She saluted back and giggled at the gesture then repeated her preparations on another table.
Well, tomorrow's gonna be a tough day!
A/N: The thoughts are these. Just saying if you're confuse why I'm using this even though this is Ethan's POV.
