We give certain "special" days a label,

Designate them a story or fable,

Give them some history,

Or add a bit of mystery.

Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween,

And all the occasions in-between,

Anniversaries, birthdays, causes to celebrate,

Mother's and Father's Day, reasons to appreciate.

Now with social media, every day has a unique name,

For its awareness-raising or fifteen minutes of fame.

Attach some meaning,

To experience some kind of feeling,

In the eternal inevitable essence of time,

To give shape to the repetitive clock chime.

But the key to easing any daily strife,

Overcoming the mundane madness of life,

Is to learn that every day helps us reach a goal,

If each day we put the effort in and play our role,

And remember that every single day has sublime significance,

A magnitude of marvellous magnificence.
