Chapter Twenty One

Happy late birthday, Kyah.xD I was going to dedicate a chapter to you, but I had no time yesterday...happy belated birthday.xD

COMMENT 'JELLO' IF YOU GOT A NOTIFICATION!!!

When Scott woke up, he noticed right away that his temple was bleeding. He hissed in pain, putting his hand on his temple right away. He put pressure on it, looking around his surroundings. Everything was blurry and if an object wasn't blurry, Scott saw double. A ringing was resided in his ear, causing him to snap his fingers near his ring in ear.

No sound.

I'm...deaf?

Scott stood up, looking around once more. His sight finally got back to normal and he gasped when he saw his current environment. Dead or passed out bodies were everywhere, making Scott hope for the latter. He walked up to a Pioneer, putting a coulpe fingers on her neck.

She's dead.

Scott walked back to his spot, looking down at his weapon. He looked around for Candice, putting into his pocket when he couldn't find her. He took a sign of relief, jumping when a hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Sc-Scott? We lost someone."

Scott turned around, grateful to see Travis behind him. The younger man had blood running down his eyebrow and forehead, making him look like he was in a fight. He teared up a bit, takin deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Travis, what happened?"

Travis looked down, crying silently as he wiped his eyes. Scott waited patiently for to start, tapping his fingers on his arms. Travis looked at Scott, more tears rolling down his face.

"It's Candice."

Scott widened his eyes, running over to the spot he was originally at before the explosion. He breathed quickly, shaking his head when he didn't see Candice there. He looked back at Travis, his entire body shaking when he walked back up to the younger male.

"Where is she?!"

Travis was about to answer when Alexis came running up to them. She looked unharmed, making Scott calm down a bit. Alexis sighed sadly, shaking her head as looked at Scott.

"We have five more people who are MIA and one person who is dead. I was in a building when the bomb exploded. I was so nervous about you all! I ran out here quickly when I didn't the fire anymore. You two and the others are so lucky to be alive. The Pioneers will be eliminated."

Scott nodded, looking for the small platinum blonde. He remembered that she was wearing one of Genevieve's sweater, the cute one with little hearts on it. Travis and Alexis followed him, looking at each sadly as Scott looked at the bodies.

"Candice, where are you?! Are you okay?! Come out, come out wherever you are! I need you!"

Nothing.

More ringing erupted in Scott's bad ear, causing him to close his eyes tightly and hiss quietly. Alexis followed Scott, putting a hand on his shoulder as she sighed sadly.

"I have the number of the person who died today. Everyone else here are Pioneers. So far, Council Members are in different part of Europe, MIA, or dead. I only have one recorded Seth besides the other twenty. Do you want to hear it?"

"Yes please."

"Number 278954."

Scott widened his eyes, running away from Alexis. He fit saw Candice's body, all bloody from the bomb. Scott screamed, falling on his knees once he reached her. Her eyes are closed, her mouth open a bit. Scott cried, brushing her hair back as Travis and Alexis walked up to him.

"Candice, get up. Please! Get up. Genevieve needs you, your child needs you, I need you."

Candice didn't respond.

Scott put his good ear on her chest, crying harder when he didn't hear a heartbeat. Alexis wrote something down, her heartbreaking as Scott held the dead woman's body.

Genevieve Lambert,

We regret to inform you that your wife Candice Lambert has passed away. We send your condolences. A tribute of Candice will be held for her and we will send you her paycheck until your child is of age. You'll be in our prayers and thoughts.

"Ben? Why did you use Jeremy and Kirstin's rings?"

Ben looked up at Mitch, looking away when the Special had a disappointed look on his face. Ben sighed, playing with his fingers.

"I don't know. I guess I wanted to because I wanted to keep my brother in my memory."

"But you stole their rings when I was kidnapped by them! They thought that I stole them and I was punished for almost an hour because of you! I left mostly because I didn't forgive Jeremy hurting me, but I also didn't want to have a panic attack because of those rings. I got in trouble because of you!"

"I'm sorry, Mitch. I didn't know any better."

"But you knew that I was going to be punished! They said that whoever stole the rings will be forced into the bathtub and hold their breath for two minutes! Kirstin added another two minutes! I could have died, Ben! You didn't say anything though! If I did steal their rings, I would have told the truth so you wouldn't get a punishment that I deserved!"

Ben glared at Mitch, crossing his arms angrily as the older Omega began to breathe through his nose. The younger Omega shook his head, pushing Mitch roughly on the shoulder.

"Don't you dare guilt trip me! That's all you do so that people will feel bad for you but guess what?! I don't! I went through the same pain you did!"

Mitch felt tears welling in his eyes, but he wiped at them quickly. He refrained himself from pushing Ben, kneeling that if he hurt back that he will just make the problem worse. Mitch sat down, his legs too wobbly to stand up.

"I do not guilt trip people. I just want love. I never asked for reassuring words, sweet nothings, sympathy, or anything like that. I told people my story because they wanted to know what happened to me."

"Sounds like guilt tripping if you ask me. You only want your story to be heard and you don't listen to anyone else. Quite rude if you ask me."

"I'm not being rude," Mitch practically yelled, standing up abruptly. Ben smirked, crossing his arms once more. "Maybe I don't want to hear people's stories because they don't feel comfortable sharing it. That does not make me rude! That just makes me understanding of their pain. I respect people, Ben."

"Sure you do. You know, maybe if you did respect Kirstin, none of this would even be happening!"

Ben realized what he said, putting his  hand over his mouth as Mitch began to tear up some more. Ben shook his head, walking up to Mitch to hug him.

"Mitch, I'm-"

Mitch walked off, slamming the door on the way out. He stomped downstairs, finding himself in Tori's arms. He cried heavily, grasping onto her as if she was his mom. Tori patted his back, shushing him silently as she led him to the couch.

"Mitch, what's the matter?"

"I'm-I'm so ru-ru-rude!"

Mitch cried some more, leaning into Tori's embrace. Avi walked in, an eyebrow raised at the sight. Tori shrugged her shoulders, not being informed of what just happened. Jessi walked downstairs, their eyes full of confusion as they looked at Mitch.

"Why was that?"

"Ben...Ben said something mean only because I was being mean. I deserved it."

"What was it?"

Mitch shook his head, eating his head on Tori's shoulder. Tori kissed him gently, pulling him in closer as Avi sat down next to his wife and Mitch. Jessi watched the entire scene, thus saying:

"Why are most of the Pack's problems caused by Mitch?"

Alyssa read the name over and I ever again, wondering why she can't decide it. She knows Pooh S. Keter is not a real person, but she can't tell who the person actually is. She noticed that it was harder for her to think after having chemo, which staged her down a bit.

She believed that she had 'chemo brain', something that happened when your brain takes a bit to 'regrow' after having chemo. You don't think as easily as you did before you had chemo and it sucks. She forgot things easily, which might explain why she can't figure out how to decide this name.

"Think, Alyssa. Think."

She circled the two o's in Pooh, wondering if that could help in some way. After a few minutes, she shook her head and erased everything quickly. She can't figure this out!

"Why is this so hard?!"

She looked over the name once more, looking up at a picture of her and her friend Darien Koop. They went to church together when they were younger yet they lost touch. She wondered what he looked like now, making her want to see him.

Where are you, Darien?

She looked at the paper, gasping as she saw some clues. She circled the o's again, this time circling the K and P too. She put them together, smiling happily to herself.

h S. eter, Koop

Alyssa bit the end of the pencil, hoping that she will find some way to find out who this 'Pooh' person is.

Even if it kills her.

A/N: Well...this story is only going to get more intense.xD Out of all the books for the Different series, Special is definitely the most intense. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
