Chapter Thirteen
"If y'all are going to do pants off dance off, at least get me my hot chocolate first."
~Inspirational quotes by Omega Mitch😂😂😂
(Quote is from Chapter 112 in TAATO3.)
Ben dialed a number on his phone, tapping his fingers impatiently as Mitch frowned. He set a plate of pancakes down, putting Melody in her highchair carefully. He sat down next to the younger Omega, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"Ben?"
"Shh."
Mitch sighed, nodding as Ben put a finger up. The purple haired male tapped his fingers on the table, the top of his head beginning to tingle from the sound. Ben looked at him, irritation evident on his face.
"Mitch, please stop doing that. You're distracting me."
Mitch stopped immediately, smiling the best he could as looked over at Melody. She squealed as Ben sighed loudly, dialing a number once again. Mitch shrugged his shoulders, going back to feeding his oldest daughter.
"There's goes the plane!"
Melody giggled, swallowing the food the best she could. She made a disgusted face, spitting her food out immediately. Mitch jumped back, accidentally knocking his chair over. He grabbed a rag quickly, being met by Ben's angry eyes.
"Do you not understand the concept of being quiet, Mitch?!"
Mitch looked at feet, ashamed of his actions. Ben scoffed, going back to dial a number and throwing it down on table when it straight to voicemail.
"Their phone died! Maybe if you weren't so loud and didn't need to tell you to shut up, I wouldn't be in this mess!"
Mitch's eyes turned red right away, throwing the tag down in anger. He walked, no, stomped up to Ben to give him a piece of his mind.
"It is not my fault. Do not blame your problems on mine!"
Ben laughed, standing up as he pushed Mitch back. Melody watched with wide eyes, wondering what was going on.
"It is though! I told you a million times to shut up and you didn't listen! Maybe you are a bad Omega."
Mitch practically growled, not wanting to push Ben to get his point across. He glared at the Omega, putting us hands into fists.
"I...am...not...a bad Omega!"
"Yes you are! You never listen! Why do you think bad things happen our Pack?! It's because of you! We always get hurt because of you! It's all your fault!"
A tear managed to roll down Mitch's cheek, looking over at the phone. He picked it up, glaring back at Ben.
"Maybe the reason why Jessi left is because of you, Ben! Have you ever thought of that?!"
Ben slapped Mitch's hand, causing the phone to slip across the floor. Melody began to cry a bit, not knowing what was going on.
"What do you mean?! How is it my fault that they left?! Please expla-"
"I'm not saying it's your fault, I'm just saying that you are the rea-"
"BUT WHY?!"
"BECAUSE THEY LOVE YOU, BEN!"
Ben stopped arguing, his glare becoming a pair of sad eyes. Mitch went over to Melody, picking her up carefully as he pushed the black hair back. He looked back at Ben, swallowing a lump in his throat.
"They loved you too much to stay, Ben. They knew that saying here will make them sad and they know that you didn't want them to be sad, so they left. Too many memories of you two were made because of this Pack."
"So, wait...Jessi left because they didn't want to think about me leaving them?"
Mitch nodded, putting two and two together. He gasped, bringing Ben close to him. The younger Omega began to cry, wanting Jessi back in his arms.
"I left because I had too, they left because they felt like they had too. Mitch, it's hurts so bad."
"I know, Benny. I know."
Ben cried harder, wanting nothing more than to just see Jessi again and say three words.
I love you.

Scott and Kevin sat by each other as Alyssa registered Ariel and Erik for preschool. She already registered Melody and Jordyn for nursery school, but there was something unsettling in all their stomachs.
And it involved Jordyn.
"Mommy?," Erik asked, looking up at her with wide eyes. Alyssa nodded, looking down at her son. "Are you fat?"
"Erik Peter Olusola, you never say stuff like that! Do you want a timeout?"
"No, Ma'am," Erik replied quickly, his eyes turning blue. "I'm sowwy."
Alyssa sighed, going down to her son's level the best she could. Kevin stood by her, making sure that she didn't fall over or something.
"Baby, I accept your apology. You just have to remember that words like that aren't very nice. Be nice next time, okay?"
Erik nodded, hugging his mom tightly. Scott smiled, looking over at Kevin suspiciously.
"What are these news you have to tell me and why are you telling me before Avi? I thought he was 'your brotha from anotha motha'."
"First of all, you're white. Never say that phrase like that...ever again," Kevin started off playfully, even though he meant it seriously. "Second of all, Avi's phone was off. He's probably sick. Third of all, the Olusola family is becoming bigger."
Silence.
"OH MY GOSH, KEVIN! THAT'S AMAZING! CONGRATS!"
Kevin laughed, hugging an emotional Scott tightly. The Alpha cried happy tears, hugging the Beta the bet he could. Alyssa smiled as Erik cheered, hugging her knees happily as Ariel screeched from her dad's lap.
"Weally?!"
"What is the baby called?!"
"We don't know yet, but we want his middle name to be Joshua," Alyssa answered, smiling as he rubbed her stomach. She looked up at Scott, smirking a bit. "I'm five months. Better check on Mitch to make sure he's not pregnant."
"We're not...trying anymore. I've suggested it may times, but he disagreed. He doesn't want anymore children."
Kevin frowned, keeping Scott close to him. Right away, Scott's phone began to ring like crazy. Everyone jumped as Scott picked up, blushing from embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, hold on. Hello?"
"..."
"I'm sorry? May you repeat that?"
"..."
"You...you're serious?!"
"..."
"Oh my gosh, no! When?!"
"..."
"That's so close! Does Mitch have to go?"
"..."
"Oh, thank God. Okay, I'll be ready by next week. Thank you so much."
Scott hung up, his eyes shining in tears. Only this time, they were sad tears. Alyssa walked over to him, her eyes full of worry as she looked at him.
"Scott, what's wrong?!"
"That call was from L.A," Scott answered, his voice shaking. He looked at Kevin and Alyssa, shaking his head. "There is a rouge group in Europe. They are attacking and killing Divergents with every chance they have. There is a war happening right now."
"Why does it involve you?"
Scott sobbed, wiping his eyes as he took out his wallet. There on the front was a family photo, right before they found Mitch was pregnant with twins a second time. Mitch's stomach was bigger than it was the first couple of times, but he still had a smile on his face. He held N.J in his arms, her eyes open for the photo while Alex was being held by Scott. He was asleep, oblivious to the picture. Melody was the only child smiling, her one tooth making Scott's heart ache. He looked at himself, being envious of the gleam in his eyes.
"I...I..."
Alyssa put two and two together, gasping as she began to cry. She began to hug Scott herself, shaking her head as she held onto him.
"Oh my gosh, no! No!"
"I'm so sorry. I have to go to Europe to defeat them. If I say no, Mitch and I will be executed."

Tori walked back and forth, crying into her hands as Avi made endless phone calls. So far, they have had no luck.
"I am missing my baby. She is one, almost two in four months. I need her back. Please!"
"Okay, Sir. May you describe her please?"
"She has curly brown hair, brown eyes, a birthmark under her chin,
and she was wearing pajamas with music notes on them. She had a bow in her hair and she...she."
A sob cut off Avi, making him cry quietly. Tori took a deep breath, taking the phone from him to answer it.
"Please find her. I don't care about his stupid twenty four or forty eight rule. Please find my daughter! She's only one!"
"We'll get right on it, Mrs. Kaplan. We will not stop until we find her. We refuse to have another kidnaping here."
"Thank you," Tori chocked out, shaking a bit. She sat down, feeling a bit dizzy. "Thank you for your time."
"You're welcome. If you could, please send us a photo of her. It will make our search easier."
"Okay, I will do so later. Bye."
She hang up the phone quickly, putting her head on the table as she cried loudly. Avi put a hand on her back, shushing her as quietly as he could.
"Tori, we'll find her. I prom-"
"But what if we don't?! What if we're like that family who lost their daughter for eighteen years?! We won't see her grow, Avi! I refuse to let that happen!"
"Tori, ba-"
"Don't do that to me, Avriel! You know perfectly well that the police will give up when they haven't even tried! They'll only search until they feel like they're satisfied! The families of missing loved ones are never satisfied! WE'LL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN!"
Tori fell back on her chair, crying loudly as she hugged her stomach. Avi held her tightly, brushing her curly hair back gently.
"Tori, shhh. We'll find her. I swear on my life."
"I...I..."
"Shh, baby. It's okay. Everything will be okay."
"But what if it's not? What will we do then? Fight until we find her? What if it takes more than ten years, uh? What happens if we find her, but she's..."
Tori sobbed again, shaking her head as covered her eyes. Avi pulled her in, putting her on his lap to calm her down.
"She won't be dead, Tori. She will be okay and she'll be in our arms again, safe and sound."
Tori nodded, swallowing the everlasting lump in her throat. She let go of Avi's embrace, looking at him seriously.
"I'm just letting you know right now that if something does happen to Jordyn, Haley will never replace her. We will love them equally, even if Jordyn is...yeah. We will give Haley the love we gave Jordyn while making sure she doesn't think that she is a replacement. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal, my angel."
Tori blushed a bit, kissing Avi sweetly. Avi smiled, putting his hands on the small belly. He sighed happily, brushing Tori's hair back sweetly.
"You know, if Haley ends up being a boy..."
"No, we will not name him Scömìche."
"But..."
"Nor Benessi..."
"Bu-"
"Nor Kevlyssa. Avi, what is your problem with ships?"
"There is no problem. I am just living up to the fact that I am a citizen that had the right to speak up for himself and has Freedom of Speech. Check...mate."
Tori rolled her eyes playfully, looking at a picture of Jordyn. She sighed sadly, putting a hand over her heart as her other hand touched the picture lovingly.
"We'll find you, Jordyn. I promise with all my heart that we'll find you."
I promise, sweet baby girl.
A/N: This chapter is definitely happier than the last couple of chapters, lol. This might be the last sort-of happy chapter though so I apologize in advanced.:( Also, I will let you guys decide if there should be a fifth book. The ending of this book will determine the fate of the Different series. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed the chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
