WARNING: Panic attack

Mitch was quiet the entire time on the ride to Sacramento, Scott not even talking to him once. This made Mitch happy because he knew that if he spoke, he would start crying because Scott is leaving for a long time.

"Mitchy?"

Mitch jumped, looking at Scott with wide eyes. The Alpha pointed to the airport, his blue eyes full of tears. Mitch nodded, taking a deep breath as he opened his door.

"Are you ready to go?"

Scott nodded, turning off the car and opening his own door. Mitch swallowed the growing lump in his throat, getting out of th me car quietly. Scott went out too, closing the door quietly as he wrapped his arm around Mitch. A little kid saw him, widening his eyes as he walked up to Scott. He pointed at Scott's badge, tilting his head a bit.

"What's dat?"

Scott looked down at his badge, smiling weakly as the little looked up at him. Mitch felt a tear in his cheek, wiping it quickly as he started to walk. Scott was quick to follow him, waving goodbye to the little boy as his mom dragged him away.

"That's my name badge! People get to know who I am. My name is Scott!"

"Bye, Scott!"

Scott nodded, taking deep breaths as he saw Mates saying goodbye to their loved ones. He saw Kelsey writing some stuff down and talking to Council Members silently, patting the backs of their Mates. Kelsey saw Scott, smiling weakly as she walked up to him.

"I'm so sorry, Scott. I didn't want you to be enlisted, but The Council forced me to. It's like some are The Pioneers."

"Tell me about it," Scott murmured, shaking his head. Kelsey wrote something down and handed Scott some dog tags from her pocket, shaking as she did so. "What is this for?"

"It's...um...your identification of you are found...dead."

Mitch gasped, putting his hand over his mouth. He had his other hand at side, trying his best to keep it from shaking crazily. He shook his head, looking at Kelsey seriously.

"He is not going to die. He is going to come home and everything will be okay. He will win and end The Pioneers. He might change the rule about couples being executed for not wanting to fight. He is going to win and everything will be okay, okay?"

Kelsey nodded, tearing up as she patted Scott's back. Another couple came, obviously on the younger side. Kelsey hugged Scott carefully, walking over to the couple so that Scott and Mitch could talk.

"Scott?"

Scott nodded, looking over at his husband. His heart broke when the tears welling up in Mitch's eyes, wanting nothing more than to wipe them away. Mitch took a deep breath, wiping his eyes as he looked at his husband seriously.

"You are going to win this war. You are going to come home and our children will be back. We will watch our beautiful children grow up. We're going to tell them about Macy and about how much she loves them. Heck, we'll have another kid if you want to. You are going to come home after this war is over and we will be a Pack again.

"Jordyn will be back too and she is going to date Melody. Ben and Jessi are going to be married, even though they aren't talking to each other right now. Kevin and Alyssa will have 'No First Name Yet' Joshua Olusola and Avi and Tori will have Haley Anne. All of our kids will have their own Pack, even though there are nine of them. We are going to watch them grow and get married and then we're going to die together, okay?"

"Flight 298 is leaving for England in thirty minutes."

Mitch hugged Scott, crying into his shoulders as Kelsey walked back up to them. Scott separated himself from Mitch, putting a hand on his cheek as a tear made its way down his cheek.

"You're my best friend."

Mitch hiccuped, nodding as Kelsey let him kiss Scott one last time. He separated himself, walking away slowly.

"You're my best friend."

Don't be surprised if he loves someone else. He doesn't want someone who lost their child.

Ben smiled when Tori give him a list o chores to do, reading them carefully as he walked into the kitchen. Scott and Mitch left early this morning so that the Alpha could leave for Europe. Kelsey is supposed o be driving Mitch home and he should be back at anytime now.

"Tor, make sure that The Little Mermaid is playing when Mitch comes home. Ben, make sure that a bowl of GoldFish is on the living room table. Jessi, ma-"

Ben stopped what he was doing, nearly ripping the list in half. A smile grew on his face, jumping a bit as he looked for Jessi crazily.

"Jessi's home?!"

Avi shook his head sadly, causing Ben to frown too. He sighed, sitting on the chair as his eyes welled up in his eyes.

"I thought they were home."

"I'm so sorry, Ben. That was my fault. I should have been more thoughtful of that. I'm so sorry."

"I accept your apology, Alpha Avi. You didn't know."

Avi sighed, looking back at Tori as he opened the Omega Cabinet. He took out some coloring books, crayons, and puzzles for Mitch so he could have something to focus on when Scott isn't here.

And only God knows how long Mitch needs to have something that took his focus away from Scott.

"I can't believe this," Tori spoke up, shaking her head. Avi looked at her, nodding a bit. "Jordyn's gone, the Grassi-Hoyings kids are gone, Jessi's gone, Scott is going to be in Europe for only God knows how long! I wonder what's happening with Kevin and Alyssa. I really hope nothing is happening to them."

Avi nodded in agreement as the doorbell rang, causing Tori to play The Little Mermaid quickly. Avi opened the door, smiling when he saw Kelsey and Mitch on the other side.

"Hey," Kelsey replied quietly, putting a hand on Mitch's back, her voice shaking slightly. Mitch looked unemotional, his eyes red and sore from crying so hard. "I'll tell you guys when Scott could home tomorrow. It will most likely be more than a year."

Mitch let a tear roll down his cheek, his face crumpling as he began to cry again. Tori was quick to get him, leading him to the couch so he could his all time favorite movie. Ben gave him the bowl of GoldFish, pushing back the newly dyed blond hair. Mitch watched the movie in silence, nibbling on his first GoldFish as tears rolled down his cheeks. Avi sighed sadly, looks back at Kelsey.

"Thank you, Mama Alpha. Stay safe, okay?"

"I will. You guys stay safe too, okay? Your Lead Alpha isn't here."

"Of course. Thank you for driving him here."

"You're welcome. I have to go now. Bye."

Avi waved goodbye, frowning when he saw Mitch curled up in a ball. His head is on Tori's lap, making her leggings wet from his cheeks. Tori ran her fingers through Mitch's hair, looking up at Avi with tears in her eyes.

"He's sad, Avi. Very sad."

"I know, Tori. I know."

They watched The Little Mermaid quietly, pausing it right away when it came to the part where Erik fell into the ocean. Mitch began to breathe heavily, shaking his head as tears rolled down his cheeks even more.

"No, Scott. No, no, no! Don't die, please! I need you! I need you!"

Tori helped Mitch tightly, hoping to calm him down. Nothing worked, causing her to sing quietly.

Mitch fell asleep, bringing a smile to everyone's faces. The doorbell rang, causing Ben to stand up quickly.

"I'll get it."

Avi nodded, looking back at the sleeping Special. Ben smiled, opening the door quickly. His smile dropped quickly, his eyes widening at the sight.

"Je-Jessi?!"

"I do."

"So, here's the thing with the surgery. Kevin will be out under anesthesia, but he will have to stay awake. Brain surgeries require people to stay up."

Alyssa nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat as she held Kevin's hand. Kevin had his brave face on, ready for the surgery.

Even if he dies or lives.

"He will have to go to rehab afterwards, of course. I don't know how long, but it will take awhile for him to heal."

"Of course," Alyssa mumbled, holding Kevin's hand tighter. "Um, I have one question."

"Ask me all you want."

"Will the surgery...affect his rank? He's a Beta."

The doctor sighed, looking at his notes quickly. He looked back up, nodding in response. Alyssa gasped, looking up at Kevin while tears gathered in her eyes.

I don't want to do this anymore.

"Rehab will help with that though. Yes, his intelligence score will most like go down to a different stage. Rehab will help fix that and bring it back to normal, but he will never be back at his original score. I'm sorry, Ma'am."

"You don't need to be sorry. You're doing your job. Alyssa and I will be happy with whatever happens. We will always love each other besides anything that happens. I could be the stupidest man alive and realize how much I love Alyssa. This surgery may affect my score, but it will not affect the love I have for the beautiful woman sitting right next to me."

Alyssa put her hand on her chest, crying as Kevin kissed her forehead sweetly. The doctor smiled sweetly, getting out his calendar so he could set up the date for the surgery.

"In order for the surgery to be effective, we have to gave this week. I have an opening next week on the holiday. Is that okay with you two?"

Alyssa looked up at Kevin, letting him answer this. He nodded, ready to sign the papers that will allow the surgery. The doctor gave him some papers, smiling weakly as he looked at the couples.

"I'll have you know that I have preformed this surgery multiple times and everyone has survived. Yes, there was some complications that were never fixed, but their memory came back clear as day. You two are making a smart decision and I am honored that I am doing the surgery. You guys will not regret this surgery."

"I know," Kevin replied playfully, handing the doctor his papers. He stood up, stretching a bit. "Thank you, doc. Let's go, Lyssa."

Alyssa nodded, waving goodbye to the doctor. They walked outC kissing each other sweetly before heading out to the car. Alyssa smiled softly, holding Kevin's hand and kissing it.

"I love you, Kevin. You are so brave for doing this. I lo-"

"Who are you?"

A/N: Cliffhanger.;) I have a couple of ideas and I can't wait for them.:) They are so good and I can't wait to use them. They are going to make the story more exciting and I can't wait!
