Will's POV

Will wakes up, sun shining in his eyes as his alarm clock blares "Bring Me to Life." He's wide awake instantly, hurrying to turn off the awful singing and poorly written lyrics that he's grown somewhat fond of. Will checks his phone, and remembers that it's the day he starts voicing for the new anime he's in.

Will gets out of bed and brushes his teeth, humming the song stuck in his head. He pulls out black skinny jeans and a sweatshirt, jumping around as he tries to get the jeans on. He runs his hands through his hair, trying to get knots out of his curly blond hair.

Don't freak out, Will thinks to himself. You've done voice acting before, you're just voicing a character now. Not a huge deal.

Will grabs his black beanie and starts walking to the bus stop. He looks at his script, almost running into a few people as he does so.

Will arrives at the small animation studio 15 minutes later and he can feel his heart pounding. He walks in and is greeted by the person at the desk. "Hello, Rachel," Will says, reading the name tag on the desk.

"Hi, welcome to our humble animation studio. May I ask your name?" Rachel asks, brushing her red hair from her face.

"Oh! Yes, I'm Will Solace. I'm voicing a character in the new anime," Will says politely, bouncing his foot nervously.

"We've been waiting for you. Go down the hall and make a right. You want to talk to Piper before you start anything," Rachel says with a smile. Will shouts a thanks as he walks down the hallway.

Will knocks on the door and a cheery voice says, "Come in!" He opens the door and is immediately pulled into a strong handshake.

"Hello, you must be Will. I'm Piper, I'm in charge of this whole thing," Piper speaks quickly, probably from all of the coffee and five hour energies he sees on a desk behind her. "Annabeth is our writer and Percy, her boyfriend, is the coffee boy. If you need anything, ask him. I assume you are familiar with the script?"

"Uh. Yes, I've read all of the scripts so far," Will says, noticing Piper bouncing on her heels.

"Wonderful," Piper says, obviously relieved. "You can go straight into the recording studio. Leo, the repair boy and tech advisor will show you what to do. Jason, my wonderful boy friend will tell you what to say and do and whatever. Your fellow voice actors, Hazel, Frank, Reyna, and Cecil, finished up their scenes. Bye, lovely meeting you. Can't wait to work with you."

Will is shoved out the door and walks across the hall to the recording studio. He walks in and is amused by the set up. The mic is attached to a stand by duct tape and the stool legs are uneven.

"Hi, Leo Valdez," a boy with curly brown hair says, sticking his hand out.

"Will Solace," Will says, shaking Leo's hand. "Nice to meet you."

"Put these headphones on and Jason, who is behind the glass, will get you started. Just be careful sitting down on the stool and please don't touch the mic, it might break or shock you, I'm not 100% sure," Leo says, running out the door.

"Hello, Will, I'm Jason," Will hears through some speakers. "We're just going to get started, okay? But before you start reading your lines, I want you to introduce yourself and say a few things about yourself. It's for the animator to see, or I guess hear, what you sound like so they can create a character to match your voice."

"Oh. Okay," Will says, putting on the headphones.

"Okay. Start talking."

"Um. Hi, I'm Will Solace...."

Nico's POV

"Um. Hi, I'm Will Solace."

Woah.

Nico pauses the audio right there. He sits up straight, putting his feet on the ground. The voice he heard made his heart beat fast, the sweet and smooth tone reminded Nico of hot chocolate, warm and perfect.

"Uh, I like long walks on the beach," Will says jokingly. He's funny.

"Ugh. My favorite TV show is Sherlock," He better ship Johnlock.

"I love to read books," Smart.

"There's nothing really special about me, to be honest. I'm nothing extraordinary," Will says with a laugh that made Nico's heart jump. Nico leans backward, closing his eyes and imagining what Will Solace could look like.

"I've always secretly wanted to become a spy. Does that count as something? I've actually look up the requirements online," Will says and Nico could tell he's comfortable in front of a microphone.

Nico grabs a pen and starts to write down characteristics. His face grows hot when he starts to sketch him, tall and built, with beautiful features that makes Nico weak in the knees.

Don't forget that you're making him up, this is a character. Will Solace is a real person, but this thing on the paper is not, Nico reminds himself.

Nico draws a small grin on the face, one he imagines the voice having.

"Jason, is that enough?" Will asks. There's a pause, Nico assumes Jason answers, then Will laughs, causing Nico's heart to flutter. "I guess that's it." Another pause. "Okay, whatever Jason. Um. Time to start with the lines, I guess."

Nico's heart pounds against his chest as he hears Will reading the lines with his perfectly expressive voice.

Just a voice and a character, Nico reminds himself.

Will messes up a line and starts to laugh, filling Nico's chest with a warm feeling.

But maybe the real thing is actually better.

A/N: So, this is the first chapter. It's really bad, I know, trust me. I apologize. I just needed to establish a few things. It's really bad. I promise that the writing will get better as the story progresses and that the chapters will be longer. I'm really excited for what is to come, but for now I have to leave you with this mess. (I might post the second chapter tonight, but I'm not sure.) If you don't know, I've also written another story and a collecting of oneshots/headcanons that are way better than this story.
