*The next day at practice*

Bokuto [POV]

I got to practice my heart pounding in my chest.  Would Akaashi be back?  I didn't see him during school but it's not like we were in any of the same classes, we weren't even in the same year.  I scanned over the faces of our teammates but I didn't see him

"Coach, where's Akaashi?" I asked going up to our coach

"I think that he's still in the hospital though I don't know what's going on with him myself" he explained bluntly

"Hospital?" I exclaimed, our coach furrowed his eyebrows

"Right, sorry I forgot that no one else knew that Akaashi went to the hospital yesterday" he explained

"Oh so he's not going to be at practice today?  Is he okay?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows concerned

"I don't know what's going on right now but he might be at practice tomorrow, but I don't know how serious it is so don't get your hopes up" he scolded

"Okay" I muttered glumly

"Don't worry about it Bokuto" He reassured me

"Yeah" I nodded, Coach frowned as I walked away to help set up for practice.  I couldn't focus on it at all though and kept thinking about Akaashi.  I decided that I would visit him in the hospital after practice.  I nodded to myself thinking that was a pretty good idea

"Bokuto you're distracted" Coach pointed out

"Sorry I was just thinking" I apologized scratching at the back of my neck awkwardly.  I chewed on my lower lip and continued with what I was doing.  After practice I quickly changed back into my everyday clothes and slung my bag over my shoulder and ran down the street to the hospital but I underestimated how far the hospital was from the school and was completely out of breath by the time I got there.

"Hello may I help you?" The receptionist asked me smiling kindly

"Is....., Akaashi, Keiji here?" I asked breathlessly 

"May I ask your relationship with him?" she asked

"I'm his friend from school and we're on the same volleyball team" I explained

"I see, yes he is here you're free to visit him, he's in room 3241" she told me 

"Thank you" I bowed quickly hurrying down the hallway to the elevator lobby.  I waited for the elevator to come down after I pressed the button.  When it finally did I stepped in and pressed the button for the third floor, I couldn't sit still the whole 30 seconds it took.  I was excited but at the same time I was nervous for some reason.  The elevator pinged and I sped walked down the hallway reading the number plates outside the door as I walked.  I didn't pay much attention until I saw '3230', I looked at every plate from then on carefully reading closely until I got to 3241, underneath was a note card with "Akaashi Keiji" written on it.  I knocked before I opened it.  Akaashi was standing by the window wearing the typical hospital gown.  I smiled, maybe if he was strong enough to stand maybe he could come back to school tomorrow but then I realized he should be resting.  

"Akaashi shouldn't you be resting if you passed out yesterday?" I asked though he didn't turn around or even acknowledge my presence.  I took a step into the room and was about to approach him when I heard a woman's voice from the hallway

"Who are you?"
