JUNIOR YEAR

Its officially my junior year and that means that this is Asher's Senior Year. Hannah was telling me that he is absolutely stressed. But she didn't need to tell me that. I got an apartment off campus with him and literally his room is a pig sty.

Asher always cleans his room. Its never dirty.

For a musical performer, they have to basically have a show dedicated to them. Since he is a song writer, he is having some people sing his songs. But he has to sing a lot of songs too. He was going through which songs he wanted to keep and what he wanted to throw out.

One thing is for certain, I am singing in one of his songs. Even Hannah and Tammy have a song in there.The requirements are : A song in a different language, his own written song, a song covering the styles R&B, Pop, and one of his choice and one them has to be a solo piece.

I am singing in his different language piece with Tammy and Tyler is dancing to it with one her male dancer friends. We are watching the dance that is going with it today and Asher is nervous.

"Did you text, Tyler? Will her and her friend be ready to show me today?" I grab my coffee and sip it.

"Yeah she said they will be able to perform it fully today." Asher only seen a couple of clips.

"Sorry we are late!" Yells the male dancer as Tyler runs with a bagel with her mouth holding her bags that are barely on her arms. I smirk at the scene. I nod at his friend and walk over to a disheveled Tyler.

She drops her bags, "On a scale of 1 to 100 how mad is he?"

"Hm.... 60? But that was partially my fault. I forgot the lyrics to a part of song when we were practicing earlier."

In regards to me and Tyler, nothing has really happened. We are still the same close as ever but we haven't talked or even mentioned anything about moving it to the next step. We have known each other for 3 years now and every day My care for her runs deeper. But I being my father's child is still scared to make first moves on things like this. So nothing has happened.

"COME ON GUYS~~~" Says Asher annoyed.

Hannah walks up slowly and whispers to the both of us, "Don't get me wrong. The man is the love of my life but i swear to god if this event doesn't happen quick i will kill him."

We all sit in and watching Tyler perform their dance to the song.

It is flawless. I can tell she is getting better every year. Our schedules are all getting packed because of the fact its junior year, but because we are literally making sure everyone has a spot in our performances we still see each other.

I even have a pieces I am singing for the dance department. One of the seniors asked if i could sing to one of their dances. Its the same recital that Tyler got a solo dance in. Add my classes I am still taking and you can see why we are exhausted all the time.

"Can you guys change the ending? It's not terrible but it doesn't quite fit right." Asher asks.

"Of Course what do you have in mind?" Tyler asks. Asher explains what he doesn't want and i get a call from one of the seniors i am working with.

"Will you be able to come sometime around 8?"

"I will do my best! I would just be getting out of class."

"Ok i'll see you then." I hang up the phone and turn around. Everyone is looking at me.

"Sorry."

"GOODNESS WE CANT EVEN FOCUS ON ONE TASK!!" Hannah says frazzled.

The male dancer leaves and Tyler sits on the floor.

"I feel like I don't see you guys anymore unless its for school." Tammy says. Hannah hugs Asher and kisses him on the cheek to try and calm him down.

"We need a break to do something together... Thanksgiving break isn't too far away." Tammy adds.

"We can all go to PA and hang with my family. My family is huge and they actually have been on my ass about inviting you guys." I offer. "They swore they would kill me if I came home without you guys again."

"That's right we haven't been to your place." Asher says.

"Then lets do it! Lets go to Cesar's house for Thanksgiving break!" They all agree.

"Then its settled they will be glad to hear it and I can live to see another year."

Thanksgiving break comes faster than expected and it came at a perfect time. We all get into Asher's car and travel up down to PA. Asher and Hannah sit in the front hold hands. In the back was me, Tyler, and Tammy. Tyler fell asleep on my shoulder for most of the ride.

I move some of her hair from her face and then fall asleep too.

When we started getting close to my house I was helping them get to my house.

I am back at the old stomping grounds. I get out of the car with stuff and walk up the driveway.

"You have a nice house too!" Asher points out.

"My other dad made it for my family." I explain. Tammy looks at me funny.

"Other dad? Like a step dad?" I ring the door bell.

"I think its easier if you just see for yourself." I say. My mother opens the door and literally is in tears.

Here we go.

"CESAR! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE HOME!" I hug my mom.

"Hey mom." She looks past me and literally gives all my friends a hug.

"My name is Rose but you can call me Rosie. I am Cesar's mother! Bonnie! R.J.! Sweetheart!, vamos abajo Cesar esta en casa!" We all walk in and R.J and Bonnie run down the stairs to see me.

"CESAR!" yells my sister I hug her super tight.

"You are getting sooo big! What are you like 15?!"

"Idiot! I am 13!" I give R.J. our normal handshake.

"Whats up! How's Med School?"

" Just finishing up in my last year ! I all ready got a placement for residency."

"Adrian should be out of college by now right?" He nods. "He finished his bachelor's last year. But this year he took a 1yr internship in museum in London."

"Cesar are you not going to introduce us to your friends?" asks my Father. They all looked at him shock and in terror. Its usually the look everyone has when the meet my dad for the time. My family gathers as they look at my friends with bright smiles.

I bring my friends over. " Family these are my friends. Asher, Tammy, Hannah, and Tyler. Friends these is my family. My dad Lance, my mom Rosie, my little sister Bonnie, and my older brother R.J."

"IS CESAR HERE!?" Yells Adrian as he walks through the door. Emma follows behind with her fiance, Derek, Momma Torsha, And Papa Riccardo with their little sister Natalie.

My friends are overwhelmed. I give everyone a hug.

"IS everyone here because I am going to introduce everyone now!"

"Kai and his boyfriend isn't here yet!" Adrian adds. Yeah some how in the midst of high school drama few years back Kai some how became included in family gatherings.

"Right.. Right we should wait for them."

My friends pull me aside. "This is your whole family minus two people!?!" Tammy whispers violently. "WHO ARE YOU!? How are you so chill with a family like this!?"

"You weren't kidding... You can have your own basketball game with a couple of subs to boot." I look at Tyler to she her reaction and she looks terrified. To her im sure she sees 10 people who don't know ASL s that she somehow needs to figure out a way to interact with. I need to make sure she feel comfortable here.
