PLOT:

WILLOW HARRISON DOESN'T HAVE MANY friends — at least not since her brother murdered their parents and publicly pledged his allegiance to the rising Dark Lord. Ever since that night, the once popular and friendly girl became more quiet and reserved. With every intention of fleeing to France as soon as she graduates, the teenager resolves to keep her head down during her final year, whether that be by hiding out with the house elves in the kitchens or chatting over rock cakes with Hagrid. And that's fine because emotional attachments are not part of her plan. Remus Lupin is not part of her plan.

Without warning, world is forever changed when an early morning trip to Hagrid leads to Willow stumbling upon a naked boy outside of the Shrieking Shack. Suddenly four boisterous Gryffindors are determined to be the ones to make her smile again, forcing their way into her life and forcing her to throw out the sense of structure and rules she had relied on amidst her raging grief. Even as the Marauders push her outside of comfort zone and challenge her in ways she could never imagine, she is ultimately thankful for their friendship . . . or maybe more in the case of a werewolf in which she finds a twin flame in.

EXTRA DETAILS:

— I don't really want the name Willow to be changed because it's based on the song, but it also links to the Whomping Willow being the thing that 'protects' Remus when he transforms.
— Willow visits Hagrid early morning when one of his latest pets escape. She chases it into the forest and finds Remus, naked, after his werewolf transformation. Of course this is to her amusement and Remus' embarrassment, causing him to track her down to apologise.
— Willow and Remus bond over their tragic pasts, both carrying a lot of scars and guilt. When her brother turned to dark magic, she managed to hide in a closet and her parents lied she was at a sleepover, meaning she is the only survivor. Willow carries both physical (burns) and emotional scars. Most of her isolation is self-imposed because she doesn't feel she deserved friendship or love after what her brother did.
— The Marauders make it their 'mission' to get Willow to smile/laugh again and do many ridiculous things to achieve this.
— Her best class is Care of Magical Creatures and she eventually figures out what Remus is.
