this chapter is based on season 1 episode 1 - A Hard Day's Night
July 1st, 2006
Rebecca Grey was woken up rather abruptly by the sound of the front door opening and slamming shut, sending her heart into a hammering mess. She slowly lifted her head from where she was laying, her grey eyes fleeting across the scenery before her, uncovered mobilia, white sheets, discarded clothes and as she followed the trail of discarded clothes, a man sleeping on the ground beside the couch she was laying on.
Heavy footsteps were heard as they came closer to the couch in which she was laying naked, covered by nothing, leaving every scenario to be imagined by her sister. "Becca!" her older sister whisper shouted, the blonde woman slowly turned her head to look at her incoming sister, her cheeks flaming greatly as Meredith Grey came into her line of sight.
Meredith's blonde hair was in a complete state of disarray and Rebecca could only guess that hers was just like her sister's, "Becca!" Meredith whisper shouted again, screwing her eyes shut, at least that's what Rebecca thought she was doing, a low groan resonated from Becca's throat alerting the older Grey sister that her younger sister was awake.
Meredith turned to the couch, the living room couch, the only couch in the couch that sat more than one person and looked almost amusingly proud.
Meredith's mouth opened, and stayed opened for a few moments as she tried to come up with something to say, only for her to close it and peek over to the ground next to the couch, a small smirk instantly growing on her lips while a furious blush grew on Rebecca's face, "Kick him out. We're late. Like extremely late." Meredith told her sister, with a wink before scurrying up the stairs as quietly as she could.
Rebecca scrunched her nose up in annoyance burried her face into the armrest of the sofa for a moment before sitting up, the cool air of the house making goosebumps appear all over her skin and causing her to shiver slightly.
Her fingers gingerly pried the blanket of the naked man's lower body and threw it around her body before she picked up the pillow that she'd been using and raised it, her eyes linguered on the naked arse of her hook up for a second longer than they should've before she dropped the pillow on it, making the man jolt awake much like she had.
A small smile grew on Becca's lips at the sight of the man jolting awake, the way he made it look natural, to be awoken so suddenly.
She maneuvers around him to gather all of her belongings from the previous night, sneaking a peak at the clearly slightly older man that laid on her living room floor, watching him move his arm forward and pick up her strapless bra, unknowingly make the memory of him taking it off her the previous night flash through her mind.
"This...is?" he begins, allowing Becca to snatch her bra back while biting back a smile.
"Humiliating on so many levels. You have to go." she replies as she walks to the other side of the couch. There was a certain ache in her legs that changed into soreness to the rest of her body, a clear reminder of her activities that should've bee done in the comforts of her bedroom.
"Why don't you just come back down here and we'll pick up where we left off?" the dreamy looking man offered teasingly, watching as Becca's eyes dared venture down for a brief moment before they flew back up to his gorgeous blue eyes, a smirk clear on his lips.
"We picked back up several times, on several pieces of my furnitures." Becca reminded, raising a brow to , leaning over the couch just slightly to tease him "And as tempting as your offer is, the answer is no, I'm late. Which isn't what you want to be on your first day of work." she added as she pulled back and stood straighter, keeping her eyes on the man.
Her hand attempted to fix her hair ever so gently while she watched him pull on his underpants and jeans on, leaving him still topless.
"So, ah, you actually live here." the man stated, not missing how Becca didn't attempted not to look at him.
At her one night-stand's words, Becca's mood turned sour, the reminder of who the original owner of the house was. "Kind of." she replied with a grim smile, finally tearing her eyes away from the gorgeous man and lowering them to her bare feet.
The man was a surprised with the reply, never really having gotten it before, even if he hadn't been in this kind of situation before, not in a long time at least. "Oh. It's nice. Little dusty. Odd. But it's nice. So how do you kind of live here?" the dreamy man quizzed once more, attempting to squeeze more details out of the woman he had slept with the previous night.
"I moved two weeks ago from Boston with my sister, it was my mother's house. She wants to sell it." Becca laughed awkwardly, keeping her grey eyes on her feet, her answer made the man frown, a sad look flash across his idyllic features as he told her honestly.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
This confused the youngest Grey, causing her to furrow her brows as she raised her eyes to meet his brilliant blue ones and counter "For what?"
"You said was." the half-naked man clarified, making the blonde woman's eyes widen in comprehension.
"Oh! My mother's not dead, she's just not around much." Becca explained, shaking her head as she spoke, "We don't have to do the thing." her eyes locked with his again after aan inhale, watching as a mischievous look took over them.
"Oh. We can do anything you want." he told her in reply.
A breathy chuckle left Becca's lips "My sister's upstairs." she countered, not really declining his offer.
"We'll just have to be quiet." he continued, although the smirk on his lips reminded both of them that they weren't necessarily quiet together. With a shirt in hand, the man countered the couch and approached Becca swifly, looking much like a model on a runway that would appear on a magazine.
"Look, I'm gonna go upstairs and take a shower, a cold one, okay. And when I get back down here, you won't be here otherwise my sister will kill you." Becca affirmed, her cheeks now looking like she was just splashed with a tomato juice smoothie, forcing her eyes to detach themselves from the man's mid-section and return to his eyes respectfully.
The man continued to approach her until he stood completely in front of her, until he raised his hand to brush her hair away, much like he had many times during their several intimate encounters during the previous night. An action that Becca leaned away from, knowing that if he did touch her, she would be weak and give in.
"So goodbye Derek." She told him, the man's lips on the tip of her tongue, leaning backwards, holding onto her resolve of telling the man, Derek, to leave, and not giving into to primal feelings.
"Goodbye Becca." he replied, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her close to him, flush against him. Allowing him to merely lean forward so their faces were inches apart and his eyes needn't travel too far to her lips.
His intention to break Becca's resolve worked ever so slightly, as she did reach for his chin while still clutching the blanket that gave her a small semblance of decency, before pulling him down to meet her lips.
A final kiss, a quick kiss to end their one night stand before she pulled away from him and pushed him away from her before turning towards the stairs.
Derek laughed as he watched Becca run up the stairs, moving a hand to her behind and keeping it there to ensure that the blanket didn't rise as she rushed up the stairs. It was a memory that he was sure that he wanted to keep in his mind.
He moved to Seattle to get a new start, a new life, to meet new people and to get away from his wife. Perhaps Becca could help him move from the innexistant feeling of betrayal that he was still waiting to feel as reality set in.
If only he asked her for her number before she had the chance to throw him out, or before the two of them got completely hammered.
