|16| Departure
Nicole
Coach glanced down at his watch, "Okay, that seems like everything. Any questions?"
Jaden raised his hand, "Uh, yeah... When does our plane leave?"
"At 5 am. 3 hours from now."
"Hold up! We only get, what? 2 hours of sleep?" Jaden asked with concern.
Coach shook his head at him, "No... You've got the plane ride to sleep. We're heading there now."
"That's not fair." Jaden sighed
"Well, maybe you would've had more time if you two had shown up to the meeting."
I sighed, "It doesn't matter now. We have to get going, they'll leave if we're late."
"Exactly." Coach Jackson agreed. "Alright then, pack what you need then meet me out to the limo, asap. Good luck, you two."
We both nodded and Coach nodded in return before exiting.
After the door closed Jaden raised an eyebrow at me, "You guys have a private jet?"
"Of course. What, did you think we used, an airport?"
He chuckled, "It's just that I had never seen one since I've been here."
"We don't keep them here. All of our copters, planes, and jets are kept together at a separate facility."
He nodded then rubbed the back of his neck, questions still wondering on his expression. He then chuckled softly, "Speaking of keeping things together... Mind explaining what all that was about?"
The moths in my gut were waking again. I knew exactly what he was referring to. I could tell just by the way he looked at me.
I sighed, half ready to hear it, "What was what?"
He smiled, his grey-brown eyes laughing at me, "Earlier... You, and me."
I shrugged, not knowing how to respond. "I... It was... Out of stupidity."
"Really...?" he asked, walking towards me, my eyes flicking down to watch as his feet stepped closer. "Because, I thought it was something more," he smirked in a way that caused me to stay rooted in my spot, even as he tilted my chin up to look at him as he inched near to me. His gentle touch made my heart skip a beat, instantly making my cheeks flush red.
The sight of his body so close to mine brought my forbidden cravings back. I hated this feeling now. Hated it! But at the same time, I didn't want to stop him.
"I felt that it was something more..." he almost whispered before dipping down to me. Our lips locked for half a second before I shoved him off which only made him chuckle.
I rubbed my forehead stressfully, "Now's not the time, Jaden. Hurry up and start packing." I pushed him towards the door. I needed space from him. I didn't want to see any more of him right now. He only distracted me.
He stopped at the door and turned to me, smiling and reaching for my hand, "We have more than enough time. I can stay a little longer."
I yanked my hand back, "Don't tou- just go!"
I opened the door and shoved him out. His face showed confusion but he thankfully didn't say anything. I took a calming breath, "Every second counts, Jaden. Just get your things together and meet with the rest of us out at the limo. Don't forget important gears and weapons, got it?"
He smiled, "Got it. See ya later, Nicki."
I half nodded then quickly shut the door, letting out a deep breath I didn't realize I was holding.
What's gotten into me?
What I did with Jaden was unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm disappointed in myself for it. I made myself vulnerable to him, and I felt vulnerable kissing him. I gave into him faster than a flying bullet.
A bullet that I wouldn't mind getting shot with.
No! Never.
I shook the thought out of my brain and headed to my room. I pulled my suitcases out from under my bed and began throwing in clothes and products into one bag and weapons and gears into the other.
Since this mission was going to be at some circus show, I thought it'll be fun to do some shanking with one of my favorite tiger claw knives. It's a gorgeous pink and gold knife I got as a gift from one of my previous missions in Africa. It's been some time since I've done some dirty work with it, I kind of missed it.
I headed to my drawer, where I've always kept it but stopped myself in front of my vanity mirror.
There was a red mark that caught my attention. A mark on my neck.
Jaden...
Seriously? I'm gonna kill him.
But now I wanted him again. My god... I yearned for him like crazy. His touch, his taste-
No! Mission. Focus.
Right, the mission. I slapped myself on the forehead a few times, This mission is what's important right now. Simon wouldn't be happy if he knew I was just standing around...
Oh shit, Simon! He can't see this mark!
I hurried and threw the rest of what I needed in the bags then rushed to the kitchen. I snatched the ice pack out of the fridge and pressed it against the mark. I've never dealt with a hickey before so I had no clue how to get rid of it.
After 5 minutes of impatiently waiting, I went to the bathroom to check if it's gotten smaller.
Nope. It looked the same.
I grabbed a washcloth then ran it under some hot water, placing that over the mark to see if that'll work instead.
Nada.
I'm screwed.
No, I'm not.
I hurried back to my room and went in my drawer to find my make up bag, quickly remembering that I had left it in my car. There wasn't enough time for me to go get it so, instead, I threw on a hoodie and let my hair down. It would have to do for now.
I took my bags and headed out to the lot. The limo was parked near the entrance and a few of the other agents assigned to this mission were already on board.
"I'll take those for you."
I turned around and saw Coach already grabbing my bags for me with a wink.
"I'll put these in the back while you find a seat inside. We're waiting on a few more people," he informed.
I nodded and climbed inside. Most of the agents were asleep in their seats. I could see why, the sun hadn't awakened yet and the owls and crickets were lulling them to sleep.
Down the aisle, I noticed that one of the agents was wearing a leg cast. I narrowed my eyes and hovered in my seat a bit to see who it was.
Rebecca?
I sighed. Of course Simon would put her on this mission. She can fool anyone with her skills of deception, I guess she doesn't need to get physical for this one. It still isn't a reason for her to risk being here with an injury.
She noticed me looking and gave me a smirk. Her face tired, yet her eyes were challenging. I responded with the same testing look she gave me, she doesn't intimidate me. If anything, she only annoyed me... A lot. She'd better stay out of my way during the mission, the lives of others are much more important than her.
Coach entered the limo, along with the rest of the team, scanning the isle. His eyes laid upon me before he made his way over to the empty spot next to my seat.
He got comfortable, rubbing his hands together, "Excited?"
"Tired." I corrected.
He shrugged, "Ah, don't worry about that, we're all staying at a nice condo for a few. You'll get enough sleep then."
"As long as I get my own room, I will." I rested my head back, closing my eyes.
He chuckled, "Yeah... About that..."
I opened one eye to look at him. About what? I thought and he must've sensed what I was thinking.
He went ahead and explained, "We're not getting our own rooms. All the girls are together, all the guys in another."
I closed my eyes again, not bothered by that, "How many bedrooms?"
"I believe it's 2 each. I have to double-check."
"2 rooms for 5 girls..." I sighed. I guess the chick I'm sharing with is taking the floor.
"It's not too bad. The place is pretty roomy," he said.
I listened to the limo start up and smoothly head for the road after everyone was seated, "It doesn't matter for now. We're here to successfully complete this task. Where I'll be sleeping is the least of my worries."
"And that's why you're my favorite client." he smiled.
Is that so...?
I chuckled softly, "I thought you didn't like picking favorites."
"I don't, which is why it took me so long to give you that title."
"Okay. What is it?" I yawned.
"What's what?"
"Your reason... Or reasons, if you will."
He gazed at me for a moment then a smile grew on his face. He rubbed his chin in thought, "Man... Where do I start? You're determined, always prepared, smart..."
I slouched a bit and got comfy, "Mhm, keep going..."
He chuckled and quietly continued, "Ah, let's see... Independent, strong, a fighter-"
"She's mean too."
I looked up and saw Jaden who decided to take a seat next to me, opposite to Coach Jackson.
Great.
Coach sighed then shifted back in his seat with a small slouch as Jaden asked, "Coach? You're on this mission?"
He shrugged, "I'm not doing any dirty work, I'm just here to supply updates to Simon while we're there."
"Oh... I was wondering why Simon wasn't getting on the limo."
Coach nodded as the limo slowed down to a stop in the facility's parking lot.
Dismissing the conversation, Coach stood up and headed to the front of the limo. He began to instruct us on what was needed to be done, the same instructions I've heard a thousand times before getting on the jet.
"Nervous?" I asked Jaden.
He smiled at me, "Not at all... You?"
I shook my head, "I can't wait, actually. I know New York like the back of my hand."
"For real?" he grinned.
I nodded, "I've been there a lot as a teenager. It's not as great as you think it is."
"What do you mean? New York is amazing."
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, in movies and fairy tales..."
With my peripheral, I could see him staring at me like he was trying to figure something out. Like an artist looking at a finished painting that didn't quite feel finished to him. It made me slightly uncomfortable until he finally looked down at his hands and spoke.
"I want to know more about your past," he said and I sighed.
No.
"Maybe later," I muttered.
I hate bringing those things up. Every time I talk about it, or even having the mere thought of it, I get flashbacks in my dreams which only stresses me out. Besides, I wouldn't want to ruin his trip by telling him stories of me getting robbed and kidnapped a few times there, it's been violent for me the last time I was there which is why I never enjoyed it.
"You should give me a tour whenever we have time." Jaden smiled sweetly.
"If we have time." I corrected.
"Alright, now everyone head over to the Jet and try to enjoy the few hours of sleep while you can," Coach announced. "Once we get to work, there won't be any time to rest, clear?"
"Clear!" Everyone responded in unison before heading out.
As we loaded onto the Jet, I made my way to the very back. It was where I've always sat whenever we were on an aircraft. If our jet was ever to malfunction, I have easy access to parachutes and I also didn't have to worry about feeling someone snore at the back of my neck or pull a prank on me while I'm asleep which I've seen happen before.
I crossed my arms and comfortably leaned my head against the wall, listening to the pilot announce our departure then later, the sound of the Jet moving down the runway.
All I could think of was how exciting this is going to be. This was going to be my first circus mission. It's been a lifelong dream to stab at some clowns and mimes.

Jaden
There was a flick to the back of my ear, startling me awake.
"Let's go, man," Tyler said in a deep, sleepy voice.
Everyone was already heading towards the exit of the Jet. I didn't want to move, my body was weighted down to this seat, begging me for a few more minutes of rest. Are we already in New York? I only felt like I've been sleeping for 10 minutes.
I groaned and used the bit of energy I had to force myself up anyways, "That was a fast ride..." I yawned.
He nodded in agreement, "We need to hurry and unpack. We don't have a lot of time to waste." he tapped my chest to help me feel more awake.
"Got you, got you." I rubbed my eyes, feeling a strong urge to sit back down and fall asleep again but that was surely not going to be happening. I headed out of the Jet and into the Condo lobby with Tyler, where everyone was waiting for Coach to check us in.
After a few, he turned back to us and began to hand each of us our key cards, "Don't lose these..." He told us. "But if you do, you have to borrow from a member until you pay for a replacement."
We nodded tiredly then he led us to the rooms. I was a little disappointed to hear that all of the guys had to be in one room and the girls in another. I kind of wanted to get the same room as Nicki.
I looked over at her as we stopped in the room halls as Coach started talking. She kept her eyes on him and paid close attention to Coach's instructions.
She's so fine and she doesn't even know it.
Since that night we kissed, she was all I could think about. I don't know what was different about her from the rest of the girls I've slept with so far but she definitely made me feel different. I wasn't finished with her at that moment. I didn't get a chance to fully worship her lips and her body. I wanted her all to myself.
Do I?
I'm probably just being curious. Yeah, that's it... I wanted to see how it was like to pleasure a beast. A crazy chick like her. Or maybe I actually do have little feelings for her. I mean, I do like her but sometimes I find myself getting seriously drawn to her, a lot more than I should sometimes. Damn, I don't know, I've never really felt for a girl before and Nicole toyed with my emotions in so many different ways that it was hard to make sense of them.
"Jaden!" Coach snapped.
I quickly looked at him with my eyes wide, "What?"
"Did you get that?"
I looked around at the others for clues but none of them cared to even give me the slightest hint, "Um, Get... What?"
He crossed his arms, "Where is your head 90 percent of the time. You don't listen to anything."
"My bad, Coach..."
He rubbed his face tiredly, "I'll explain it again for you later..."
"Thank you, Coach."
"While you're doing burpees on the balcony," he added. "As for the rest of you, get straight to work. Girls, up one floor, guys, follow me," he commanded.
I sneered, "Hold up... Did you just say, 'while doing burpees?'" I caught up to him to ask.
"Yes, sir. Learn to pay attention more."
Learn to suck this nut...
I sighed and walked passed him as he opened the door. I never understood why people told me that Jackson was cool... Even Tyler has told me he's his favorite coach to work with and Nicole is always with him but all this dude does is lurk on my dick to find reasons to get mad at me.
Tyler scanned the room as he walked in, "Seems legit... I call dibs on the couch!" he jumped over the back of the large, L-shaped orange sofa and let himself fall on the cushions.
"You want to sleep there?" I chuckled.
"It beats sleeping with other dudes."
One of the other agents, Dylan, threw his suitcase onto the living room floor. He was one of the younger agents. And when I say young, I mean young. The guy was like 16 years old. "Hey, we get separate beds." he pointed out. "I don't mind as long as I don't dream of Chewbacca from hearing you guys snore."
I laughed, "Good thing Tyler's on the couch then."
"Hey! I don't snore... Loudly..."
I dropped on the couch next to him with my leg propped up on the arm, "Doesn't matter now, I wanna see the features on this baby." I grabbed the remote to the flat screen T.V.
"Nope..." Coach grabbed it out of my hand. "You're coming with me."
"Wha- We just got here."
"Now." he demanded sternly.
Man... This boy does not like me. I don't even talk to him, what on Earth is his issue?
"Have fun?" Tyler chuckled, taking the remote.
"Shut up..." I sneered, following Coach Jackson out to the balcony.
