Chapter 14:

A/N: Sorry it has been so long since I've updated! I've had a ton of work lately, but hopefully, this week will be more light, so I can be on here more! I hope you guys enjoy, and just to give you a heads up, this is a little more adult themed towards the end. Hopefully it'll work out. Again, please enjoy!

The whole rest of the night, they trained harder than they had ever trained in their lives. They trained like their lives depended on it, which they all did. And each one faced a difficulty that night. While they trained, Kaldur drew up a strategy that would help to make sure that T'orr and the Injustice League would not win. With this plan, they would have to all work together as the team that they were, and everything had to fall perfectly into place, with no room for error. They were going to set a trap for the villains, and lure them into a place where they would be weak, not the Team. While this was going on, Kaldur noticed Raquel kept looking back at him, while he was planning their attack.

Suddenly, she moved over to him, and stood beside him at the controls for the training room. She said, "Kaldur...I'm sure you have a good plan in store for this, but this is also hitting rather close to home, don't you think? Your father and mother being against Aquaman and Atlantis? You being the son of Manta? I just don't want anything to cloud your judgement for what we must do to the enemy." Kaldur responded, "Raquel, my mind is not clouded. I know what we must do to put an end to the threat on this team. Do not worry. We will do what needs to be done." He then laid a gentle kiss upon her soft browned cheek, and smiled politely. She smiled back, and they both went hand in hand to begin their own training.

In the morning, following the Team's night of training, everyone was exhausted beyond belief. Still, they had gone through the plan and several things that could help them. As M'gann tiredly prepared breakfast for everyone, Kaldur noticed she kept turning pale...white. It wasn't like a normal person's skin tone, but it was more like her alien form. He walked up to her, and suggested, "Go lay down, M'gann. You are tired. I am sure Conner would not be too thrilled if he knew that you were doing all of this, while turning pale like a sheet, as they say." The martian nodded quietly and went to lay down, as Raquel entered, and noticed the kitchen was now vacant. Without a word, she took up where M'gann had left off, and began to work on the meal. When it was time to eat, each person sat down, and devoured the food in front of them. "I know we all trained last night, but there is still much to do. The threat is growing closer, and I am sure the Injustice League is strategizing as we are.", Kaldur explained. Heads nodded as they heard him speak as a leader would.

After they ate, everyone went to shower and change. Kaldur stayed behind, to help Raquel still. They cleared the dishes and got them put away in due time. He wished he knew what had been wrong with M'gann, just because as a leader, he was worried. Raquel said, "I noticed how white M'gann looked last night. Are you sure she should be going up against her ex when she looks so?" "I do not know, Raquel....", he answered her. "Then I will go check on h-"

Suddenly, the security system in the Cave started blaring! The voiced security declared, "Intruder alert!", over and over, and locked all exits. Kaldur and Raquel looked around surprised, then rushed to turn them off. When they had finally managed to override the system, Robin, Artemis, and Wally came running in. Conner did as well...without M'gann. "What the heck just happened!", Wally asked, his green eyes glaring, and his brows curved in a look of anger. "I do not know, but where is M'gann?", Kaldur asked. All eyes turned to Conner, and when he had nothing to say, they all ran to the martian's room, only to find it vacant! "That intruder alert was a ruse! Meant to make sure we were busy while someone took M'gann!", Robin remarked.

The team looked about the room, but saw no evidence of a fight, or of someone breaking in. It was as if whoever it was, had gone through the floor or through a wall...as a martian would. "M'gann wouldn't ever leave without telling me.", Conner growled, "Must have been that stupid ex of hers." "He's not stupid, if he managed to ruse us all into that fake alert.", Robin stated. "Nevermind how he got in. We have to find M'gann, and now.", Kaldur responded, his tattoos on his arms glowing a light blue.

He led them to the Bioship, and looked to Conner. "Why are you looking at me?", the raven asked. "You know how to pilot the Bioship because M'gann taught you, Conner. You will have to pilot the ship to find her.", Kaldur responded. Conner looked over the ship, and touched her, and at once she became alive and changed into a large enough vessel for them all. They all got in, including Raquel, and left immediately, forgetting the orders from Batman to stay put.

Meanwhile, in an old, nearly scorched warehouse, in New Orleans by the waterfront, M'gann looked up at her captor. She blinked at him, and saw his white complexion, just like hers when she was in her true form. His beady red eyes looked back at her, and he said telepathically, 'I've been looking for you for a long time, M'gann. You were crazy to believe I'd never stop searching, looking, for you.' 'T'orr, why are you doing this? Working with the Injustice League? Kidnapping me away from my friends?', the martian asked. T'orr responded, commanding, 'I can't talk to you or see you in this lie of a form. Change to your own, now.' M'gann changed to her own white form, the one that was similar to T'orr's, but only because she knew that it would keep things somewhat peaceful...

She did not want to aggravate him to push her into something she did not want to deal with...what she knew he was capable of being. 'Good. You look much more prettier this way than in that ugly earth form.', he crooned, coming up to her, and feeling her bony white arms carefully. His white face smirked, and he leaned closer to her. 'T'orr, please stop....please....', M'gann begged. 'So you've learned to beg like the rest of us. Perhaps those earthlings have taught you something useful...', he mentally whispered, feeling the brain-like back of her body, and making her twitch slightly. He moved away, and said, 'Now just sit like the good little martian girlfriend you are, and listen to me. You are not to communicate with your friends. You are to lose all outside access. If I hear that you do, I will brain blast that sweet head of yours, and make you forget everything. Making you to begin like the last time, with just us. And our times together. We are meant to be, M'gann. You are just too foolish to realize it.', he told her, and went to go wait for the rest of his company. M'gann watched him, and she quivered. 'Oh Conner. where are you?', she thought to herself, shaking.

A/N: I hope you guys thoroughly enjoyed the chapter! Like I said, the end was a little more adult themed, but I hope it was okay! If you enjoyed, please consider leaving a vote or comment, and sharing it with whomever you think would enjoy this as well. Thanks for being so patient with me this last year with all my delayed books and chapter updates. I hope to be on here more this week to do a cleanup, and to do a few requests for a few excited fans who want sequels to my works. <3
