CHAPTER TWENTY

ANDY SAT NEXT TO REGGIE, SQUEEZED INTO A CHAIR WHILE ALEX LAYED ON THE COUCH. it had been a bit since reggie had found the girl and she had been able to calm down. alex had joined them, luckily after andy calmed in her eyes, and the three were just chilling.

andy had her legs over reggies as he sat straight forward in the seat and she was sideways. alex was busy trying to balance his drum stick on his nose.

the three continued to chill until luke walked through the door and into the studio. quickly, reggie threw andy off of him in fear and she landed on the floor with a hmph.

luke looked at his sister and pointed, "you." his face morphed into confusion, "why are you on the floor?"

andy sent reggie a small glare, "i'd like to know that too." she stood up and looked at luke, "what's up? why am i being pointed at?"

luke quickly remembered what he wanted her for and his eyes widened "oh yeah! uh, come with me.... please."

luke grabbed andy's hand and pulled her out of the room. she stumbled after him until they were privately outside and andy looked at luke questioningly as he sighed, "well two things, actually... one- uh, i kinda had a moment with julie and i like her but it's a problem and two she knows about the whole caleb zappy thing."

andy's eyes widened and she was taken aback by the new information before it all hit her at once and she smiled, "i knew you liked her! what was the moment? where you two looking into each other's eyes longingly? wishing the barrier between ghost and human wasn't such a long one?"

luke rolled his eyes, "andy focus... and no, we tried to hold hands and when it didn't work things got awkward and then...." andy picked up on his cue and her eyes widened before she smacked luke, "dude! why would you let her find out? i thought we weren't supposed to tell her."

luke smacked his sister back, "i didn't mean to! i kinda just got shocked and here we are." andy shrugged, "oh well, it's better she knows anyways so that incase we all just poof away and never come back she knows it isn't cause we are rude."

before luke could comment, andy scrunched up her eyebrows, "our lives are weird... wow. i mean imagine if i were to tell someone about all this, they'd think i was crazy!"

"they wouldn't be able to hear you talking to them."

"shut up that's not the point. evil ghosts were never a priority and now look at where we are... wow." finished andy and luke sighed, "you spent way to much time with reggie."

andy shrugged, "i think i spend the perfect amount of time with him and you're just being all sassy."

luke shook his head and walked back into the studio to tell reggie and alex about julie finding out. andy quickly followed after him and smiled when she saw reggie send a smile her way.

"okay, so. julie knows about all the caleb stuff and we really have no other option besides leaving her." spoke luke, reggie and alex just looked up for a second.

reggie frowned, "wow man, you really brought the mood down quickly didnt you." andy scrunched up her face sadly before taking a seat between reggies legs and bringing her knees to her chest.

luke frowned and took a seat on the floor of the couch alex was on by his head. he laid his legs out in front of andy and the girl let hers go and rested them across her brothers.

the band was all in a bad mood now. andy picked at her nails, reggie mindlessly picked at his bass, alex continued to try and balance his stick on his nose, and luke just stared at the ceiling making faces.

julie walked in, but no one noticed until she yelled, "snap out of it!" alex, shocked, fell from the couch down next to luke and reggie looked around a bit freaked, "jeez, i think you broke alex."

julie looked between the band, "do you all want to cross over or what?" alex moved himself back on the couch, luke lending a hand, and gave julie a look.

she began clapping at all of them which made everyone move away from here a bit, "get it together!"

"they're never gonna let us play the orpheum." spoke luke with a pout and alex added, "we're nobody."

"we're less than nobody. we have no bodies."

luke snapped a finger in reggies direction after that statement as andy moved her position so she could lay her arm on reggies knee and her head on her arm.

julie sighed, "someone once told me that you don't ask for permission. you book gigs by doing." luke gave a small smile julies way as he remembered.

"that was me." smiled reggie proudly.

"no it wasn't."

"no it wasn't."

reggie frowned, "yes, it was."

andy pat the boys knee with her arm that was under her face and julie spoke again, "this isn't over. we were brought together for a reason: to help each other."

alex frowned, "yeah, but like luke said, people don't just play the orpheum because they want to." julie shrugged, "people don't, but ghosts do."

that's when it hit the band and they all smiled, julie spoke, "you all make a plan and then one of you come let me know about it."

she turned away and left back towards her room and andy stood, "i'm gonna talk to her for a bit but you guys come up with the idea."

andy quickly ran out and luke scoffed, "she's really leaving us here to do all the planning so she can go have girl talk?"

alex pat lukes back, "seems like it. let's plan or else when she comes back we'll all get screamed at."

andy poofed outside julies bedroom door and waited for the girl to make her way to her room. julie jumped back a bit when she saw andy, surprised to see her.

"oh my god you're just like luke when you pop out of nowhere geez!" spoke julie, catching her breath a bit. andy bit her lip, "sorry?"

julie smiled, "what's up?" she opened her room door and walked in and when andy didn't follow, julie motioned for her to do just that.

andy took a sheepish step in, "well... i need your advice. you know, girl to girl."

julie smiled, "oh totally! i'd expect you to go to alex for this kind of stuff... not that i'm complaining!"

andy smiled as julie hopped on her bed and faced the girl, "i would talk to alex but he is kinda bad at keeping secrets."

julie nodded in understanding and andy sighed, "so i know about you and lukes moment," julies face fell, "but don't worry i'm cool with it i think you're cool! way cooler than him honestly and you totally heard that from me i mean you can repeat it if you want."

andy took a breath, "sorry, i'm rambling... but- uh, so i like this guy and he knows and we agreed to take things slow but i'm nervous because i don't know what i'll do when we stop taking it slow... i mean, i've never been in a relationship. my whole living time i was crazy about this guy who didn't even remember my birthday sometimes- but, this other guy was always there and now i don't know what i'm meant to do when he finally stops wanting to wait for me."

julie wanted to smile and jump up and down from girl talk but knew it wouldn't exactly be the correct response with how andy ended her story so she just stuck with a small smile, "andy, you're super cool. like, if i where to have known you during high school i would have been freaked out to even be in the same room as you. and this guy, or should i say reggie because if its not him i will find a way to hit you..."

julie gave andy a look and she smiled a bit, a small blush forming, "yeah it's him all right."

julies smile grew, "well then you should know that dork would be crazy not to wait! i mean, i sorta noticed that even before you started sending him eyes he would send them quite frequently. but, you know reggie and just because you now see him differently than you once did doesn't mean his personality has somehow changed! he's still the same old, kinda stupid, reggie we all know. and i bet he remembered your birthday every year."

andy laughed a bit at a memory, "yeah, uh... one time he got so excited he gave me a gift a month early." julie smiled, "if i've gotten to know reggie how i think i have, he'd believe the earth was flat if you told him it was so i bet waiting won't be a problem... and even if it was, you two would be able to talk it out and go through it all together."

andy picked at her nails with a smile, "thanks, julie. that really helped." julie nodded and andy lifted her head and looked at the girl, "so, tell me all about you and luke and i'll try not to vomit too hard."
