CHAPTER SIX -----▹

(If you saw that gif in Run. No, you didn't lol)

Hair braided and tucked under a baseball cap, Iskra kept her head down as she boarded the boat, here she was again, boarding a boat on the run once more. The difference now is, last time she had her mother here with her, keeping the mood light even with all the emotion in the air. But for now, she was totally alone.

She tugged the sleeves of her sweatshirt over her hands, chills running down her spine, as the cool sea breeze floated through the air. Mason had somehow managed to talk her into going back to Norway, he didn't have many other places available, and Iskra preferred Norway to Budapest.

Budapest held very interesting memories, meeting Yelena for the first time after years of being told stories about the blonde, but there were also memories that were all too clear even though they were so long ago, it was the place where she made her very first kill, whether it was in her control or not, that's still where it had happened. She had been so young, too young.

Iskra had already gotten rid of her phone and was now sitting down, knees tucked up under her chin, trying her best not to get too trapped in her own thoughts, "This seat taken?" Iskra barely even looked up at the person standing in front of her, "It's literally not even a seat-" the witch's voice was raspy from not talking for so long, and she didn't bother covering up the once-forgotten Russian accent, "Touché" the raven-haired girl replied, sitting down next to her, "I'm Sara."

Iskra sighed, trying her best to ignore the girl, "So do you have a name, or should I just call you, "The mysterious redhead." ?" Sara asked, Iskra again didn't reply, "I didn't get a good look at your face, but I think your definitely a...Sophie?" this time Iskra looked at Sara in disbelief, "I look like a "Sophie" to you?" Sara shrugged, "Sophie doesn't really fit the accent though, hmm..." the raven-haired girl narrowed her eyes analyzing Iskra, "I've got it now...Anya?"

Iskra raised an eyebrow at her, "Seriously? "Anya?" of all names?" Sara shook her head with a laugh, "Theresa? Clarissa? Tonya?" Iskra had a small smile on her face, and shook her head, "Fine...you won't tell me your name, so your new name is officially...Kayla." Iskra rolled her eyes, "Whatever."

"So, where are you off to, Kayla?" Sara asked after a few beats of silence, "Somewhere between nowhere, and everywhere." Iskra replied sarcastically, "Interesting...you're very mysterious." Sara said studying the girl, "I am a stranger. I could literally be a murder." Iskra quipped, "No. You aren't a stranger, you are my new friend, Kayla." the raven-haired girl spoke, "And I could take you if you turn out to be a murderer." Iskra laughed, "That's really funny, Sara."

"Hey, I'm just saying you never know-" Sara spoke, "Oh my God, I finally got it, that's a Russian accent, right?" she exclaimed, "Wow. So cool," she replied sarcastically. "You're one to talk, you would've spent New years eve all alone if I hadn't come over here...and that is so uncool." Sara spoke, and Iskra looked at her, "If I'm not mistaken, you would've too." Sara waved it off, "I'm cool enough that spending New Years alone doesn't make me uncool."

---many hours later---

"It was very nice meeting you Kayla, maybe one day we will see each other again, between nowhere and everywhere." Sara spoke, and Iskra rolled her eyes, "Goodbye, Sara." Iskra said, walking away, she had a slip of paper with the details to where Mason left a car for her was, she followed the directions, and began her journey off to the place she had stayed years ago.

She approached the trailer cautiously gun tucked away,  Iskra rolled her eyes at the sight of Mason asleep on the couch, "You know," she began, causing him to jump, "Every time I see you're sleeping." Iskra noted, "What can I say my job is exhausting. Your name is all over the news Mini Romanoff," he said, "Believe me, I'm aware." Iskra replied, "You've grown up, and dyed your hair." he said, "You got old." she quipped in response,

"I'm sorry about Natasha," he noted and she looked up at the ceiling for a moment, "Yeah, me too. It's hard without her, everything in my life has been a mess since the minute I found out she was gone," Iskra spoke, there was a few beats of silence, "Anyways, the stuff you asked for," he said handing her duffle bag, "You gave me cool alias, right?" she asked, she plucked a passport from the bag, her jaw literally dropped when she read the name, "Kayla...that is a very weird coincidence." he gave her a questioning look which she chose to ignore.

"You can still, get Kate here safely, right?" Iskra asked closing the passport, "You know I can." he replied, "Good. The sooner the better." Iskra spoke.

----

Kate had checked her phone for what felt like every minute, even though it had been nowhere near 48 hours since she had last spoken with Iskra. Sam and Bucky had found the call to be a little odd, so they were sticking around for the time being.

The brunette let out a long breath closing her bedroom door, and unfolding the piece of paper from Iskra's file, should she tell her? No, it would only cause her pain...right? Kate's phone went off,  snapping her out of her thoughts, the message was a single line address, and a time to go to said address. She took a deep breath, Iskra was literally trained to know when someone was lying, how was she going to keep this from her.

A few hours later, she pulled into a parking lot, the night sky was dark covering the abandoned place, allowing no light to slip through, soon after she parked, another car pulled up, headlights shining directly in her eyes, a silhouetted figure stepped out of the car, and knocked on her window, which she cautiously rolled down, "Kate Bishop?" she asked, "Depends on wh...whose asking."

"My name is Eloise Volkova," the woman introduced herself, "I heard you know Iskra." Kate shook her head, "Nope, never heard of an Iskra..." Kate said, "You've got the wrong brunette-" she continued, the woman raised an eyebrow, "Do I now?"

She handed kate a photo, it was her and Iskra at the Christmas Eve party, "That's not me. Nope." the brunette shook her head, "I don't know anyone by the name Iskra, other than the one Avenger Witch Chic...yeah. Yeah I don't know any Iskra," she carefully reached under her seat for the gun Iskra had stashed there, there was a click next to her head, "Put the gun down Kate, it would be a shame if I had to kill you. Your mother would not be happy with me." Kate's eyes widened in surprise, "Yep, ok." she slowly lowered the gun.

"Step out of the car," Eloise instructed, keeping the gun pointed directly by Kate's head, "Yeah....I'm moving" she stepped out of the car, hands raised, "Not quickly enough, I'm on a schedule, Miss Bishop." It took Kate a moment to process what the woman had said,

"Wait? My Mother?!?
