His eyes were trained on the silhouette.

From his crouched position, he could tell that the man was about to make his move.

The moonlight illuminated the pieces of rope scattered on the ground. He watched as the man slowly got up.

Once the man was fully standing, he did all he could to observe and remember every single detail about him. The short, black hair, the loose, dark green jacket that hung from his shoulders, the pendant on his necklace, the sturdy footwear. The way the torches around him cast shadows on his face, giving him a haunted look.

The man took off his blindfold, revealing a single scar that ran across his right eye.

The man, once his lifelong friend, so familiar... is now nothing more than a stranger to him.

Foreign.

He looked on helplessly as a second person, kneeled by the man's side, silently handed him a gun.

He remained quiet as the man sauntered forward and aimed.

Then he found that he couldn't look.

He couldn't.

He wanted to squeeze his eyes shut and hide from the world at that moment. He didn't want to watch.

And yet, his eyes remained coldly glued on the man as the sound of a gunshot rang clearly through the air.

His mind buzzed with questions.

Why would the emperor just stand there without defending himself?

Could he have known that his time was up? That a peasant was on the rise?

That he couldn't be the emperor any longer?

He shook his head in dismay.

Everyone knew about the emperor. Everyone knew about the peasant who wanted to take over the throne.

But no one knew him.

No one looked into the Shadow.

No one knew the Min Yoongi caught in the middle of it all.

A/N: This is more of an abstract oneshot; the meaning is open to interpretation.

Put simply though, what you've just read is the last scene of the Daechwita MV, which includes Agust D and Agust D-2. Then the Min Yoongi from "Interlude: Shadow" is watching them from the sidelines.
