ONCE A FLIRT, NOW A BEAST!!
Sumedh's POV
That stupid girl Kavya! How dare she steal my basket! Does she has any brains? No fun with personal belongings!
Yes! Its personal! How dare she? I could kill her this very moment! The moment Chika told me that she ran away with my basket, my mind stopped working. Doesn't she even respect or fear Andrew Sir, her crush! Oh, does that even count now!
I started running towards the forest without thinking any further thought, towards the direction Chika pointed.
Literally, I was running frantically round and round the forest! Then, I stopped and looked at clues or something. Yes, I did saw her hanky lying there! I am being literally crazy.
KAVYA, YOU ARE REALLY GONNA PAY FOR IT! NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE, I HAD HATRED FOR ANY GIRL LIKE I HAVE FOR YOU. YOU ARE MOST ....EVEN WORDS ARE LESS TO DESCRIBE YOU. YOU LITERALLY MADE ME A BEAST. 'ONCE A FLIRT, NOW A BEAST.' JUST WAIT BEFORE, I CATCH YOU.
As I was busy with my thoughts, I heard something which broke my chain of thoughts. I moved in that direction cautiously and Kavya sitting there, struggling to stand up.
Is she mad? She hurt herself badly just to irritate me by taking my life away.
Seeing me, she smiled cheekily.
I am gonna...
She came towards me proudly as if she achieved Nobel prize.
Seeing her grin like that killed me. And she started, "No need to than...."
Before, she could say anything, I slapped her. YEAH! I SLAPPED HER! Ofcourse, she deserved that! How could she take my basket away from me.
She looked at me shocked.
Ohh God, what did she expect from me. A big hug and a huge applause for literally killing me by taking away my life.
Her eyes filled with tears.
Woah!! Now, that girly drama!
I bluntly said to her, "You fool! How dare you steal my basket! You thief! You are a huge stain in the name of friendship! You know what I have never ever dared to hurt a girl. You are the first one, because of whom I had to forget all my ethics. You are such a big unluck to all. Get lost forever! I dont wanna see your bitchy face away. "
Kavya ran away from there quietly. She deserved that. For hurting me. For stealing away my life from me. I bent down to look at my basket. Hush!! Nothing was wrong! I looked back at Kavya. She even wasn't able to walk properly.
I saw Chika and Sid standing at a distance. Kavya didn't even looked at them. They tried to stop her but it was a waste of time. She ran away.
Chika came towards me angrily. I quickly shut my basket and stood up to face her. She knew after all it was not my mistake. Kavya was at fault.
As Chika reached me, I opened my mouth to explain her. But before, I could say anything, SHE HELD MY COLLAR AND PUNCHED ME HARD.
I WAS SHOCKED. SHE WAS PUNCHING ME CONTINUOUSLY. I WASN'T ABLE TO BREATHE PROPERLY.
Sid came to my rescue and calmed her down, "Chikaa, Chika. Calm down calm down." And held her hands.
She angrily struggled to set herself free and angry tears flowing down her cheeks screaming nearly, "How dare you? How dare you hit her? She put herself in trouble for that stupid basket and YOU...YOU SLAPPED HER?! HOW DARE YOU?"
I too spoke,"She deserv..." when Chika's words ringed my ears! 'She put herself in trouble for your stupid basket.'
I ask doubtfully, "Wait, what?! She put herself in trouble for my bas..basket. It means she didn't steal it."
To this, Sid replied rudely, "NO! She did all that for your basket! FOR YOU! AND YOU SLAPPED HER?!"
He further continues,"Sumedh, I never ever expected this from you. I know that the basket means EVERYTHING for you. But was that a way , you should be behave with a girl. With a friend?! You tell her that she is a stain on the name of friendship! What about you? You are not even should be called a 'man'. "
Then he narrated whole incident to me!
Reality struck me! I Slapped Her! Islapped the most loyal friend one could ever have. She put her life in danger for a basket! Just for my sake! And I.... I am so bad!! Her cheeky smile! She was so proud for being able to rescue my basket.
And now when I hit her, her eyes widened with shock! Hurt was clearly visible in her eyes. Tears filled her eyes.
And after my super duper insulting speech, her eyes said that all! She was broken! Her self-respect and self-esteem was hurt! Which wasn't visible in my anger. Sid is right! I broke all rules of being a gentleman! I don't deserve anything. I don't deserve her friendship.
Chika stood there, sobbing. Sid was beside her, consoling her.
I went to her and held my ears.
I confessed, "Chika. I am really very sorry. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness. But, please understand. I am damn possessive about my basket, you know naa. When you were saying that, I misunderstood it as Kavya doing this. In my anger, I didn't even listen fully what you were saying and I, in my anger, slapped her. I couldn't even see truthfulness in her eyes. I am guilty. Please punish me. I deserve your punishment."
To this, Chika stopped crying. She calmed herself and replied, "Sumedh, we understand your love for your basket. You love it unconditionally. So Kavya risked her life for your basket.
And if you are sorry, its Kavya to whom you should apologise. She didn't deserve any of your rude behaviour. Yess! She did deserve a big hug and a huge applause. Now, we will forgive you only after she forgives you."
Sid smiled and nodded. I too nodded my head in agreement. The pain in her eyes! Thinking about it is literally killing me now.
Suddenly, fear struck me! Where is Kavya?
I asked Chika, "Chika, but where is Kavya? " Sid and Chika froze at the question.
I told her to get lost forever! Am I that crazy! Ohh God, please help.
Chika seemed to struck by terror. She quickly said, "C'mon quick, we must return back to bus. Sh...she may be there." She stammered.
Hope, it proves right. Kavya, I know you are strong enough to handle. But.. Oh God.. she wasn't able to walk. What if that intruder attacks her?! God, please keep her safe. All just because of me. I hate myself!
